Stopped off for a late lunch after having a wander around Stroud. Hubbie had a Lounge Flatbread and I had a Mexican Super Bowl. The food was fresh, flavourful and filling. Service was tbh ok but staff weren't that attentive or outwardly friendly. We were unfortunately put on a table quite close to the door and every time someone came in or out we were blasted with cold air. As it was quite busy despite being midweek we were unable to move. It was also at the beginning of December and the Christmas atmosphere was a bit lacking. We would give it another chance if in Stroud.

Honestly the most rancid food I’ve every had the misfortune of buying. Staff were incredibly rude and disrespectful. Whoever manages the place needs to have a word with their self. Avoid like the plague

Oh my, what an awful meal!! We sent both mains back as they arrived cold and were so over cooked the chicken and fish that was allegedly in the meals was non existent!

We visited last weekend 4 couples the ladies out wedding dress shopping a few miles away and the fellas having a beer when then finished they joined us .The whole atmosphere was great the food served promptly and all cooked spot on clean plates all round .Friends had travelled from Bristol and said how nice it was . We also went last night with some friends busy buzzing Saturday night and everything was replicated we had a great evening and the staff were spot on so friendly and up for some banter etc etc .It just ticks lots of boxes .Chris the manager has got a great crew working around him and that old cliche customer first is definitely applied at the Curio. I would like to name the staff who looked after us last night the tall fella who had previously worked in Scotland and the fair haired pony tailed waitress (my wife doesn’t like 🧀 cheese lol ) maybe name badges would help,identifying staff who deserve praise ? keep up the great service see you soon 👍

Been here before and it was OK, but today was completely different, server spilt milk over table and friends folder when she delivered the coffee outside, then went of to get a cloth, she came back and wiped the table and then walk off without even offering to wipe the folder off. Even though sat outside 6 inches from the public walkway, no barrier to separate I was told not to smoke at the table as they had the doors open, I did move all of 6 inches. What difference that made I dont know. So not a good day for them today

We ummed and arrrred between a 'Very good' and an 'Excellent' (we have a high threshold) - but in the end the Excellent won out! Popped in for a early breakfast. I think the thing about the Lounge chain is that everything is just so relaxed and easy going. It does what it says on the tin - and with no fuss or hassle. Early on a Saturday morning all we want is some calmness, no loud piped music, a decent cup of tea/coffee and some good food. Got all of that this morning. Staff were exceedingly friendly (even offering me another pot of tea as they were worried the water was not hot enough). Food great. I had the poached eggs and bacon (eggs wonderfully done). My daughter had pancakes. She is a bit of a pancake aficionado and knows her pancakes. See was very impressed. All reasonably priced as well (or I felt so). I am sure it can get very busy - but just about picking your time.

This place is a must if you visit Stroud. Staff are always friendly and efficient. You can order at the bar or at your table using their website. Drinks and food are plentifully, fresh and of a good quality. Prices are good. You can take your dog upstairs or down. All in all much better than the high street chains such as Costa and Starbucks

Second time visiting Curio Lounge and experience as good as the first. Food was again excellent, well cooked, interesting and tasty. Service was good and atmosphere great.

This is my 3rd time visiting Curio for drinks and food with family and friends and as ever, we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Food was fresh, service was excellent - as before. Two staff members really left an impression with our group this evening for their friendly nature and attentiveness; I believe the young ladies name is Lilly, and the talll chap I believe is Tom. They are a credit to the company. Keep up the good work both. We also had a good chat with chap called Chris, who I believe is the general manager. Such a personable chap with with really warming and welcoming nature - full of energy also. We look forward to our brunch on Saturday :) See you soon.

Popped in to Stroud today for an impromptu lunch with a friend. Had excellent service from a girl called Lilly. Although they were busy and there was a wait for food, it was lovely and Lilly was very attentive making sure we had drinks whilst waiting for our lunch. Will certainly come back again.

