Great beach side coffee kiosk with plenty of picnic tables and deck chairs. Wonderful coffee and hot chocolate. A great range of milk alternatives, vegan ice cream and vegan cake available. Also plenty of umbrellas to keep the seagulls at bay. We came many times during our holiday. Also because of the concrete path accessible by wheelchair and pushchair.

A really enjoyable evening in an eclectic mix of people. Jon and Jo made us feel welcome in their home, delicious food accompanied by delightful singing! We were greeted by cocktails then moved on to a three course meal with additional treats. A donation was made to a very worthy local charity fir homeless people. A misy relaxing way to start the bank holiday weekend. Thank you both very much!

Great selection of craft beers. Loved the atmosphere and the music. All the staff were friendly and informative. Make the visit!

Popped in here for the first time in a few years and it is now run by two lovely ladies . Reduced menu at the min due to cooker / fryer problems but still a nice choice . Hubby had beans on toast and i had a gammon ham sandwich . Nice hot beans and 3 rounds of toast for him and my sandwich had really thick gammon ,nice thick fresh bread and bread actually buttered !!! And really good value These ladies have just taken over and we will be back . Wish them well for the future

After a busy day at work I needed a good dinner so remembering my last visit I made a bee-line to Thieves. I had a Cheese & Bacon Burger (beef patty with beechwood-smoked streaky bacon, Barber's 1833 Vintage Cheddar, coleslaw and lettuce, served in a seeded bun) totally delicious. Although the patty was a small, thin thing it had plenty of flavour and it didn’t seem too thin like in other places I’ve been to. It tasted great with the cheese and coleslaw, and good bacon. I didn’t know about the ‘£14 burger and a beer’ offer when I came in, and the beer I ordered originally wasn’t in that offer, but the very friendly and helpful barman informed me and suggested a beer that was in the offer, I took his recommendation and have no regrets about it! Good customer service there Thieves, wish I knew his name to give a shout-out here

Sunday morning breakfast. The service was great, a nice warm welcome and responsive. The orders came promptly and the waiter was friendly. The only downside was that the coffee had a bitter aftertaste, but the food was lovely. nicely cooked.

I have visited this cafe once before and the Break was in all honesty ok. However all my good will to them has diminished somewhat. Myself and a friend have tried a couple of times to pop in for breakfast at 10 am when ( as it says on the door it’s open) both times it was closed up and didn’t look like it was about to open . The first time we waited for 15 minutes and it was still closed. The second time the same . Not a good way to run a business by not sticking to your business hours. My friend and I won’t try a third time we’ve gone elsewhere.Shame.

To Indigo for lunch with my aunty. What great decor, all the colours are friends together. It’s a lovely, classy and elegant room. Added to this was the warm welcome we were given by Simon, the hotelier, who is a charming gentleman. A further warm welcome was given by Violet, the restaurant manager, which was very nice. So to start. Asparagus panna cotta joined by wild salmon cured with beetroot was ordered. Both were superb. Our main dishes were Lebanese chicken on skewers, beef bourguignon. I saw another table was having the Lebanese chicken, too. I can certainly imagine it being a popular choice. The presentation is thoughtfully done and the taste is just exquisite. My aunty said her bourguignon was delicious. Having dessert was never out of the question. Two orange & rhubarb possets with homemade shortcake were thoroughly enjoyed. To bring about the close of our meal, coffees were brought over. Thoughts? We had a wonderful time! We think the chefs are absolutely fantastic there. The waiting staff are so helpful and so nice and were attentive to a T. A couple of times I chatted with Anna, who is also very funny, and deserving of a waitress of the year award, I think. A huge thank you to all at Indigo!

Unfortunately the the two functions took priority today, as we waited over an hour for basic, mediocre food. Couldn’t cut the roast beef, needed a steak knife! The bill still included service charge! Not good. No warning when we arrived that there was a delay in the kitchen. 3 different excuses given for this. What a shame!
