Friendly mother and daughter team. Had lovely cream tea, excellent value. Later had bacon, sausage sandwich, great bread. Would have preferred bacon, sausage to be cooked more, but that’s personal preference prefer well done. Also sold hand selection of handmade jewellery, trinkets etc. bought lovely earrings and ring.

Just had the worst experience ever having lunch at Nins. The service was not that friendly and the food was tasteless, poor quality and pre heated. Advertised as freshly made which is so far from the truth. There are far better places to eat locally.

Just been for lunch, all changed since Covid, cant go in cafe now, NO toilet facilities, ( should be if serving food and drink). Paid £8.95 for a jacket potato and prawns, half a dozen prawns plonked on top of a potato, in a take away box (small) could've served on a paper plate, not even a bit of salad garnish, very overpriced.and very tasteless and boring .Used too be a regular here, not any more, very dissapointed, not friendly either, wont be going again and I don't recommend 😕

I’m at a loss as to How this place has got any good reviews . I would say this is the worst eating experience of my life . £8.95 for a disgusting jacket potato with coronation chicken that looked like dog food . My prawn bap made on a cheap white roll with margarine was disgusting . All served on paper plates and plastic cups . Do these people not have a sink . Seriously , British people must have very low standards if they are happy to eat here .

Despite current restrictions Nin's still manages a good choice of food and a selection of gifts and cards. Breakfast baps quite delicious - ham, egg and hash brown in a fresh soft bap - what's not to love? Good coffee too. Socially distanced serving also works really well, but here's hoping it won't be necessary next year!

There can’t be many tea rooms that are run from a semi detached bungalow! This place has to be seen and experienced to be believed, but don’t be surprised if you turn up and there’s no seats spare. We arrived just as it opened one morning and ordered from the breakfast menu. COVID wise we felt very safe and the tea rooms have put lots of measures in place to keep themselves and their customers safe.

The location is pleasant, and being able to sit outside on a sunny morning for breakfast is a bonus. But when your day starts with overcooked flavourless scrambled egg on tasteless thin supermarket toast and dry rock-hard bacon . . . you know the rest of the day is not going to go well. My wife just had two unexciting fried eggs on similarly disappointing toast (it couldn’t really have been butter, could it?). The mug of tea was decent and strong (you choose when to remove the bag) and the service friendly.

Went here last year- had a top notch breakfast with my mrs who is vegetarian, couldn’t have been happier. However this time the breakfast hit the table within 7 mins no surprise really as while we waited we heard the microwave going overtime! Everything on my plate was pre-cooked and heated up, smaller portions and no fried bread which I enjoyed so much last year. My partner had pancakes and syrup, at £5.50 , two mediocre pancakes and a drizzle of syrup was unacceptable- even though she was offered some squirty cream on top, if they had been busy I could have understood the rush to get food out- we were the only customers in the place. This place used to be quality, however I feel complacently has crept in. Add to that the adjoining overpriced gift shop, cmon nins you’re so much better than this. Will go back next year hopefully to find a return to the ‘old’ ways x

Found this place through tripadvise and really pleased we tracked it down. Food was excellent and the chocolate cream tea was fabulous. Staff were ultra friendly and helpful and were able to offer a gluten free cream tea. Dog was also very welcome.

The perfect place for a proper English breakfast. Very friendly staff and food cooked just as we had asked. We sat outside and really enjoyed our visit

We found ourselves in St.Merryn needing lunch and found this place. A little peculiar with the gift shop and array of jams, but the food was ok, rather expensive for the location (could have been summer inflation) but pleasant.

Popped in here for a cream tea, deliciously warm scones with jam and clotted cream, a real treat. Very reasonably priced. The staff were lovely, very friendly, would definitely recommend.

The ice creams here are beautiful! Really generous portions and are very well presented. The customer service we received was outstanding, my daughter had a massive meltdown (ASD) and they were nothing but supportive, understanding and helpful. We'd had a very tough day today with meltdowns galore and this one was by far the worst of the day yet I never felt alone or judged. People like you make the biggest difference and I am so very grateful for you going out of your way to help and care. Thank you x
