Beach House in Worthing

Date 13/07/2023 Returned many times to this establishment during our holiday as my wife and I love the gluten free burgers, the flavours are balanced perfectly. The staff are professional and the waitress named sian who took my order was very kind and professional, she was a true asset to the stores atmosphere.

What a hidden gem in Worthing! This was our first time at the Beach House, and we’re wondering how we missed out on this place for so long. From the moment we walked in, we could feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a fantastic playlist that set the perfect vibe, even on a quiet Wednesday evening. We were greeted by friendly staff and decided to sit outside with our dog. The outdoor seating area was comfortable and added to the relaxed, beachy feel of the place. Service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing, and the beer selection was impressive, offering a range of choices to suit any taste. Then we got to the burgers. For £20.95, we could choose any two burgers—a great deal considering the quality. When they arrived, they looked incredible, and every bite was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot-on, and the burgers were clearly made with care and quality ingredients. It’s safe to say we’ll definitely be returning, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. A big thank you to the team at the Beach House for a wonderful experience! Highly recommended.

We came in for our daughters 18th and Alex made sure we had everything we needed and even laid up the table with decorations. We would definitely return. Much love to the beach house. Thanks again

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday at The Beachhouse, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Alex and the team did an amazing job hosting the party. The food was absolutely delicious, and the location was perfect, right by the beach—such a beautiful setting! The space was ideal for a party, and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire event. I had the best time celebrating with friends and family, and it was all made possible by the wonderful team at The Beachhouse. I highly recommend this venue for any special occasion. Thank you for making my 30th so memorable!

A nice bar on the seafront where you can watch the cars and buses go by. Nice selection of drinks. Avoid the front seating if it's wet and windy, fight for a seat if it's warm and sunny. Bar prices are rather expensive.

Spent over two weeks in Worthing and stumbled on this place by accident Had a amazing burger and pints from here all the staff were great The girl who is the chef couldn’t accommodate my work mate more as he’s a fussy eater So she done home a plain grilled chicken burger that’s not on the menu Great value for money and very clean and tidy

36 people from an active living retirement village went to lunch here, on a day out at the seaside. Alex was so efficient to deal with in advance (we booked our meals ahead of time) and was so responsive in dealing with last minute changes. The location was superb, and the food delicious, the serving staff fantastic, and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. the team's care of our not so young visitors was exemplorary. We had a private room and a section of the bar, and would say that this restaurant is not only good for singles and families, but for large groups wishing to find an enclosed area for privacy. I commend you, the Beach House, and we'll be back again soon.

The food was exceptional. We enjoyed chorizo-loaded nachos and shell-on prawns, both of which were absolutely delicious. Our experience was further enhanced by the outstanding service from Alex, the barman, who went above and beyond to cater to our needs. We will definitely be returning with family.

Food not as good as it used to be.

We went in on a whim for a late afternoon bottle of wine before heading elsewhere for a meal. I ordered a decent bottle of Cote du Rhone ( red)... this arrived in an ice bucket plus the cork wasn't removed. I asked for the bottle to be opened, the waitress insisted it was a screw top and spent a minute trying to turn the top off... even after I told her it was a cork, she insisted on persevering with the screw top theory... eventually she disappeared to the bar and came back with the cork removed, by a colleague... however, she plonked it straight back in the ice,... I explained that red needs to be room temperature, she just shrugged.

Fantastic burgers 🍔 lovely crunchy chips and piping hot. Friendly staff and very good manager .Will definitely be going back.👍

Had a good lunch here, nachos are great. But why oh why did they get rid of the med/cheese platter - it was so good! Not many places in Worthing do something like that and it’s nice to have something to share that isn’t a burger.

Visited as part of the Worthing tap takeover and had some very tasty 360 brewing beers

Look out over Worthing Pier and see setting suns, murmurations, accompanied by music onto the outdoor seating. Nov 2023. Beer good too! Views of wind farm in the distance.

Our favourite place in town for a drink and something to eat. Chilled atmosphere, friendly staff, great food and drink, and dog friendly. We love it here.

A great lunch spot on the sea. A dish for every taste and nice selection of flavoursome lunch favourites. The burger is excellent. The fishy burger is really good. A nice oicpoul for £25 too! AND 15% off your bill if you bring your dog!

A great burger and very nice fish burger. chips are crispy delicious and a bottle of picpoul for £25 is pretty comparible to other hot spots about Worthing. Give it a go, folks. AND....15% off your bill if you bring your dog🐶!

This place is one of my all-time favourite places for food and drinks in Worthing. The food is always consistent, hot and of great quality. The bar's drinks menu is vast and always well stocked (I'm hoping for some mulled wine just before Christmas? Ehehe)... See you guys again very soon!

