Such a shame . Service poor , had to ask for cutlery , and the table to be wiped . Food greasy and tasteless wouldn’t go back .

We were looking forward to trying Reggie’s, the menu looked good but we were really disappointed. On arrival there were no staff to be seen, we waited a while and a lad came out, pointed us to a ‘table at the front’ none of the tables were clean and ready. The glass pod dining area looked a bit shabby and uncared for, a couple of chairs were broken, there used to be cushions that made the place look more inviting. We were then told to scan the QR code to order, we’d have liked to ask questions about the food but weren’t given the chance. We ordered drinks first, had to fill in name, address, payment details including what tip we’d like to give before even served anything. Then go through the whole rigmarole again when we ordered food, felt like me may as well have been in McDonalds. The curries we had were tasty but nothing special, certainly not worth the £18 & £16 we paid.Hoping these are just teething problems as Reggie’s is newly opened, such a shame.

Amateurish way to serve people, some people had their order taken and some had to order on an app which asks you to leave a tip before the food even arrives. Ordering on the app is ok except we would have loved an explanation as to what some of the dishes were. No proper service its a very average dinning experience, so sad. The food was ok at best not good value. Bring back Mussel Box.

We were very excited to have an Indian in Padstow but what a let down . This isn't a new operator just the guy who had the basement who has gone into liquidation owing a fair few local people money and has started up again with a new company - Reggies . The owner came out and was talking to some people who were clearly friends and he said "the only bit of kit I am waiting for is an Indian chef" and that was very evident. You order on an App and are asked to tip before you have even had any food or service. We spoke to waitress and said we presume poppadoms come out first - she said yes. they came out last. But the flavours were akin to a mediocre attempt at home to cook curry . The goan fish curry had a decent portion of fish but looked like it had been steamed and put into a bowl of very watery bland sauce. The naan bread was the worst I have ever had and was like a supermarket bought bread kept warm in the oven and dried up at the edges . All of the wines were £28 and we just had the merlot which was not great and expensive given the retail price . The waiting staff were pleasant We spend a lot of time in padstow and this was such a poor meal - sadly wont be back and still a big opportunity for a proper authentic Indian in Padstow . I have been to mumbai a number times and this falls way short of genuine street food I have tasted.

On a wet, quiet evening we received a warm welcome. The food was superb - we had bajis, poppadums, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Gosht and Goan Fish curry between us and each serving was delicious, with enough heat for all the family to enjoy. Was comfortably the best curry we’ve had for quite a while. Thank you!

Well my experience is pretty poor! Mussels served with brown bread instead of Focaccia! No IPA ale! A measly slice of carrot - a measly slice of parsnip. A 12% service charge (for what?) Won’t be bothering to go there again!

We both fancied mussels for supper so decided to try here. Upon walking in we were met with a delicious smell of Indian cuisine. When then we were seated next to a couple who were just finishing their curries so we decided to change tact and go Indian. Delicious. Lovely spice, gentle warmth, crisp onion bhaji, soft naan and we also had a small Indian spiced mussel dish which were excellent. I'm sorry not to get the name of the young lady who served us but she was an utter delight and a real credit to your business. Well done everyone!

Well what can I say. We don’t eat out a lot in Padsow even though we live there but we did a last minute booking at the mussel box. We were looking at Tapas but saw ‘Reggie’s Curries’ Intrigued by the descriptions we had one of each (there was 6). They were the best curries we’ve had in a very long time and we have had a few! The flavours were to die for. Expertly put together with very tasty sources. We were served by Nicole who was exceptional. Very professional and tentative. Well done mussel box. We will be back very soon.

I booked this venue being a Padstow resident and to showcase my local restaurants to my visiting family, who was celebrating her birthday. I was surprised that the menu was limited and asked if there was any grilled fish to be told there wasn’t. We had to wait a long time to be served even though there were only 4 other guests as well as us. We ordered and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and if the waiting staff has described the menu, it would have been more encouraging for our choices. We had to ask for wine refills and was not asked if food was ok. We ordered dessert and afterwards said we’d have coffee but the staff said the coffee machine had been switched off. It was only just about. 9pm. Table booked at 7.15. Sadly I didn’t feel that tips were earned but the birthday girl did leave a generous tip because she was embarrassed. I feel staff training is necessary here to encourage return visit.

6 of us booked in for the roast dinner on New Year’s Day and it was honestly the best roast dinner I have eaten away from home. All meats and veggies were delicious as were the desserts and wines. We will definitely return.

Booked a table very easily online. At time of booking I notified them I was allergic to dairy and intolerant to gluten. This wasn’t a problem. I still had plenty of options (which is unusual in many restaurants). I had the Ling fish curry with rice, popadom and onion bhaji which was delicious. My boyfriend had the mussels with chips and focaccia which he thoroughly enjoyed too. The restaurant is lovely in a good location and great for people watching. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Well you come here for the mussels right. Well they were outstanding. I had the curry sauce which was heavenly. My wife and daughter had the moules mariniere which was also excellent but they have had better tbh - the sauce was a bit thin for their likening but each to their own (we do eat a lot of mussels). But they were very fresh and very plump and large. Sooo good. Not 5 stars cos the deserts were a little off the mark - the chocolate brownie was more like a tort (we eat lots of brownies too….😁) and my cheese platter was a bit frugal and meh….the onion chutney was not particularly nice and was basically caramelised onions vs a chutney per se. But look, well worth it and would deffo go back cos it’s all about the mussels. Not impacting the score but sadly, we had a family behind us that had an individual who felt the need to share her stories with the entire restaurant that included her birthing experience for heaven’s sake. Shame. It spoiled a great evening.

Went for Sunday lunch. It was fantastic- on a par with our best Sunday lunch ever. I had melt in the mouth beef, my partner had pork. Each dish came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. A dish of carrots, parsnips, cauliflower cheese and broccoli to share - tasty and fresh. We had dessert too and a bottle of South African red. All this while watching the people walking past on Padstow Quay. Loved it!

I booked this place for Sunday lunch for our family of 5. We went through the booking process of paying a deposit etc for all those morons who book and don’t turn up. I had high expectations as the staff were absolutely great in welcoming us and a dog and took us to the table. So all in all really good, but I think one slice of meat is a bit stingy and gravy was a bit of small portion, I did ask for more and it was given. Thanks for looking after us.

Wir wählten dieses Restaurant aufgrund des Namens Musselbox mit der Vorstellung, hier werden uns in 1. Linie Muscheln angeboten. Doch dies war zunächst ein Irrtum. Man legte uns eine Karte vor, die absolut keine Muschelvariationen enthielten. Erst auf Nachfrage erhielten wir die Karte mit den Muschelangeboten. Ok, die Curryvariante lockte uns an und war auch lecker. Mit der Schärfe muss man umgehen können. 1 Punktabzug also dafür, dass wir zunächst etwas anderes als Muscheln anscheinend essen sollten. Einen weiteren Punktabzug gibt es für die Bedienung. Hektisch, schnell, unfreundlich kam unsere Servicekraft daher. Schade! Bevor wir hier essen gingen, hatten wir die Vorstellung ein weiteres Mal hier einzukehren, aber wir lassen es lieber. Leckere Muscheln gibt es auch woanders, wo es schöner und netter zugeht

An extremely friendly and relaxed place with stunning views of the harbour, and THE most delicious mussels. The best moules mariniere we’ve ever eaten anywhere. Also extremely dog friendly.

We never order Sunday lunch out because we always say we could do a better job at home, but today we had the best Sunday lunch we've ever had!!!!
