Nice little tea room/cake n pastries place. Sells a WIDE variety of stuff, and takeaway of you prefer. Good veggie options and really nice bread etc. I had a great sausage and bacon baguette (lovely Herby sausage and nice bacon). Loo is upstairs and hilariously wonky (as in leans) and sticky floored (I think this is a varnish problem though!)

Very bad experience ordered baked potato beans, cheese and side salad High lipped Plate arrived with potato cut open a little cheese on it and a pool of baked beans mostly sauce all over the whole plate including the few leaves of salad -not acceptable tasteless and looked a mess. However, staff very friendly and I was offered a replacement but as in a group timing would have been difficult

Newly refurbished superb 15th century local pub - warm and friendly with cosy fireside seating - great food whether you are after a steak or a pint of prawns. Lovely big riverside garden. In the heart of the pretty village of Lamberhurst - walking distance to the beautiful Scotney Castle. This Inn has been the centre of village life since c1410 and Rich and Becks are continuing the tradition of a wonderful welcome with great beers and homemade food.

Greeted by a cosy, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. We both had the vegan 'fish' and chips, and although my friend is not vegan, she loved it. It was really delicious, and the the vanilla and chocolate vegan ice cream was scrummy - so rich and creamy. Had a lovely, leisurely lunch.

Delicious roast would have been enough to write a sterling review but by chance they also had a reptile man in, who allowed the children to pet this hairest guinea pigs I have ever seen! The Compasses, with roaring fires and bustling atmosphere, is the friendliest pub in the area. A perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Good prices. Friendly staff. One regular who is so annoying stops me from going back.

Jus bought sausage n chips as I asked for a pie and the woman was going to microwave it and I said “no thanks” she said “all pies are microwaved in chip shops” I was charged £6,80… Sausage n chips? Penny didnt drop until I was up the road. The woman was rude and mumbled and the chips had seen better moments. Sausage was fine.,The fish in the keep warm Section did not inspire. first and last time there.,

We’ve been coming here on and off for a number of years. This time didn’t seem as good as previous. The food a bit bland, pork cracking was chewy, some of the food was good. Expensive for what we got, especially the kids carvery. I’m sure we will come back, but in no desperate hurry.

I’ve made the journey from Faversham to Water Lane just for breakfast here several times and it’s always worth the trip. Food is always fresh and tasty and large portions. Restaurant is in a beautiful old glass house, interesting atmosphere and surroundings are stunning.

Had lunch there. Food was excellent. Place was good with vibrant music. Service was brilliant, special thanks to VITO who got a sense of humour and made our lunch full of colour and excitement. Really appreciated and definitely worth to come back!