I visit today with my parents and sister, I had visited the night previous and the place was clearly understaff as upstairs wasn’t available for seating, which did leave me a bit cautious about today. We were made to feel warm and welcomed when we arrived, drink service was good considering staffing levels and food arrived in a timely manner and of excellent quality. We love coming to curio as a family on a Sunday for food and drinks and today felt no different from the warm family welcoming we get every time we visit. We appreciate staffing it’s low and it’s out of everyone’s control but the staff that we’re around were excellent and did their up most to meet our requests and provide an excellent service. I can’t wait to be back (ps the halloumi burger was delish). See you soon team curio, thanks for the great service and excellent food!

First visit for a few months now what a great Sunday afternoon making memories with family.Lovely food fresh piping hot and clean plates all round .I commented to the the chefs as we left how nice our food was and personally thanked them for there hard work .the staff were spot on and we fully appreciate that in the present climate regarding staff shortages etc you were all doing your best .Special little shout out to the young lady who first served us at the bar then later on served tables etc I think my daughter spoke to you and said how hard you were all working (Glasses pink baseball cap working loads of hours ) just to keep customers happy fair play too you 👍 .My other daughter also visited on the Saturday night and upstairs was closed due to staff shortages so we were prepared for any issues it’s a shame that some people cannot appreciate and compliment you on your hard work in difficult times .WE HAD A GREAT AFTERNOON 👍

Called in this morning for lunch time with my husband, mother and father in law, a grandparent, a small dog and my one year old son. The place was heaving with it being a Saturday so we asked for a table. There was no table. Who ever the guy was- presumably he calls himself a manager was so rude. We kept bobbing in while we were passing doing shopping to see if there was an available table. My husband noticed a table became available with 4 chairs and asked if we could sit there to which the “manager” said in a bitchy manner ‘you want to put 5 adults a dog and a pram around that table, I don’t think so’ and left my husband lost for words. The manager had some bee in his bonnet probably because the establishment was so busy. My husband came out to tell me what was said and to be honest he’s lucky I didn’t come in and give him a piece of my mind but I had a hungry baby to think of and needed to find somewhere to eat. My advise would be if you can’t handle working in the hospitality industry on a Saturday then find a new job, also gain some customer service and learn how to talk to customers. It’s a shame as we visit curios often and wanted to take in visiting family for some lunch, but we will not be returning. I’m honestly appalled. I’ll also be putting in a complaint.

Just had lunch in the Curio Lounge - Saturday. Great atmosphere and, as always, friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a very good lunch of tapas and side orders. It was well presented and all of it excellent. I could not recommend it more.

Visiting Cotswolds on holiday, we’d been walking nearby. Pleased to find Curio Lounge and we have Ludo Lounge near us in Southbourne. The staff were friendly, everything was in place re COVID safety, and we had three great meals and drinks. Would recommend.

Went with wife, daughter & 2 granddaughters for lunch. Went upstairs which is large and very comfortable. However, there were a number of children running wild. Parents just ignoring them. A bit frantic. Food was OK but the ordering was very slow. The credit card machine was down, so payment by cash only. Although there was a queue to order there was only one person taking orders, a second person helped when he could not find something else to do. Would come again and hope that the children will be better behaved and the credit card machine is working

I'm generally a fan of the Lounge venues - my partner is vegan,it's good for kids and the burgers & breakfasts etc are generally reliable. Was pleased when one opened in Stroud. Unfortunately this visit was poor and made for a disappointing birthday lunch.It took over an hour to serve a standard lunch order for five people. We asked after 45 minutes (hungry kids), to be told they're plating up. Took another 20 minutes so and from reading other reviews, this seems to be a standard line. When the food finally arrived, the coleslaw and garnishes were extremely tired, the servings seemed smaller than they used to and was generally underwhelming. My burger was tasty, but ironically a bit burnt.I'm sure we'll try the lounges in general again, but this experience will make us keener to try other options in future.

Usually really like this place, but today the service was terribly slow (half our party's food arrived in 45 minutes, while the rest only arrived after they'd finished - about an hour after ordering).As well as the slowness, I ordered the supergreen salad, which did not contain two of the main ingredients listed on the menu. Came away hungry.

