Poppins Restaurant in Worthing

I've just moved to Worthing from Hove and was missing my weekly treat of bacon and sausage sandwich. "Popped " into Poppins lovely cafe great food and really nice people. Have definitely found my go to Sandwich place!

Lovely High Street cafe, good honest food at a very reasonable price point. Service was friendly. Will return.

Nice clean friendly cafe, only had toasties but very tasty with plenty of filling, milkshakes also nice.

Visited today with my Family and we were made to feel very welcome. Great choice of food and very reasonable. Our meals were all cooked to order, pipping hot and delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Looking along for a cafe breakfast, lots of seating available inside only. A wide selection of meals, and all day breakfast menu on the walls. Food was ordered and served in a good manor and the bacon was thick! (Brownie points). Would recommend for a good bite to eat.

Nice friendly place to eat reasonable prices and good portion sizes. Very clean and lovely custom service.

Scrambled eggs were very over cooked, Service a bit too slow. Simple no frills... which is a good thing.

Ordered a mega breakfast thinking going to be decent size was tiny fatty bacon and everything was cold. Won't be returning

This is an underrated cafe. The food is very good. Not flashy , not fashionable but if you are of a certain age , ie. nearly retired then the food will appeal to you. A good set priced breakfast with toast and fried slice and coffee for under £10. There is always a diverse range of customers too , which gives it a real family feel . All sorts eat there. Good hot food , good coffee and great service. I've even changed from my usual . I went to a rival Cafe but came back as itvis such good value . I jad a diffetent set breakfast fir just £7 , paid extra fir the Coffee , so i spent the same amount as inused to , buy ate less . So a ' win win ' situation. Good for my waist line and good fir their cash register . You will always get a great welcome here , from staff ams customers .

Good honest family cafe serving a great variety of good value dishes. Staff were brilliant, food was lovely, fresh and tasty. Prices were good too. Also cafe looks small from the street but the interior is tardis like!

First found Poppins in Stevenage have enjoyed them ever since and this one was no exception

Great little cafe on Worthing High Street.! Staff are welcoming , friendly & helpful. Food is great, jacket potatoes with cheese, salad etc, & they do an amazing full English, really good prices! Highly recommended. (2 mins from the Travelodge)

Polite staff, lovely food , good service.

Sorry, but I was appalled at the service. After waiting a l9ng time, I twice had to ask the waitress to take our order. She was consistently staring at her phone the entire time we were there. Also, I had the vegetarian breakfast. It was horrible. Very cheap ingredients.

Great little old-school traditional cafe. Lots of seating. Good menu selection. All day full-English breakfast. Nice coffee. Friendly and efficient staff.

Stumbled across this gem yesterday. Food isn’t fancy - traditional English, cooked well with lots of options at a fair price. Cafe is absolutely spotless from the skirting around the tables to the cutlery and loos. Service was fab - my Mum is in menopause and they were extremely tolerant of turning the air con on and off at our request! 🤦‍♀️ Food came out quickly was hot and was exactly as we asked - adding and removing items to suit our tastes! It was a very enjoyable and surprising experience. We will return!

Always friendly service from Fabio, Sky and Ash. The food is basic but we'll cooked and presented without fuss. Nothing is too much trouble. They got a 4 for food because this time I asked for crispy bacon on my blt and it just wasn't crispy. Otherwise it was lovely

The food quality wasn't as good as usual. The chips had no flavour and too many sharp bits. The sausage was not nice and the egg was overcooked. Trying another cafe next week. I've been going there for 10 years.

Great food but bad service. One lady started hovering near our feet when we were still eating. The waiter seemed annoyed when ordering.

Nice cafe for breakfasts , burgers, chips, etc. Always friendly staff.

I had a lovely cheese omelette and chips which came with a garnish of lettuce, cucumber and tomato and my partner, a veggie breakfast. Tasty. Poppins has such a varied menu there's something for everyone.

£12.80 for a breakfast that was oily and bland. Paying that much for a breakfast should mean quality but that is not the case. Definitely won’t be going again as staff are not friendly unless you clearly don’t have an issue and then they are lovely. They definitely don’t take criticism very well and also talking Turkish about me when I understand and speak the language myself. Very rude and disrespectful. Go to spoons better food for half the price and definitely better service!

Honestly the worst and I mean the worst breakfast I have ever had was greasie as hell and over priced I could have done better and healthier at home and before someone says well maybe not for everyone I would advise steer well clear

This restaurant provides a wide variety of meals, which are cooked to order. It has table service, so there is no need to queue. Great place to pop in to, when you need to get some proper food and sit down when shopping in Worthing.

Toilets need a good clean ,ie sinks tiles

Love this place. I go for breakfast most Saturdays here and sometimes the occasional lunch on a Sunday. A great choice of menu. Food always cooked fresh and well presented. Very friendly run restaurant, staff very attentive. Restaurant very clean.

I am unaware if management has changed hands - but there is a downward difference,I have ham omelette and baked potato regular , Tuesday ordered the same only the potato was usual Poppins ,it was as though the omelette was cooked different ,whilst not a salad fan the amount of salad would barely sit on a dessert spoon ,I never eat salad and as usual I left it on the plate. I have been a customer for 7 years and will continue to be but I may change my choice on the menu

This is my second review of this restaurant. previously i gave it full marks but today 27 feb 22 I ordered a plaice in golden breadcrumbs. it was delivered about 4 inches long and so over cooked it was like a biscuit. i managed after scraping off the burnt breadcrumbs about a fork full of tasteless meat. I complained to the staff that i paid over £7 for such rubbish. The chef found it funny and said thats what the poppins group gave him to cook up. I know the fish was undersized about 3 and a half inches long and should have never been landed or sold. I will tell every one not to use this place as its robbery and a disgrace and should be sorted.

This has been our go-to restaurant in Worthing for a few years. It's reasonably priced, the food is tasty, the service is good, and, (important in my opinion), the toilets are clean. I am glad that it's not one of the restaurants which went out of business during the pandemic!

Poppins is my number 1 port of call for a breakfast when in worthing. The food is amazing, freshly cooked and served by the friendly staff. A great way to start your day, with the tea & coffee being especially enjoyable. Every visit over the years has never disappointed, great range of food and great prices. I highly recommend a visit.
