The best restaurants serving British food in Tunbridge Wells South East

Very slow to get a tea and latte around 15/20 minutes. Good value for money breakfast but eggs were like rubber and hash browns very greasy. Was busy and clearly popular but I wouldn’t rush back

Very bad experience ordered baked potato beans, cheese and side salad High lipped Plate arrived with potato cut open a little cheese on it and a pool of baked beans mostly sauce all over the whole plate including the few leaves of salad -not acceptable tasteless and looked a mess. However, staff very friendly and I was offered a replacement but as in a group timing would have been difficult

Stopped for tea and cake whilst travelling through. Obviously popular with locals as it is a tea shop and does takeaway sandwiches made to order. Looked fine, nice old building but the flies at this time did not make for a good feeling. The tea was very weak probably because the cup was too big, I couldn't tell that I was drinking earl grey. Cake was fine.

Food was absolutely delicious, service excellent, staff pleasant and helpful. This such a lovely place ambience very cosy, atmosphere friendly and inviting.

Good service, lovely food, and attentive staff. We were seated in the smaller dining area, which had a lovely christmas atmosphere as the tree was up and we were given some beautiful crackers to go with our meal. One of our party had gluten and dairy allergies and this was appropriately catered for.

Such a great service from Mia! I had a cumberland sausage and caesar salad and my bestie had a chicken burger ! The atmosphere was very #christmassy, will come again.

This is a quaint establishment which I found to be amazing. The bar area and decor had an attention to detail I have never seen. The owners were so friendly. There is nowhere else in this area that meets this establishment

Even though I used to like Basil for their coffee and pancakes, I would never go back again because the owner is incredibly rude and openly made fun of my accent. The manager at the St John’s Road location had never made me feel welcome either. The prices are also ridiculous.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, offering a cosy and relaxing environment. I recommend taking a table by the window to enjoy the views accross the park. Decided to indulge in 2 of the sharing boards with my friend and a bottle of wine. Nicely presented food and excellent service from the staff.

Expensive food but Nice and nice hotel Room

Wanted to pop in for a drink after being to the cinema, however was turned away at the threshold upon arrival at 21:15 as they were closed due to it being a ‘quiet day’!? Have been a couple of times previously for pre-match drinks and found the establishment quite pleasant however won’t bother again now.