Great place on the front for drinks with friends, good beers, friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. Not eaten here yet but watch this space, what I have seen served on a plate looks absolutely scrumptious.

Ebenezer is a truly professional and friendly bar tender, excellent service and first class cocktails with a smile. The drop in star was because the fish and chips was average and arrived too soon so suspected this was quickly warmed up from earlier. To be fair we did order at 9pm but even so fresh is best. We would return for drinks and service.

The place is enjoyable and the food is excellent. However, the staff lacks basic customer service. They never asked for feedback on the food, and I had to request to clean the bench. Being alone was difficult to go inside to ask for more drinks without need to collect my stuff with me. If they had checked, I would have consumed more. There is definitely room for improvement in their customer service.

Stopped for lunch on a hot day sat outside and service,food and drinks were all superb wish it was close to where we live as I would use regularly

Searching for a place open on Monday night in Worthing (till 9), I found The Beach House. It's an old favourite. Best burgers in Worthing!!! Great staff.

Visited yesterday would have been nice to have been advised of drinks promotion. Only realised when I went to the toilet flyer upstairs but nothing on the bar. Disappointing,mentioned to staff who didn’t really care.

Came for my son’s birthday, 10 of us, different ages so different tastes. Had a great time, Ebs and the rest of the staff really looked after us. The food was incredible, the Chicken Katsu Burger and the Lamb Burgers in particular where next level but all the food was great, everyone had clean plates! Superb beers on draught and cocktails too, the soundtrack was cool too, real cool atmosphere. If it wasn’t a Monday night could have been dangerous 😁

Nice atmosphere, kind of expensive. We couldn't get food at 8.45pm which was a shame so we just had drinks which were expensive. £37 for a bottle of wine and a pint. Lovely bar people though!

Came in last Wednesday evening for dinner after work with some friends and had such a lovely time. I had the caesar salad and my friends made use of the burger deal and the food was absolutely divine (they went as far to say it’s the best burgers they’ve ever had - well done chef!) Also would like to note the excellent service by the two girls on waiting/bar duty. The restaurant was completely packed out but they were running around tirelessly ensuring every table was fully catered for, checked on and made to feel genuinely cared about despite there only being the two of them cleaning, taking plates and manning the bar. Having worked in the hospitality industry myself I know this is no easy task and want them to know it doesn’t go unnoticed so well done to them both! Excellent customer service and wonderful food and drink choices!

Staff very attentive food ok but nothing special good range if drinks including cocktails.

Service was very poor, no acknowledgement on arrival and no thank you when leaving, not a lot to ask for and goes a long way. No soap in men’s bathroom until I asked for a member of staff to top it up, next time I went to the bathroom the dispenser was empty again. Not good in a place that sells food. Nothing special about this place!

Great place to meet up with friends on visit to Worthing. Awesome food. Not overly priced drinks, and the service was impeccable (big shout for Eboneezer, goes out of his way to assist, faultlessly polite and welcoming), from all staff. I will return :)

Lovely little place for a couple of beers

The girl and boy behin the bar were so good last night we came back this evening and were so happy to see them both again! They were both friendly, attentive and welcoming, happy to have a chat and advise us on drinks choices and the offers and events they have going on in the week! A real credit to the business and we will definitely be returning!

I seem to have added this on another account so I'm copying it here and will close the other one I hadn't motivated to do a review since the last time we were at Beach House, which I think in itself says something. We've eaten out a lot, just not been inspired enough to do any reviews! Still awesome, the menu is mimimal but why offer pages and pages of options when you've perfect the popular dishes and your are limited in kitchen space. The burgers are great, not preform frozen discs but fresh and actually in the same food group as steak. Chips are great tripple cooked and fresh for every order. Nice simple decor and local artists work available to buy from the walls. The kids are always happy to come back here, the staff are always nice and friendly and genuinely seem to care that you enjoy your food. Good drinks selection and candles on the tables in the evening. No it isn't the cheapest but the ingredients aren't the cheapest, if you want a generic meat disc In a bun and mass fried reconstituted potato shapes there are plenty of options in Worthing, if you want to see your food cooked just for you in an open kitchen then give Beach House a shot.

