Not just the best curry west of Mumbai - probably the best curry I have ever had....andI've had a few! Don't miss it. We had takeaway twice and brilliant. Can we take you home with us ?

When booking online I had the choice of inside or glass pod. I elected for the glass pod with a view to maybe inside on arrival if space, having eaten in the glass pod when it was the Mussel Box, and if its quiet it can be a little lacking in atmosphere. On arrival the inside was closed, I was told to go to the glass pod. I was given a table close to the door and asked if anything else might be available further down the room, this was accommodated but it felt a little begrudging. I ordered a starter followed by other starters for my main. I was told it would come in any order when cooked. The food was nice. The overall experience could have been much better. The sense is that service is not prioritised. In comparison to say Rojanos, where service is consistently good, and as a result they are always busy, Reggie's feels a little lazy. It's a great shame because it could be a real asset to the Padstow dining experience.

Not been here before but we opted to give it a try based on the reviews. The best description I can give is its almost Indian Tapas. There are a range of small dishes you can choose from as well as a limited range of curries.The food was excellent and the service very good. We really enjoyed the onion bhajis and the pen puri (that Im sure is not how thats spelt) with the mixed curry plater for 2. With 1 wine and a half a lager the bill came to a very reasonable £56. Only criticisms were: we were sat inside and it was cold with the outside door open. The outside seating area was warmer as it had heaters and they offered no form of desert, not even a sorbet to clear the pallet. That said we will be back, with jumpers on.

Our favourite meal out in ages, just what Padstow needs. The onion bhajis are worth a visit alone. The Lamb and Ox curries were delicious and all at a reasonable price. Look forward to returning.

My wife and I have been visiting Padstow for many years for its fine selection of great restaurants. We're particularly fond of Indian food and until now we've felt it's the one thing missing from Padstow. We hadn't been aware the Mussel box had changed to Reggies so it was a nice surprise on our recent trip that we had new Indian restaurant in the heart of Padstow. We simply had to try it and we weren't disappointed. Safe to say Reggies will be a permanent fixture of our future visits. The only thing I'd say is until you look at the menu it's not exactly clear from the outside that it's an Indian restaurant. Maybe a name change and some traditional Indian decor would raise its profile as a proper Indian restaurant overlooking the beautiful Padstow Harbour. I'm sure this place will soon become very popular in the coming years..

Thoroughly enjoyed our curry at Reggie’s. The food is superb and a change from more traditional cuisine. We all thought the home made onion bhajis were excellent as well as the Pani Phuri as our starters. The fish curry didn’t disappoint but for me the Chicken Heriliyahi (smoked chicken) was a real winner and there was a lot of it as well! A great change to have an authentic curry option in Padstow and look forward to using Reggie’s for takeaway in the quieter months as well. Service was attentive at all times.

First time getting food from Reggie’s and we had decided on a takeaway rather than eat in. Ordered online and selected our collection time. Arrived 5 mins before as requested and our food was only a 2-3 minute wait. Food was lovely, I had the chicken tikka and my wife had the karahi lamb. We also had poppadoms and onion bhajis. Food was really tasty and nicely cooked. Don’t have any complaints. Will definitely eat here again

Booked this for our anniversary thinking it would be really special. However, sadly it was not that great. The food needs hotness rating as one of our party could not eat it. We also wanted some mango chutney for our popadoms which may not be traditional but what we are used to. My curry was too wet for my liking. As it states to be street food I expected a tiffin etc.

Had a lovely family meal here while on holiday in Padstow. Nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was excellent. Best curry we’ve had in a long time. Would highly recommend.

Such a shame . Service poor , had to ask for cutlery , and the table to be wiped . Food greasy and tasteless wouldn’t go back .

We were looking forward to trying Reggie’s, the menu looked good but we were really disappointed. On arrival there were no staff to be seen, we waited a while and a lad came out, pointed us to a ‘table at the front’ none of the tables were clean and ready. The glass pod dining area looked a bit shabby and uncared for, a couple of chairs were broken, there used to be cushions that made the place look more inviting. We were then told to scan the QR code to order, we’d have liked to ask questions about the food but weren’t given the chance. We ordered drinks first, had to fill in name, address, payment details including what tip we’d like to give before even served anything. Then go through the whole rigmarole again when we ordered food, felt like me may as well have been in McDonalds. The curries we had were tasty but nothing special, certainly not worth the £18 & £16 we paid.Hoping these are just teething problems as Reggie’s is newly opened, such a shame.

Amateurish way to serve people, some people had their order taken and some had to order on an app which asks you to leave a tip before the food even arrives. Ordering on the app is ok except we would have loved an explanation as to what some of the dishes were. No proper service its a very average dinning experience, so sad. The food was ok at best not good value. Bring back Mussel Box.

We were very excited to have an Indian in Padstow but what a let down . This isn't a new operator just the guy who had the basement who has gone into liquidation owing a fair few local people money and has started up again with a new company - Reggies . The owner came out and was talking to some people who were clearly friends and he said "the only bit of kit I am waiting for is an Indian chef" and that was very evident. You order on an App and are asked to tip before you have even had any food or service. We spoke to waitress and said we presume poppadoms come out first - she said yes. they came out last. But the flavours were akin to a mediocre attempt at home to cook curry . The goan fish curry had a decent portion of fish but looked like it had been steamed and put into a bowl of very watery bland sauce. The naan bread was the worst I have ever had and was like a supermarket bought bread kept warm in the oven and dried up at the edges . All of the wines were £28 and we just had the merlot which was not great and expensive given the retail price . The waiting staff were pleasant We spend a lot of time in padstow and this was such a poor meal - sadly wont be back and still a big opportunity for a proper authentic Indian in Padstow . I have been to mumbai a number times and this falls way short of genuine street food I have tasted.

