Great new venture, that has been open about 4 months. I was served by the welcoming Izzie, and had two lovely black coffees and a flapjack. It's early days for the business, so just a small selection of cake at the moment. Plenty of parking, seating inside and out, and dog friendly. WiFi is available, too. As the business grows, it is listening to what customers want, and bacon sandwiches are on the 'to do' list. Cash only at the moment, so take some change. Well done, Izzie! Chris.

Visited the Swindon Hub cafe for a craft day. Safe, friendly and helpful new café in Swindon. Local crafts and info point. NIce new place in Swindon to escape, on the Parade.

Great food and drink. One complaint is that they ran out of caffeine free coke early in the evening.

We have walked near-to, and past, this village pub many times over the last year, and we have always promised ourselves a visit. Our expectations were that the pub would not entirely suit us. To explain: we are wine drinkers, we “don’t do” beer or cider, or spirits. We do, however, enjoy good wine, not necessarily fine wine, just dry and white with, at least, a medium complexity and subtle fruitiness. We felt that this pub would be unlikely to offer such wine. There are other drinks that we enjoy, particularly when out walking; soft drinks like lime and soda, sometimes a coffee, occasionally just mineral water. Despite expectations (and maybe some reservations) we decided we would visit and see for ourselves, and we did this at about 19:15 on a Bank Holiday Monday in late May. The bar was exactly what our mind’s eye had promised. It was clean and tidy and the landlady was very helpful and pleasant. The clientele was mostly local folk and dog-walkers (again as expected). I asked if wine was available, and indeed it was, but it was the kind of wine that is kept, if for nothing else, the occasional wine-drinker who has no particular taste for wine. Don’t get me wrong, most of the wine we buy is from supermarkets at £5-10 a bottle category. We very occasionally splash out a bit more (up to £16 a bottle), and we do go to France and bring back wine (most of what we buy is €4-12 a bottle). The wine offered here is Blossom Hill brand, and I have to admit that I have never drunk it before … well I have now! I had a glass of the white, which was not distasteful, it was inoffensive, it was light, it was cold, but there was little depth to the flavour and no complexity, being (at best) “very ordinary”. This is not a moan, it was entirely expected, and given their clientele preferences, there is no reason in the world for the pub to stock anything more elaborate or refined. The wine was cheap and we had to order a large glass plus two (half pints) of soda and lime in which to spend the minimum of £5 for card payments (we had no cash on us). We were kindly advised that the pub was due to close at 20:00, but we had previously noticed that there was a garden and so we ventured out to explore. We couldn’t stay long because of the impending closing time. Also the garden at the back of the pub was in full shade, and it really wasn’t a warm enough evening to sit out. Apparently the garden is best at lunchtime and during the afternoon. If this review offends then I’m sorry, but it is the truth. We would like to call here on occasions when it is sunny to enjoy a soda and lime, or a coffee, whilst sat in the garden in the sunshine.

Handy if you're staying nearby. Straightforward pub food that tastes of food! Portions not small, by any means, and prices fair.

We came here for dinner and drinks. The service was good however we found the food to be average / especially considering the price. My fish pie was £27 and our total bill was £175 for 2 people including wine!

Treated myself as feeling hungry and tired after what felt like a long day at work. Couldnt be bothered to cook & had heard good things about the Bath Arms but havent been in for years. I have to say, the Bath Arms was faultless.. Super quick service with a friendly smile from everyone working there. It was busy but it's runs like clockwork! Fantastic choice for a set menu, very fairly priced & delicious. I was blown away by the whole experience. Highly recommended & a nice surprise to have such great food virtually on my doorstep

This is one of my favourite places for a drink or food. Atmosphere is superb, setting superb, staff excellent and special mention to Chelsea and Eva who are a credit to the place. Can not speak highly enough. John Newman

Have always enjoyed the quality of the food from here and have been visiting in person and ordering online for many years without concern. Used to be all home made with fresh ingredients. Judging by the falling Trip Advisor score I now understand why my lunch today was so terrible. Low quality ingredients, prepacked, processed. My baguette today was of a lower quality than what you'd expect to find in a service station and they charged me around £7 (this isn't even an exaggeration). Bread was stale. Online menu halved in size. Was completely shocked today by how far this business has fallen. Have most likely spent thousands with them over the years but today will be the last time they get any of my hard earned cash! Disappointed.

My wife had a medical incident today at Maidencome beach and as we couldn't get a phone signal, we went into the pub to ask for help and if we could use their phone. James couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and he did everything he could to help. We haven't eaten or drank here yet, but we will. The menu looks delicious and the place is beautiful. Thanks so much for your help James.....it was so appreciated.

It was my partner's birthday today and we were staying at Sandy Glade holiday park. There were seven of us all together, so I decided to book ahead of time. On arrival the pub car park was quite full, but inside didn't seem too bed. The staff were very attentive and friendly and we were led to our table straight away. There was a good variety of food choices, but not too many, so you couldn't decide! After ordering there wasn't a long wait for food, but it was definitely worth the wait. It was all fresh, piping hot and tasted delicious. The overall experience and atmosphere was fantastic. It was a lovely birthday meal and anyone in the area should definitely try it out. There were seven of us and the total bill (including non alcoholic drinks) was £116.50, which I thought was reasonable, certainly for very good food. My thanks go out to all the staff at The Red Cow.