Visited today the service and food was incredible, I came for lunch and ended up visiting again in the evening. Many thanks to Kelsey, Sian, Gabrielle and Franky who looked after me, a credit to the business. I will be returning soon

Nice place, decent drinks selection

Just had a great lunch at the beach house cafe I would definitely recommend. Food was great with good service

The location and atmosphere of the bar is lovely, however the service was appalling. We ordered 6 cocktails and sat down and waited. There was only 1 server behind the bar, whist the other employee was setting up a party. The server stopped 3 times and served the people as they came in. We waited for 15+minutes to receive 3 out of the 6 before I complained. We finally received all drinks 20minutes after ordering. The bar wasn't even busy, probably 8/10 customers. I'm sure if we stood at the bar, rather than sitting down, the server would have just done our drinks. Such a shame as we didn't have time to order another round before our dinner reservation.

As a local, I used to visit this place frequently, but won't be again! We went there yesterday and were surprised to see how much the prices had increased and are now as expensive as a nice restaurant, however this is more of a café. We ordered some food, and the menu, which used to be far more interesting, has changed. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was very small with loads of batter, so paid a lot for a large plate of chips and a small piece of fish! Very unimpressed, and won't be back and my partner felt the same about his dish. Luckily there are other far nicer, better value places nearby!

The staff were nice and the service was fine, too. Dogs are allowed in, which is a plus. The food was average. I didn't finish mine, but everyone in my party enjoyed theirs. It's difficult to find dog friendly places in Worthing that are open past 5 pm, so it was luck of the draw. I live in Brighton but also had to find somewhere close to Broadwater due to the logistics of others coming along for the evening.

A nice place to chat and have some drinks. The service is great and the atmosphere is excellent for a Sunday afternoon.

We went here on a Wednesday, early lunchtime, it was quiet, which meant we could talk. The service was attentive, the food was good and the decor had interesting / amusing images etc on the walls.

My wife and I are on our honeymoon and decided to stop at the beach house after it was recommended by someobe at the hotel. A lovely lady welcomed us at the door then took our order at the table. We had 2 gluten free burgers wich were delicious, the chips were the best part, lovely and Crispy. Currently sampling the bar :P The atmosphere is happy and welcoming and the staff were very professional. 10/10.

Went for pre dinner drinks....lovely decor and directly opposite the beach. Great cocktails and good choice of ales and cider. Would imagine it would be packed in summer.

Had the pleasure of visiting the beech house last weekend for some food, the service was amazing, the food was amazing and the bar was clean and spacious. I would highlighly recomend a visit to The Beech House

Staff were friendly throughout the visit, they looked happy to be there and we felt welcomed and valued. It felt very relaxed and worked like a bar (we went up to order food/drinks) but with restaurant quality food. We all had different burgers but all agreed that they were absolutely fantastic. Probably the best burgers we’ve had in a very long time. We were lucky to grab a table outside, which was stunning to watch the sunset and gorgeous sea views. Will definitely return.

A great all round place amazing cocktails and drinks in general. A non complicated menu with quality produce served well with exceptional service. Having visited this great place a few times lately which has a fabulous atmosphere, we decided to bring our granddaughter who in turn at only two got into the vibes! We will be returning thats for sure particularly when thirsty as we know how quick the bar staff serve and endeavour to not keep customers waiting. Mixed age group which works well with both outdoor and indoor seating. I strongly believe a lot of places could learn from them.

First visit was just for drinks and to check out the menu. The food that was coming out to other tables looked and smelt lovely. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Went there this afternoon for lunch. We had some burgers, fish and goat cheese salad. My little one ordered onion rings - they were spectacularly served🙂 - and fries. Great good at a very decent cost and fantastic service. Highly recommend!

Quick visit today for a Sunday burger brunch. Pleasantly surprised . My daughter and I each had a Smokey Bacon Burger and they were super yummy. Cooked to perfection. I did NOT expect that. Well done, chef! Paired with a pint of Harvey's, this place earned themselves a couple of returning guests.

Great service and great drinks. A range of keg and cask beers, cocktails, gins and wines by the glass. We just came for an aperitif but the food and hot bar snacks looked really good. Dog friendly!

We ordered three burgers and they were really really good. However, the service can be improved. We had to wait long tine to order, even when the place wasn't crowded. I had to go inside to get the menus myself an collect the beverages. The food took long to be prepared, but it was very good, as I said earlier.

Visited The Beach House Cafe yesterday evening for food and drinks. We ordered two charcuterie boards and had to wait an exceptionally long time for the food to come. When it arrived, it didn't appear to be very fresh; the bread was a bit stale and the veg used wasn't very nice. Overall, it didn't appear to be worth the money that we paid. The staff ignored us, didn't bring over cutlery, check in or even apologise for the delay. A couple next to us arrived much later, ordered the same and received their food in good time, whilst being waited on attentively. This was our first visit and sadly not a good experience.

All good except that sitting outside by the congested road on a hot Saturday lunchtime was probably a mistake. Sitting out the front at a quieter time would be fine though.