Attended this establishment with some friends on New Year's day.There were 4 of us.The place did not look overly busy and there were many empty tables.We ordered some food.After quite some time maybe 45 minutes it still had not arrived.We were told by a server who may have been the manager that they were 'plating up' and it would be with us soon.About 10-15 mins later then food actually arrived.However they only brought 3 of the 4 meals.The waiter / manager made a comment about offering some drinks to make up for the delay.My friend without a meal immediately queried where his was?That waiter / manager disappeared and never returned.The aforementioned drinks never materialise.5 minutes or more later - still no 4th meal.My friend then complained to the kitchen staff about this.They were clearly just making it at this point.The 4th meal finally arrived well over an hour after ordering.Food OK but nothing special when it finally came.Service extremely slow. Poor customer service.

Had a lovely family meal here today. My only minor complaint was that the kids CV meals were quite expensive so it wasn’t a cheap meal out. But the food was soooooo good!!

Visité el salón de curiosidades el viernes por la tarde antes de una visita al cine para cenar y tomar una copa, el servicio era bueno y la comida también bastante buena, solo el lado negativo era el de 15+ menores de 18 años sin la guía de los padres que se extendía por todos los muebles y estaba ruidoso y desagradable, parece estar permitido regularmente en este establecimiento, dijo otro cliente, así que si está buscando un ambiente tranquilo y relajado, elegiría en otro lugar, lástima porque el área de arriba es muy abierta y espaciosa y podría ser un lugar muy vibrante, mientras En el cine esperando entradas estábamos hablando con otra pareja y cuando mencionamos la sala de curiosidades dijeron que no volverían a ir por las mismas razones.

Buena comida y servicio. Cadena de restaurantes altamente recomendada con una calidad constante. Curio provides an excellent vegan breakfast. Freshly cooked,substantial and very tasty. Staff were friendly and the service was great. Comfortable seating and decor.

Brilliant selection of food for adults and kids, much bigger than we thought inside with a lovely atmosphere. Service was prompt and polite. Only slight drawback is it is perhaps a little bit expensive for what you get but we would def. eat here again

I don't visit Stroud that often but when I do I always pop in here for a drink. Did so today and was not disappointed. The barman is so friendly and I like the decor and the quirkiness.

Only pop in from time for a coffee but the staff are always welcoming and friendly and the coffee it good. Great location in the middle of town. You can even take your dog inside as long as you stay downstairs. Highly recommended

Great Bar with lots of charm we normally go upstairs to have a meal and a drink. Great breakfast and lovely coffee.

Came for a breakfast with 3 friends. We all ordered together. 2 lounge breakfasts and a bacon roll. One breakfast came out after 30mins and the others we had to wait at least another 15 mins before prompting them. Also had to wait 20 mins for a coffee to arrive. Piss poor service. Get your act together.

I love going to Curio Lounge and we weren’t disappointed today! We were a huge group of adults and teenagers, a mixture of meat eaters, vegetarian and vegans and food allergies thrown into the mix. Although we didn’t need it was lovely to see a separate menu for Gluten free! Not many places can seat such a large group but plenty of space upstairs! Food was delicious as always and staff very efficient and friendly. Highly recommend! If you’ve not visited before find a seat first and remember your table number -you can’t order without that information!

Now I know how the place works with the table system I can say that we had a really good time there recently.

Went for tapas on a Tapas Tuesday. Portions are small but at £10.50 with a glass of wine, it is very good value. Food was very good but I could have eaten twice the amount! The evening was spoilt by the upstairs area hosting a group of young people with instruments, singing and playing quite loudly. The music downstairs was playing at the same time which made it difficult to talk above two different types of music being played together. Either host a music night or a tapas evening.

It’s great to see somewhere that has a menu dedicated to vegan and gluten free options.

Went here with my sister for a catch up! Good place for a chat as you can find a quiet place. Good service, nice food that was not too expensive. We had the lounge burger... fresh beef, tasty and clean food. Homemade coleslaw was nice touch. Would go again!

