A lovely village pub with friendly staff. Attended the open mic afternoon one Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The session was well organised and welcoming for new acts.

Great night, friendly staff and chilled atmosphere

We had a delicious dinner here. The waitress was friendly and very attentive. The food was fantastic and it’s also dog friendly!

It's a pub. I didn't eat. So this is a pub review, not a food review. Immediately and obviously warm and friendly, an old fashioned pub, comfortable and cosy. A gin list a yard long. A rum list that is ludicrously twice as long - if you like rum, make a point of visiting. A pint for me. Well kept, local, well poured. Beautiful. Friendly bar person. Second pint, different, was equally as good. A lovely local. Worth diverting to. They clearly care, it is hugely characterful, and I will go again.

Fantastic meal, did a small portion for my mother. Great service, wonderful atmosphere, waitress was very pleasant. Will be going back again.

Very friendly, relaxed pub with so much to offer, regular social events planned, live music, bingo, quiz nights. Very community focused. Amazingly diverse range of rums and gins on offer, totally unique place. Oh, and dogs are welcome too. Love it!

Lovely pub, great selection of rum and Sea Fire on tap. Really good fresh pizza.

If this was my local I would be a very happy bunny. We visited twice in a week whilst on holiday. Food was good and reasonably priced. Ale was exceptionally kept and the rum list extensive. Most importantly the welcome. The place is quirky and warm and all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming.

Great traditional pub with top class staff

Being my last name (spelling variant) my hubs had to check this place out when we were in Cornwall. It was fun, lively, and friendly staff! Bought the shirt. :)

A nice, peaceful, friendly public house with 50 types of Gin's and and over 100 types of rum. The staff are friendly and the pub has a loyalty scheme which entitles you to cheaper drinks and 10% of your food bill. Tonight's meal and kraken rum cheese cake was awesome. Food 10/10, and the staff and service 11 out of 10. I've been away for 1 week and went straight to the Trev. It's funny how people know our dog's name but not ours. Yea, it funny but at least our dog is known as the pub dog. CHEERS. It is always enjoyable to go and have beer with great staff. The atmosphere is brill.

Living in the village we have eaten here many times. Always advisable to book as they limit the number of covers which insures good service and a better quality of food. I think we have tried most things on the menu and most recently the Sunday roast (£12.95 for a large plate full with lots of meat) and couldn't really fault any of it. Staff are really welcoming and make you feel at home.

Lovely friendly staff, great food and service

We ate here early for dinner on a Saturday night with our children back in March. We had the Irish Stew, Colcannon (Mash and cabbage and sausages) and child's macaroni cheese followed by sticky toffee pudding and Eton sundae. Everything was fine, but nothing special and the sticky toffee seemed like the microwave type.

Great service. Was given a table at the end of the service so was lucky to be fitted in. Lovely pub, friendly staff. Fodd was delicious.

Absolutely 💯. Sunday lunch today was roast lamb and 9 beautifully cooked vegetables, meat was tender, potatoes were fluffy and light, Yorkshire pudding to die for. Can't wait to sample homemade pudding at home as too full. Well worth a visit to thus quaint superb pub. 10 out of 10. Excellent.

Friendly bar service, nice selection of beers including a hazy ipa on tap. I couldn't order food as there was 50th party that was booked.

We visited on a Friday evening early September. I made a reservation and when we arrived our table was ready and waiting. The lovely young lady behind the bar was welcoming, friendly and extremely good at her job. A breath of fresh air and deserves high praise. We ordered drinks. We ordered food and sat back and relaxed. It wasn’t busy but we enjoyed the ambience and the jazzy music that was played at a nice level of volume. The pub is packed with real character. Our nacho portion was generous and tasty. My wife ordered the beef madras “special” and it was tasty and a substantial portion. Obviously homemade with some love and care. I had a ribeye medium rare. It wasn’t the best steak I’ve ever eaten, but it is the best steak I’ve eaten for £18. It was presented a fraction over medium rare and there was no sear of any kind of grill marks present. But it was tasty, tender and delicious. Well done all for a great evening. Great little pub in a lovely village. Nice.

The best Sunday lunch I have ever had. Our second day in Cornwall and we booked lunch here. It was so good my husband booked again this Sunday August 2023. You won't be dissapointed friendly staff are lovely to. Meat delicious veg cooked perfectly. Gravy just wow

This is a well run and very busy Pub. The food is well cooked and presented. We had a Sunday lunch and a dinner. The lunch had nine vegetables with beef, pork or lamb. The dinner was a pre-ordered seafood platter. Both meals were delicious. Best to pre-book a table as a number of people were not able to be served as they had not booked.

We booked ahead in October half term but we’re the only people eating when we were there between 6-8pm. Very friendly staff. Excellent food and big portions. We started with nachos and cheesy garlic bread, then had a burger, fish and chips, ham egg and chips, and a potato broccoli and cheese bake. Would highly recommend for a reasonably priced family dinner.

If you want a traditional English pub that serves tasty, no nonsense food, then get yourself down to the Trevelyan Arms. Walm welcome and felt really relaxed here. Can't wait to get back!

What a great evening on so many levels; an honest to goodness pub in so many ways that just happens to serve fantastic food to boot! My wife and two children (12 & 7) were looked after by Jess who made us feel welcome from the moment of our arrival and struck a perfect balance between checking our needs and allowing us to enjoy our meal at our own pace. We enjoyed the sharing platter to start (a fight almost broke out between my Son and I over the chicken wings, which were awesome, fortunately so was everything else on the plate so negotiations were conducted and a compromise agreed in short order.) I enjoyed the mega burger immensely, the quality of the ingredients was clear from the taste and it may sound a bit OTT but it really was cooked to perfection. Rest of the family enjoyed a mix of burgers (classic and piri piri chicken) and spaghetti from the children's menu (which I pinched a bit of and can confirm was also delicious!) Meal was washed down with a couple of pints of Trevelyan Amber Ale which pretty much rounded the meal off perfectly (would love to know if I can source some for home!) The only disappointment was we were so stuffed we didn't have room for pudding as I have no doubt it would have been excellent also. Safe to say when we return to Cornwall we'll be booking in for another meal or two 👍🏻😋🍻

Lovely meal, came in with my two children and wife. Burgers were extremely tasty and very big portions! Wife said it was the best fish and chips she’s ever had, Jess the waitress was very professional and helped with everything we needed. Thank you can’t wait to return next year

Have been to the Trevelyan several times in the past when staying in the area and have always enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere. Ate there three times this year and we were not disappointed. Good vegetarian options on the menu including a tasty broccoli bake and a veggie curry on the monday curry night. Excellent service from Jess and the rest of the team. Good to see some live music at the pub as well. See you next year!

Just called in here for dinner. It’s a traditional pub, lots of different gin and rum to try. Barman was really welcoming and did well at keeping everyone happy. We rang and booked a table and were accommodated when many other places were full or didn’t answer. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly too. We had to leave early as our 3 month old was a bit to far past his bedtime. The lady serving us boxed up the remainder of our meals for us without us even having to ask. I’d definitely recommend this little hidden gem is a pub!

Visited here during Easter afternoons. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to try the food - although we wanted to. But the chap behind the bar was really friendly. My husband enjoyed the choice of real ales and I was spoilt for choice with the aray of gins. Good seating area outside, so a definite return is on the cards - if only to try the food!
