This place has bags of potential but after many changes of management and lack of investment is a shadow of what it could be. Staff training is hopeless - bar staff amateurish - scruffy garden I truly hope it pulls its socks up to be a real gem. I didn't dare order food so I'm not able to review that

The Methuen Arms in Corsham has long been a good place to visit. It is very old and has an historic past. There are a number of different dining rooms and, on arrival, we were warmly welcomed and led to a cosy and warm area which had a lovely atmosphere. There was a good choice of food with La Carte, 'Specials' menu and (smaller) 'two for £20' menu to choose from. Our meals were hot, well presented and extremely tasty. The staff were friendly and very helpful and we had a really enjoyable lunchtime out. What more could we ask for?

Firstly I rarely leave reviews, unless something is particularly good or bad. This is for the latter.... We went for a Sunday Carvery with friends. On arrival, the place looked lovely and was clean and we were greeted nicely. The Waiting staff were very nice, but the lady in charge/owner(?) was very scary, felt like a child at school being told off by the head mistress, as she barked for you to not to do this and that. Cold and rude. Not very welcoming at all! The food was underwhelming and served to you like you're at school also. The 3 roast potatoes and 3 roast parsnip pieces were undercooked and I couldn't cut one of them, let alone eat it. It made the knife bend!?! The Yorkshire puddings were soggy, the overcooked carrots were batoned so thinly, with black bits still on them, I'm pretty sure they were frozen carrots. The cauliflower cheese was nice but there was so little if it, that once it had gravy on top, it disappeared after one bite! For dessert I had pavalova, at £8.95. For this price I expected a nice chunk of home cooked, crunchy and chewy, pavlova but got 2 pre packed, individual 'supermarket style' meringues with some whipped cream and fruit. Incredibly underwhelmed by the whole meal. We won't be returning or recommending.

The most amazing pub with amazing food. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It’s the 2nd time in 2 weeks we have come here, despite living about 50 minutes away. Which just speaks for itself. The staff are so lovely and so welcoming. Our favourite pub by far, I can not wait for this new menu I that’s about to drop!

Just asked to order a slice of chocolate cake that had been removed from the display and placed on the counter. A friend of mine had just ordered and eaten a slice. When I asked if I could have a slice of it they told me, 'no it's still frozen', when quite clearly it wasn't. I would rather they told me the truth, maybe they were saving it for themselves? I chose not to say anything, since I don't love the idea of harassing minimum wage staff.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. We booked this for lunch with friends. It was really good. Great staff and food was excellent.i had the roast beef and it was one of the best. Toast potatoes were perfect and the beef thinly cut and rare. Staff were attentive and the pub had a nice atmosphere.

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had , it was absolutely amazing. Large portion with freshly roasted carrots and parsnips, cauliflower cheese, pigs in blanket and Yorkshire pudding. The staff are all friendly and helpful. We asked for some extra gravy and we were brought a whole jug which was perfect. So glad we came here and we will definitely be back next time we come to Beer!

We stayed overnight while visiting friends in Burnham-on-Sea, so the venue was chosen for its convenient location more than anything else. The room was large and the single beds reasonably comfortable. The room is not carpeted and heating is by way of a small wall mounted electric heater, so not the most cosy of rooms. The convenience of the location was also one of its downsides as the hotel is situated alongside a main road, so there was considerable road noise all night. The most disappointing feature in the room was the bathroom which desperately needs replacing and modernising. There was mould all around the bath which was disgusting and it is beyond me why it is considered acceptable to rent rooms in this state. I can not comment on the food and drink served here as the restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings and we did not have breakfast the following morning. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel.

We completed the treasure trail of Great Bedwyn today, which was great fun. Then went to the three tuns for lunch. We haven't been since pre covid, but it was just as good. Excellent service from a young man and lady and the food was spot on pub grub. We shared peanut satay chicken skewers which were really tasty. Then I had the beef pie mash and beans and Rick had same with chips and peas. The mash was delicious and so were the chips and the pies very good indeed. Exceptional value at £56. Will definitely be back sooner this time!
