Amazing cafe under new management. Lovely couple have that cafe about 7 months ago. Best breakfast in the town. Highly recommended Mediterranean Breakfast.

Breakfast and homemade breads were very nice. The breakfast is definitely a must try.

Lovely place, lovely staff. We came in this morning for a take away bacon sandwich with sourdough bread. She had a Greek salad. Very impressed and they even went as far as to give us metal cutlery due to shortage of wooden/plastic forks. We will be back for the actual breakfasts

Lovely seat facing greenery, just having had a holiday to Athens I fancied the Mediterranean breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely delicious and incredibly filling.

First time at Moes, with my wife for coffee and a cake (time 1:45 pm) There was an offer on - coffee & cake for £5.50, which seemed good value. I chose a slice of lemon cheesecake and Jane a fruity spongy cake. The coffee was excellent, as were both the cakes. I mentioned to Lucia (who served us) that the coffee could have been a little hotter for me and she explained that they can do a hotter version, no problem. She added that all their cakes are home-made. The ambience is relaxed, it is a clean and quite modern coffee bar, with a few vertical coloured fluorescent tubes behind perforated metal screens and the best bit - comfy padded little chairs. Lucia was very helpful and friendly I will definitely go back, next time I'm in Worthing. I have my eye on one of their vegan sausage rolls! Highly recommended.

Went to Moes today with my mum and wasn't impressed. The coffee machine was broken and they couldn't even do a cup of tea because they didn't have a kettle for backup. This may have been a bad day, however, what struck me the most was the disinterest (and outright rudeness) of the staff. The table next to us had ordered a cup of black coffee (which, due to the machine being broken, they could not have) and were brought an espresso instead. After being told, quite directly, that they were wrong by a member of staff, they got up and left. We would have done the same had it not been the case that we'd been made to pay before our food was given to us. The mozzarella toastie was bland, and the sausage bagel my mum ordered burnt and dry. She queried why there was no sauce, as set out on the menu and the response, quite aggressively, was "well you've eaten it now, so." That would have been a fair comment had we asked for our money back, but we had not and were only informing the young lady who worked there that our food was below par. Begrudgingly, she offered a free drink, which we accepted. However, upon her return, she put it on the table seemingly in a strop and walked off, without an apology. All in all, far below average food and poor service. We were made to feel very unwelcome, and perhaps the staff ought to spend less time wandering around on their phones and more time attending to their customers. Please note, we only rated this two stars because of the complimentary drink; otherwise it would have been one star.

Love this place, great coffee, pleasant staff, but way too many smoking tables outside. Please at least have two tables nearest windows as non smoking.

Disappointed with the experience today. Arrived, ordered two coffees and two sandwiches and sat down at a table. Coffees were brought promptly however after almost 40 minutes of waiting there was no sign of our sandwiches. While they had other customers, they were not particularly busy and when we saw other food leaving the kitchen we suspected we had been forgotten, rather than in a long queue of orders. When we spoke to the staff they admitted that our order had been forgotten. While apologetic there was no offer of compensation, due to the length of the wait an offer to refund the cost of our coffees would have gone a long way.

Phenomenal food. Well worth a visit.

Forever my local coffee shop, pre-Mo’s it was a smallbatch, but they retained the good staff…. Excellent service from Paul in particular, but the other girls are exceptional. Coffee is always good, the chats are fulfilling and uplifting. Before you spend your money in a chain, go and see Mo.

Always love going here, food and drinks are delicious, good range of items. Can sit indoors or outside. In a prime location.

Poor service. Waited over 20 mins for our drinks. Had to ask in the end, and the order was wrong. Only asked for 2 cans of pop! Good location and great for watching the world go by.

Really just awful. I took one bite of my pastrami sandwich and left the rest. I did wonder if anyone had ever eaten a pastrami sandwich before who worked there. Just made by a careless and lazy cook (you couldn't even call them a chef). I will never go back

Very friendly, honest people, most definitely recommended.

