Jo Jo's Kitchen in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

To start with this is a cafe not a restaurant. So they specialise in lots of different sandwiches. They also serve jacket potatoes and soup, plus cakes. I have been twice now in the last couple of weeks and both times the food and the staff have been great. Today I was with two other people (one who is a very fussy eater), we all ordered different meals and we were all really happy with what we had. They cater for meat and fish eaters as well as veggie and vegan people as well. I don't think that they serve GF bread but they do a good selection of jackets so no problem there. The only slight drawback is the size. You can end up waiting for a table though you can order to take away as well. Prices are good too compared with the town I live in. So, basically a no frills cafe with great food and great service. I would recommend this to almost anybody except that the toilet is not wheelchair user friendly.

For anyone planning a visit here to smple the crab sandwiches, it closed in November and is now sadly is just a sweet shop. 😔

Popped in here for a crab sandwich. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Ordered the crap sandwich. Not the cheapest sandwich for crab, but hey, it tasted really good. Would have liked a bit more filling to bread ratio for my personal liking though.

Jo and all staff give a warming welcome, all food is great quality and delicious. Highly recommend!!

Having read good reviews of this place we decided to call in for a sandwich when we visited Padstow, it is tucked away up one of the streets from the harbour area so a little quieter than the mad tourist areas. Not much seating, only one table and a window seat, but they were happy for us to sit there. Really lovely ladies serving, delicious prawn sandwich, plenty of locals popping in and out which is always a good sign! 10/10.

Called in before we went walking to Harbour Cove , had a bacon n egg sandwich and a latte both excellent. On way back tried a strawberry milkshake again top notch , if the local tradesmen use this shop you can tell it’s good .

Lovely selection to choose from. Had a egg and sausage bap - egg cooked to perfection and lovely quality sausages. Will 100% return.

Had a bacon bap and coffee - nice and reasonably priced. However sausage bap was awful - cheap tasteless sausage so threw away.

Fabulous food! I had the scotch egg (£3), carrot cake (£2) and a baguette (£4.25). All we're delicious and very reasonably priced.

We stopped unplanned and so glad we did. The homemade soup was delicious and more than reasonably priced. The owner was cheerful, and entertaining. I would definitely recommend a visit for a lunch break.

Really tasty freshly prepared food. The salads are worth a mention - lots of variety from beetroot to coleslaw and potato salad and only £5 a box. We also had a tuna and cheese panini, a chicken and pesto panini (which was stuffed full of chicken!) and a plain cheese sandwich. All delicious. Came to a very reasonable £20 with four drinks. We had to wait quite a while for the food, which was the only minor negative and they made me a cheese salad instead of a chicken salad, but it was absolutely delicious, so no real complaints!

A great little find if you’re fed up with Cornish pasties. It’s take away only and the food is prepared fresh and beautifully packaged for you. Perfect to take it to the harbour a few minutes walk away and enjoy the scenic surroundings. Baguettes were fresh, coffee was lovely and THE best coffee and walnut cake I have ever tasted! Whoever made that is a star baker! Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

We tend to visit this great little deli when we visit Padstow. I wondered whether it would be different in the height of summer. I was extremely pleased to experience the same yummy food and friendly service. We ordered a baguette and panini and the most delicious cookie dough brownie 😋 delicious and good value. Well worth a visit.

Simple, efficient and enjoyable food. We stopped to buy a nice crab and chicken sandwich. We ordered inside, waited few minutes outside before leaving. Quick and easy. I would recommend it.

Was going to grab a pasty for breakfast but wandered past Jo Jos. Orders two breakfast rolls, one bacon and one bacon and sausage. Delicious bacon, roll was filled! Will go back to get breakfast again! Great little place and run by friendly people!

Such a lovely place! The lady and her two daughters are quick, helpful and so nice. The food is great; freshly made to order and delicious with a good variety/choice. We’ve been a few times and it has been consistently good!

Yesterday, we visited to purchase some milkshakes, which were yummy! we also grabbed a bite to eat, which was cooked to order quickly, and was delicious! we even returned today to purchase the same food again, which was hot and the lovely lady was very welcoming and extremely nice, chatting whilst waiting for our food to cook. It’s a quaint little deli, with an amazing salad bar, as well as sandwich and hot/cold drinks selection. Dogs are allowed in and are welcome. extremely reasonably priced and great quality, using local produce. this is a must visit for lunch, whether it’s for a salad, sandwich, jacket potato or just a drink; this is a hidden gem.

We were recommended Jo Jo’s kitchen by a friend and we are so glad we decided to give it a try. Food is prepared fresh and within view of the customer. This place is recommended by the locals which is always a good sign. Myself and our daughter thought the milkshakes were to die for, they are made with Cornish ice cream, milk, whipped cream and a choice of flavourings ie Oreo, malteasers, strawberry not your usual powdered rubbish. Will definitely be back when we are next in the area.

I stopped here to pick up a crab baguette to take on my walk to Harlyn Bay and back. Nice fresh atmosphere; pleasant service; and a tasty roll when I got to taste it a few hours later.

Discovered in a walk round Padstow. Cakes delicious, milk shakes popular with grandchildren and son in law. Salads fantastic and such value. Staff very friendly and cheerful. Highly recommend it.

I work in Padstow and swear by Jo Jo's Kitchen food for my lunch on a daily basis. The owner and her staff members are friendly, kind and have amazing rapport and banter with their customers while they create great fresh paninis, toasties, jacket potatoes, salad boxes, milkshakes and yummy treats for dessert. My favourite is the jaffa cake-cake...could eat a whole one. The soup is also delicious and its great to see a small business cater for the public's likes and dislikes. Nothing is too much trouble and every meal is prepared so you can choose your own combinations.

I've been going to JoJo's since it opened everyday for my lunch, the food is always fresh and the service always fantastic. There's always a wide range of options available from jacket potatoes to salad boxes, and the selection of deserts is too tempting.

Feeling peckish but wanting something good value and good quality, we sauntered a street away from quayside and found Jojo's Kitchen, a tiny cafe serving food with a big heart. With a really friendly welcome, we ordered a hot chocolate (excellent big cup of hot choc) and a red pepper, lentil and tomato soup with a cornish bread roll (which I think is a brough?). The soup was freshly made that morning and absolutely delicious, very filling (couldn't quite finish it!) and perfect nourishment on a windy, rainy day. Thank you Jojo's Kitchen!

I couldn't tell you how many times I've been here now, i will narrow it down and just say a lot. A large selection of lunch time food available, but as im a creature of habit so generally go in for a salad box, which the ingredients always taste very crisp and full of flavour, before now i never knew it was actually possible to get excited about salad, but honestly sometimes it can be the food highlight of my day. I can also highly recommend the chilli during the winter months, which is very tasty and filling.

Ok - I admit we went here as my sister is officially auntie jo jo !! Kids had home made meatball and chilli panini which was delicious. Crab sandwich lovely too. Really friendly with lots of locals coming in for lunch much. Definitely worth leaving the busy harbour front to visit.

Jo Jo’s kitchen is a small family owned sandwich and coffee-shop in the heart of Padstow. The food is fantastic and wholesome, and Jo Jo herself is always friendly and welcoming...I have never had a bad experience there. Food ranges from gourmet sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salads to home-made quiches, Mac and Cheese (and the best scotch-eggs I have ever tasted!) prices are very reasonable and the food delicious! Thoroughly recommend when you just want a quick and easy lunch or some delicious home-made goodies! The home-made spicy meatball ciabatta in the photo was made to order, and so tasty!

Love the scotch eggs, and picnic bits, would highly recommend, lots of fresh stuff and great sandwiches.