Mi compañero y yo visitamos en una especie de noche de micrófono abierto y estaba muy ocupado. Tuvimos que esperar 15 minutos en una cola en el bar para pedir nuestra comida y cuando llegó fue decepcionante. Hemos visitado varios de los restaurantes Lounge y el servicio siempre ha sido realmente bueno y también la calidad de la comida. Desafortunadamente, no tenían suficiente personal y claramente no podían hacer frente a la cantidad de clientes. Lamentablemente la comida también sufrió. Tuve el pastel de salmón pescado con huevo escalfado y salsa holandesa. El huevo estaba duro y había tan poca salsa que no pude probar. No vamos a ir a este restaurante de nuevo.

Quedé gratamente sorprendido con la decoración y el ambiente de este lugar, ya que desde el exterior parece poco atractivo (andamios y un aspecto oscuro). Por dentro era preciosa, con una decoración retro muy inspirada. . . Me encantó la "dama verde" y recomendaría una visita solo para ver esta colección. This was our first visit to this lounge. Sat upstairs.which is huge. Lots of seating and tables. We thought it was generally rather dark especially the lighting and decor in the ladies toilets.

Had an excellent time here staff were helpful and food was good speedy service fairly price I would recommend and I would return

Every time I’m in Curio I see Ruby at the bar. She’s always full of energy! Smiling and laughing and loves to have a joke with myself and my family, even when passing on the street she’ll wave and smile.

Love the Curio lounge have been here for breakfasts, coffee and lunch many times over the past few years. Lots of room upstairs and nice sofa comfy space downstairs. Love the smashed avocado

Popped in for brunch today. Ordered child’s portion of meatballs & pasta for my 4 year old daughter.

I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to the new nick of curio lounge he has got to know me and my needs completely and doesn’t judge me, does what i ask and more goes above and beyond and I couldn’t be more grateful, the staff at curio are absolutely ace, not to mention Alex, ruby, Andrea and all of them really, they make me feel so at ease and comfortable and I appreciate all their kindness and support and will always come back, 5/7 a week.. can’t be that bad now can it:) so thank you all for making every trip a pleasant one.

I’ve been coming to curio for years and haven’t seen anything like this yet! I’ve been served by the young red haired girl behind the bar countless of times and she’s always extremely friendly and bubbly with me and my partner, she even knows our usual drink orders! I’ve never had an unpleasant experience.

When in town I always pop in to Curio Lounge. The menu is interesting and include Vegan. Usually a very pleasant experience and I would not hesitate to recommend.

Friendly accommodating staff - happy to oblige with fussy coffee drinkers and even helped entertain our kids.... great chilled place and cracking coffee.

Popped in early on a Saturday, had a very nice meal. Place wasn't too busy so we didn't book. Expensive drinks, but food reasonably priced and very nice. The decor is very cosy with sofas downstairs and dining upstairs.

I popped into the curio lounge for a coffee and I wasn't disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly and the coffee was excellent. I didn't eat but I saw the food that was being dished up for other people and it looked very good. I will definitely go back again

After forgetting half our order and then after chasing, small tasteless milkshakes arrived. Complained and claimed "that is what the kitchen gave me" two better sized ones arrived. Not quite as tasteless but still bland. When enquired, seemed they were just milk and powered flavouring, NO ice cream. They were expensive as well. Don't bother, I hate to say it, McDonald's much better.

Visite este establecimiento para ponerse al día con amigos durante el desayuno, el servicio fue muy bueno y el personal fue amable y no muy atento. La comida estaba caliente y llegó muy rápido, todo el desayuno era delicioso. Me impresionó que pudieras crear el tuyo en lugar de tener que quitar elementos de las opciones de desayuno disponibles. El único inconveniente era que mi café estaba bastante frío cuando llegó. Aparte de eso, una buena experiencia y recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar para comida.

Have to say I've never written a review before but after a great night with excellent food, I had to mention how accommodating the staff were. It's amazing how the people that work in a place can make everyone enjoy themselves.

Had a family lunch here. Some staff hadn't turned up - so,those working were rushed off their feet. Many apologies and a free drink.

Went here last week (November 2018) Staff are lovely and very helpful. Dog & small child friendly - food just needs a bit of an upgrade. The avocado was hard, I know avocado is a tricky fruit but as you open it you know whether its good or not. Chips were good, just needs a bit more attention to detail & it would be fabulous