Have been a regular for some time and staff like Paul made Moe's a great place for loyal year round customers. There's been a change of ownership and the service on Monday was woeful. I'm patient and understand that staff have to be trained and learn. But 40 minutes to make a cup of coffee?? With no real apology, sullen disinterested and unpleasant staff who were borderline aggressive when given feedback. Won't be going back there again.

Disappointing options for Vegans and Vegetarians.

When the weather's nice, it's great to be able to sit outside and enjoy it on the recently pedestrianised Portland road high street. If not, it's just as nice to sit inside and enjoy a lovely coffee in the newly decorated interior.

Nice coffee, nice clean cafe. Is a bit on the pricey side compared to other cafes but it didn't put me off having a coffee and a light snack in there

I have been popping into Moes after parkrun. In a nutshell, Moes is a breath of fresh air for an ailing worthing with a wonderful, friendly welcome and lovely friendly service. Perfect breakfast menu in a relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff delivering excellent food in a timely manner at a more than reasonable price 👍.

Just been to Moes in Portland Rd Worthing. Had awful service. Ordered our usual almond croissant and sausage roll both warmed up please, 1 flat white, 1 americano. Coffees arrived, at best luke warm. Then sausage roll arrived. An attempt had been made to warm it up but stone cold inside. A plain croissant arrived cold. We took it back and said we’d ordered an almond croissant warmed up. No apology just took it and arrived back with same plain croissant warmed up. We asked if it was almond she said you didn’t order almond. We had twice, in fact. She stormed off and another sulky girl bought it back, banged it down on the table and walked off. It looked like an almond croissant. It was cold and when I cut it, it was chocolate. I gave up. In the scale of things i know it seems petty but for me and my husband it’s a 2 weekly treat. Needless to say we won’t go there again. .

Came here by chance for lunch and enjoyed a lovely toasted sandwich with peppers and chorizo. Really tasty sandwich and coffee. Service was polite and price was right for what I expected

Customers appear to be an inconvenience. I've been here a fair few times but yesterday was my last. Service is woeful and coffee warm at best. Customers seem to get in the way of their conversation at the counter. It's a shame I won't be going back as it's got quite a nice vibe. But the dreadful service and customer attitude outweighs this.

Easily the best coffee in town. This is where I get mine - on a regular basis. Staff are brilliant - so professional, smart, funny and welcoming. Best team I've ever seen in action here in Sussex. The coffee is superb and the food is beautifully made. Great menu with thoughtful, clever ingredients. Exceptional place.

such a cozy cafe with a nice selection of food and good coffee too! the server was very friendly and welcoming and was nice and clean inside too! they have some outdoor seating if you like, but there is a lot of seating indoors too which is good;)

Whenever I have been in Moes the staff have been very professional. They're friendly, helpful and eager to please. The food and drinks are of good quality. I would recommend this coffee bar.

What a find, so happy we popped in from the rain- the coffee was so amazing (vegan oat milk latte) and we tried some sourdough toasties. the food is adventurous but good quality (we wont be trying peanut butter and vegan cheese again!) - the fries were only £4 and a very good portion size. I already plan on coming back - hoping for a new vegan special next time, but there are 4-5 options. Service and atmosphere, top notch- lovely load of staff- attentive and skilled baristas! I will say it was very dark and has a hipster vibe- i loved it, but might not be what some people were after- there was an elderly mum and daughter enjoying croissants. Some seating outside (when not raining, maybe 3 under cover too) which is dog friendly.

I threw my partner a surprise 40th Birthday Party at Moes and I cannot tell you how impressed I was. Steve and the team are professional, helpful and amenable - they made the party planning process so much easier. The venue is perfect, I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you Steve!

We only had coffees cappucinos hot chocolates and one beer. The Service was horrible . We had to wait 28 min after the order. Everything was cold. The beer was rubbish. The shop was not busy at all. The staff is not friendly . Very cold atmosphere. I don’t recommend it.

