The best restaurants serving British food in Padstow Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Went to our favourite place for breakfast twice over a long weekend - brilliant both times! This is a wonderful place - lovely, charming service and the food is cracking! We only ever feel we have had a lovely time in Cornwall if we have visited Ben’s - you owe it to yourselves!

To start with this is a cafe not a restaurant. So they specialise in lots of different sandwiches. They also serve jacket potatoes and soup, plus cakes. I have been twice now in the last couple of weeks and both times the food and the staff have been great. Today I was with two other people (one who is a very fussy eater), we all ordered different meals and we were all really happy with what we had. They cater for meat and fish eaters as well as veggie and vegan people as well. I don't think that they serve GF bread but they do a good selection of jackets so no problem there. The only slight drawback is the size. You can end up waiting for a table though you can order to take away as well. Prices are good too compared with the town I live in. So, basically a no frills cafe with great food and great service. I would recommend this to almost anybody except that the toilet is not wheelchair user friendly.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend and we had a great time! The room was lovely, excellent shower, comfy bed and spotlessly clean. Great coffee, food was fantastic, can throughly recommend the veggie options plus the brownies were delicious! Tom was so friendly and helpful, he recommended some top surf spots too. Would definitely stay here again as it was really good value for money and we were made to feel so welcome, we will definitely be back!

Didn't actually get to try as not welcomed. Visited around midday , just wanted a hot drink. Several empty tables. Lady not very friendly. Asked if we were going to be eating, said probably just a drink. Told would need to order something to eat and could come in if I had a piece of cake with my drink! Oh well custom taken else where.

Maybe the best cortado I’ve had yesterday morning 🤤 and I’ve just been living in Spain (el casa de cortados) for 7 years.

Had Lunch In Greens.. memories are fond as this was a restaurant i spent a lot of time at as a Younger Child. The prices are quite high but the food was really tasty 🩵 Views offered over the padstow estaury are really beautiful. Altogether its a must visit but it is much better in the summer for the views. Hasnt changed in years which is fab , offers fond memories for those returning to padstow after years of not coming

Friendly mother and daughter team. Had lovely cream tea, excellent value. Later had bacon, sausage sandwich, great bread. Would have preferred bacon, sausage to be cooked more, but that’s personal preference prefer well done. Also sold hand selection of handmade jewellery, trinkets etc. bought lovely earrings and ring.

Used to be a great cafe within a local garden centre where you could guarantee a well cooked, reasonably priced meal. Not anymore!. Just paid £15.00 for undercooked approx 4 ounce burger with a slice of cheddar cheese, 2 slices of tomato and 2 slices of gherkin plus 'chips'. All food lukewarm. This is Cornwall, not Fitzrovia, and even though Mr Ramsay lives here for some of the year no excuse for charging same amount as we pay for a decent burger in his latest restaurant venture. I did ask the waitress to mention my complaints to the 'chef' but this fell on deaf ears. Will not be returning. You have been warned!

Mind Blown. An absolutely amazing stay and one I will return to for sure. The rooms were high end and super high quality, while being spacious and quiet. I loved the wooden decor, and the space provided in the numerous lounges in the hotel. My room was in the new Stonehouses just across the courtyard from the main house, and you didn’t feel far away, or any bother if you needed anything. I absolutely loved the fresh milk, and bottled water in the fridge for tea too. The onsite restaurant was spot on, and the food served from local produce was spectacular. The Belly Pork was fantastic, and eating onsite was a pleasure; Everyone wanted to make sure you had a great time -Andreas was a superstar. There are endless walks around the area and it’s a short walk down to Harlyn Beach. Parking is free but you need to register your car at reception. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I will be returning again.

Regular visitors. Food always good and reasonably priced, compared to the surrounding area and Padstow in particular. Jackie, Chloe, Ella and rest of the staff always very friendly. It's exactly what a proper village pub should be.

Catered for all of us awkward types (veggie, vegan,gluten free) and was delicious! Service was also delightful and helpful - love it xxx

Only wanted cone of chips and battered sausage with chips. Chips were cold sausage was was encased in an over thick batter lucky it was hot. Worst chip shop ever and the review isn’t highlighting £4 for a bag of cold chips

As it stands the best pasty i've eaten in Cornwall, pastry was cooked to perfection, flavoured and seasoned just right and the taste gold star. bacon chorizo and chicken yum and steak and stilton highly recommended
