Ordered a takeaway, waited over an hour and a half (came 20 minutes late), sauces for meat dishes missing and prawn crackers missing. Rang to inform them to be told they would be delivered after 30 minutes still no sauces or prawn cracker. Very disappointed will definitely not go again.

Imagine paying £2.00 more than you have too? Now imagine they do it to every one of you!? Prawn Panang Curry is £9.00. Chicken Satay is £5.50. Rice is £3.00. So why did I get charged £19.50?! Absolute liars.

Brilliant Thai food, very fresh and tasty. Would say this is currently the best place for Thai food in the area and we would definitely return. The curries, pad Thai and dumplings were lovely. I would definitely ring ahead before collecting as the place does get busy and the wait time is around 45-50 mins. They also take card as well as cash

Without fail, in our opinion, the best Thai food in town. After having the opportunity to travel to Thailand 🇹🇭 we fell in love with not only the country, the people, the climate, but also the food. We have returned to Sawai Thai Takeaway quite a few times and sampled a lot of their menu, and it is just delicious. Ordering online is super simple, quick, and easy to use on their own website page. We stayed at the Elemental Surf Lodge opposite and decided to eat here one evening. The highlight of the week was the Thai food opposite.. Green & Red vegetable curry both amazing and we had plenty of starters which were equally great. Highly recommended if you are staying nearby! 🙏🏻

This was a brilliant find when we arrive late in Newquay. Ordered online and the picked up. The food was beautifully cooked and delicious. The multi coloured prawn crackers made the kids crazy with excitement. The curries had great flavours and since one of our groups is half Thai we were very impressed!

We found this Thai takeaway browsing google and decided to order after reading reviews. I’m so glad we did as the food was really good- very authentic and every mouthful was delicious. Thoroughly recommend if you’re having a take away night. There was a large group of us so we ordered quite a few dishes- favourites were the Panaeng, green and red curries as well as the satay and spring rolls. The stir fried noodles also excellent. Portions are generous too! So easy to place your order online and then go and collect at the given time. Just near the Sainsbury’s in Newquay. Give it a try- you won’t be disappointed

We came here after looking for somewhere to eat, late one evening. We were blown away by the food and said it was the best we had whilst in Cornwall. We went down to the beach to eat it. Food was freshly cooked and piping hot. Couldn’t recommend enough!

The ladies were excellent with our order and customisation needed (no egg or extra tofu or less spicy etc). 2 x pad thai and 1 x glass noodle salad, ready for collection in 30mins. HUGE PORTIONS! had to save 1 dish for next day. It all smelled so good as we walked up to the place, and as we sat to eat on a bench, waiting for the sunset over Fistral Beach, a bunch of people asked where we got the food from as it smelled so good and there are so few places close to the beach that are reasonably priced Very extensive menu with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. No greasy after taste at all. Highly recommended. Calling ahead to order for collection seems the easiest option as there are only 4 chairs outside the van

Well what can I say about this place apart from exceptional. I’ve ate many Thai meals wether that be in a restaurant or cooked by Thai friends but I would say this is the best Thai Green Curry I’ve ever tasted. This has got to be the best Thai in Newquay. It’s only takeaway but for me it’s better than sitting in a restaurant. I had to wait for the food as they were busy & it’s worth the wait. I’ll be back for more before going back north & visiting every visit back to Newquay.

Ordered a veggie Pad Thai, a green Thai curry and spring rolls for my partner and I. The food was really delicious, excellent in fact. I took my own Tupperware, so no waste at the end. The lady who worked there said that's good for me, that's good for you and good for the planet. I will definitely be returning to Sawai. Thanks

We read the reviews and wondered if it really could be as good as everyone raves about it….yes it could Initially my husband turned up and wondered if it was the right place as it’s a small trailer kind of thing and you wonder how they can produce high standard food and such a large menu. We all raved about our meal. I had the Thai green curry which was incredible. Jam packed with veg and huge prawns. My daughter had the pad Thai and she said it was lovely. Sweet and sour chicken stir fry was packed with meat and veg Definitely a big thumbs up from us

This is such an incredible food spot. We are lucky to live very close by so we order online & collect within half an hour, the staff are friendly & the food is incredible, full of flavour & colours, big portions & great prices. We’ve had our fair share now & they just get better & better.

Having recently returned from four years living in Thailand, we knew it would be a bit of a risk ordering Thai food in The UK. However, this restaurant did not disappoint! Placing an order on line for delivery was straightforward and it was delivered on time. To be honest, we ordered dishes that are quite difficult to replicate in The UK and understood they would not be exactly as they would be in Thailand. The Pad See Ew for example did not come with sen yai noodles and the Pad Krapow was not with Holy Basil, but this is totally understandable as these ingredients are not readily available here. Nevertheless the Krapow was ped mak (spicy) as it should be. It was also good to have plenty of veg added in as well - without scrimping on the meat. Our kids let the side down by ordering chips - but these were great as well - along with the pad broccoli and sticky rice we made them have! We probably should have read previous reviews and not ordered as much, as the portions are very generous. I happily ate the leftovers for lunch the next day. No hesitation in recommending. Aroy mak!