Lovely tables outside , amazing drinks

I usually come for coffee with a friend most Tuesdays and we are always so looked after and greeted with a smile. Today especially, I asked for a matcha latte which isn’t usually on the menu and noticed that although one of the baristas was on his break he got up to make it for me. I thought that was very selfless and kind. Once I realised it wasn’t iced, I was very happy to have a glass of ice and wait for it to cool but they made another. Very sweet and generous. I didn’t have any change to tip so hopefully this will do! Thanks as always :)

Quite simply the best coffee I have ever had. The staff were very attentive, helpful and it was getting busy when I left. Hopefully go back for some food as it looked and smelt delicious.

Great coffee, good food and very attentive staff. We have been to Moes 3 or 4 times now and its an excellent place to go. The staff are polite, friendly and efficient and always smiling. The coffee is lovely and the food hot and fresh. Its nice to get a cappuccino with dark chocolate sprinkles which is hard to come by. Would recommend this place to anyone who asks where to get a good coffee or lunch.

I go here for breakfast sometimes. Food great and service excellent. In summer you can sit outside, in the refurbished pedestrian area.

We popped into Moe's for lunch the other day and were extremely impressed. The big breakfast was absolutely delicious with good quality sausages, wonderfully sweet roast tomatoes and delicious beans. It was also great value at £12 for two eggs, two bacon, two sausages, two hash-browns, toast, roasted cherry tomatoes and the home-made beans and I was completely stuffed at the end. The steak and eggs were great with the steak cooked perfectly medium-rare. The service was prompt and the coffees great. There wasn't much of an atmosphere, I guess, but it was a late mid-week lunch and the place was a bit empty. We will definitely go back.

Just found this little place on the off chance. Husband and I never go anywhere together and found this little gem! Being a manager in hospitality, I’m very critical… but this place blew me away. The service was friendly and not “too much”.. the coffee is the best I’ve ever tasted! And the breakfast was out of this world! I ordered chips as I thought I’d still be hungry and didn’t need to eat them. Their manager should be proud of their staff!! They all did an amazing job making sure it’s all clean and tidy and none of them were just stood there chatting. Excellent place!! Highly recommend and I will be back! Xx

We struggle we find somewhere to suit everyone's taste and standards. We'll not on this occasion . From the minute we checked Moes out it met everything we wanted. Good menu, excellent staff very welcoming. The standard's of cleanness where amazing.Then the food arrived , it was well presented , hot and very tasty 😋 Well done to everyone at Moes definitely a place we will be returning too.

Walked past this a million times, but finally decided to try it out today as the sun was out which meant there was seating outside. Best decision we made all day! I wouldn't usually spend that much on lunch, but I can say the food and drinks are definitely value for money! Food was absolutely delicious and well presented. The staff were very busy but remained absolutely lovely, and it was an altogether great experience!

Popped in for a coffee and sandwich today! Was my first time visiting. The staff to start with were all very friendly and kind! Made you feel comfortable straight away! The coffee was very nice and smooth, I had a cappuccino. I also had a ham and cheese toastie which was very nice, and a great size! Overall a great visit and will definitely be going back soon!

Quite the vilest espresso macchiato I have had in my life. Had to leave it. I can't see the point of running a coffee bar unless you believe in serving good coffee 🙁

Nice coffee. Space for about 8 people to sit outside. Only disposable cups at the moment, but there is a bin just inside for recycling both the unwashed cups and their lids.

It is always a pleasure to visit Small Batch Coffee. There is a really calm and relaxing atmosphere inside, helped by the very friendly staff! The food and drink is always of great quality! I would strongly recommend!

So disappointed always used to be amazing here but last couple of times service really slow. Saturday 3 staff were getting orders wrong and painfully slow even though it was really quiet. When we finally got our coffee it was barely warm, will go elsewhere in future.

As every review on here says, they do nice coffee. The problem is it is brought out to dirty tables. During a 30 minute stay not one member of the 5 behind the counter cleared anything from the tables. When directly asked a table was cleared begrudgingly but not wiped. Food meh.