On a wet, quiet evening we received a warm welcome. The food was superb - we had bajis, poppadums, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Gosht and Goan Fish curry between us and each serving was delicious, with enough heat for all the family to enjoy. Was comfortably the best curry we’ve had for quite a while. Thank you!

Well my experience is pretty poor! Mussels served with brown bread instead of Focaccia! No IPA ale! A measly slice of carrot - a measly slice of parsnip. A 12% service charge (for what?) Won’t be bothering to go there again!

We both fancied mussels for supper so decided to try here. Upon walking in we were met with a delicious smell of Indian cuisine. When then we were seated next to a couple who were just finishing their curries so we decided to change tact and go Indian. Delicious. Lovely spice, gentle warmth, crisp onion bhaji, soft naan and we also had a small Indian spiced mussel dish which were excellent. I'm sorry not to get the name of the young lady who served us but she was an utter delight and a real credit to your business. Well done everyone!

Well what can I say. We don’t eat out a lot in Padsow even though we live there but we did a last minute booking at the mussel box. We were looking at Tapas but saw ‘Reggie’s Curries’ Intrigued by the descriptions we had one of each (there was 6). They were the best curries we’ve had in a very long time and we have had a few! The flavours were to die for. Expertly put together with very tasty sources. We were served by Nicole who was exceptional. Very professional and tentative. Well done mussel box. We will be back very soon.

I booked this venue being a Padstow resident and to showcase my local restaurants to my visiting family, who was celebrating her birthday. I was surprised that the menu was limited and asked if there was any grilled fish to be told there wasn’t. We had to wait a long time to be served even though there were only 4 other guests as well as us. We ordered and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and if the waiting staff has described the menu, it would have been more encouraging for our choices. We had to ask for wine refills and was not asked if food was ok. We ordered dessert and afterwards said we’d have coffee but the staff said the coffee machine had been switched off. It was only just about. 9pm. Table booked at 7.15. Sadly I didn’t feel that tips were earned but the birthday girl did leave a generous tip because she was embarrassed. I feel staff training is necessary here to encourage return visit.

6 of us booked in for the roast dinner on New Year’s Day and it was honestly the best roast dinner I have eaten away from home. All meats and veggies were delicious as were the desserts and wines. We will definitely return.

Booked a table very easily online. At time of booking I notified them I was allergic to dairy and intolerant to gluten. This wasn’t a problem. I still had plenty of options (which is unusual in many restaurants). I had the Ling fish curry with rice, popadom and onion bhaji which was delicious. My boyfriend had the mussels with chips and focaccia which he thoroughly enjoyed too. The restaurant is lovely in a good location and great for people watching. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We love it here. Dog friendly. Food extremely good served by friendly, helpful staff. Mussels are incredible, breakfasts great. We love the relaxed feel and visit every year.

Well you come here for the mussels right. Well they were outstanding. I had the curry sauce which was heavenly. My wife and daughter had the moules mariniere which was also excellent but they have had better tbh - the sauce was a bit thin for their likening but each to their own (we do eat a lot of mussels). But they were very fresh and very plump and large. Sooo good. Not 5 stars cos the deserts were a little off the mark - the chocolate brownie was more like a tort (we eat lots of brownies too….😁) and my cheese platter was a bit frugal and meh….the onion chutney was not particularly nice and was basically caramelised onions vs a chutney per se. But look, well worth it and would deffo go back cos it’s all about the mussels. Not impacting the score but sadly, we had a family behind us that had an individual who felt the need to share her stories with the entire restaurant that included her birthing experience for heaven’s sake. Shame. It spoiled a great evening.

Went for Sunday lunch. It was fantastic- on a par with our best Sunday lunch ever. I had melt in the mouth beef, my partner had pork. Each dish came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. A dish of carrots, parsnips, cauliflower cheese and broccoli to share - tasty and fresh. We had dessert too and a bottle of South African red. All this while watching the people walking past on Padstow Quay. Loved it!

I booked this place for Sunday lunch for our family of 5. We went through the booking process of paying a deposit etc for all those morons who book and don’t turn up. I had high expectations as the staff were absolutely great in welcoming us and a dog and took us to the table. So all in all really good, but I think one slice of meat is a bit stingy and gravy was a bit of small portion, I did ask for more and it was given. Thanks for looking after us.

Wir wählten dieses Restaurant aufgrund des Namens Musselbox mit der Vorstellung, hier werden uns in 1. Linie Muscheln angeboten. Doch dies war zunächst ein Irrtum. Man legte uns eine Karte vor, die absolut keine Muschelvariationen enthielten. Erst auf Nachfrage erhielten wir die Karte mit den Muschelangeboten. Ok, die Curryvariante lockte uns an und war auch lecker. Mit der Schärfe muss man umgehen können. 1 Punktabzug also dafür, dass wir zunächst etwas anderes als Muscheln anscheinend essen sollten. Einen weiteren Punktabzug gibt es für die Bedienung. Hektisch, schnell, unfreundlich kam unsere Servicekraft daher. Schade! Bevor wir hier essen gingen, hatten wir die Vorstellung ein weiteres Mal hier einzukehren, aber wir lassen es lieber. Leckere Muscheln gibt es auch woanders, wo es schöner und netter zugeht

We never order Sunday lunch out because we always say we could do a better job at home, but today we had the best Sunday lunch we've ever had!!!!