Ate here and the food was delicious. Pleasure to see them cutting fresh pineapple for the sweet and sour dish too. Lovely ladies with a good sense of humour. Highly recommended, which i guess you can tell based on their Google score.

Genuinely some of the best food I have ever eaten. Spicy but doesn't blow your head off. Chicken cooked to perfection. We cancelled our reservation at a 5* restaurant on our last night in Newquay, so we could eat here again. Spot on 😋

Just had a takeaway meal from Sawai Thai Takeaway and it WAS GREAT! Green curry was great, pad thai with prawns was great, battered squid was great and so was the rice. Green curry had just enough kick, I'm not a fan of crazy hot....

Having walked the length of Newquay looking for somewhere to eat, most menus offering burgers, we found this place on our walk back to the car park, decided to order to take back to the campsite and are so glad we did. Excellent value for money, very good quality freshly cooked food that was delicious, highly recommend!

I don't understand the 5 star reviews here, maybe they were having a bad day when I ordered, but my food wasn't that great. They were really busy, it was a 45mins wait for food & I was ok with waiting but I did expect great Thai, instead I got Steamed Chicken Dumplings that were so hard they would have physically hurt someone if I threw them at a person! They were really awful. The Pad Thai was ok but the ingredients were quite dry & tough. The Pad See Ew was the same, good flavour in the noodles but the chicken was tough. They weren't on their A game. To Sawai Thai - Shame you guys spend all your time being upset at reviews that were mediocre instead of recognising the issues & doing better next time, that's all that's needed, not your childish tantrums. You clearly didn't notice that I gave you 3 stars, which means the food was ok but not great. I didn't give you 1 or 2 stars so when you're over your tantrum you can deal with how you skimmed past the good parts!! I wrote hundreds of reviews about Thai food whilst in Thailand actually, but I wrote them on another website that is well known for food reviews particularly. Most of the food in Thailand was awesome actually, maybe you need a trip back there to freshen your skills. I have written positive reviews relating to food & not just coffee but I guess when you're short-sighted you only see what suits you instead of the opportunities to improve. You should re-read my review, see that I had something positive to say about your noodles so it wasn't all negative, which is why it was rated 3 stars & not fewer. I mean wow, your ego is extra!!

After a long day of travelling from mid Wales, me and my partner decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. After a bit of debate we deceive to order from Sawai Thai and boy I’m so glad we did, as it really did not disappoint....

Food was excellent, so fresh and full of flavour, one of the best Thai meals we have had outside of Thailand. Definitely worth a visit, good price and large portions. It’s a shame we are only here visiting or we would definitely be here on...

I’ve eaten Thai food for years but this is one of the most outstanding street vendors I have come across. We had rang ahead and asked if they had a portable table where we could could sit down in the sun and eat our food....

Best Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand! The ladies here are so good and it’s amazing how well they work out of the food truck, trust me the quality of the food is better than most restaurants! Highly recommend! Plenty of options on the menu and they offer local delivery for a small charge.

My chicken with cashews was delicious , fab veg,full of fresh flavour, looked just like the picture, amazing. My husband had thai green curry, he said it was the best he ever had, and so reasonable. Excellent value.

Dont be put off by the size of this place. It is tiny and looks like you couldn't boil an egg in there. The food that comes out of here is nothing short of miraculous. Sorry but apart from my fix of fish and chips this is now the only takeaway for me in Newquay.

First time ordering from here this evening and I just had to leave a review. I ordered 1 x Tempura Chicken 1 x Kao Kati (Coconut Rice) and 1 x Panang Chicken Curry. Value for money is exceptional. As the dishes were priced much cheaper than others, I expected slightly smaller portions. This was not the case at all! There was plenty and the same size portion you'd expect from any other takeaway. The tempura chicken was delicious. I could honestly eat it every day. The batter was light and crispy whilst the chicken was cooked perfectly inside. The coconut rice was also really good. Sticky and full of coconut flavour. I really enjoyed enjoyed panang curry. I like that you don't include peanuts in yours like some others do but it was a little sweeter than I'm used to. I will definitely be coming back for more especially at their prices. And the delivery guy has his little girl with him! Instantly made me think "family" about this business. Can't recommend them enough. Absolutely superb meal. Thank you

We have been coming to Newquay for 5 years and have always stayed at Trencreek and ordered from the same Thai take away (Elephant) I have to say Saryn is worlds apart. AMAZING, authentic, they get your order correct - they have a brilliant online order system so you can select your delivery time which they are faultless, I am so delighted and cant wait to order again. Food is authentic, the thai green and red curry have well proportioned meat to veg and satay and Pad Thai amazing.
