The woman is really rude… I would stay well away from this chip shop… they are not good at cooking either.

Asked how long the chickens been out and they screamed at me the worst customer service Iv ever encountered

Ordered an OAP fish and chips for my father, which I have done many times before from other establishments and the portion size is normally fine. However, you genuinely get about 10 chips maximum with this OAP meal, so I had to ask for additional chips and paid extra but the lady was incredibly rude. I also asked could the fish and chips be wrapped separately which they seemed was a huge inconvenience, despite explaining to them it was because we lived 20 minute away and I didn’t want it to go soggy. My dad said the fish and chips were horrible and one of the worst he ever had. We have been to the Marinos in Tunbridge Wells and that was better but we would definitely not be going back here.

Where Bill Gates and Elon Musk buy their chips... I had to get a second mortgage to buy a large chips and a small cod, I had to sell my children to the Clinton's to be able to afford a can of fanta. Food though I guess and we aren't spoiled for choices this end of Tunbridge Wells.

This is the easily the worst fish and chips I have ever had, nothing was crispy, the batter you could not cut with a knife and was chewy. There was nothing crispy about the chips either. The fish that I scraped out of the inedible batter was dry, this regular portion was smaller than my local fish and chips kids meal. My partners meal was no better, battered sausage was like a sponge and the pie was undercooked.

Really gone downhill , used to be the best fish & chip shop by far , had cod & chips last night , chips were dry & fish was greasy & full of oil covered in a batter so thick I could’ve made some shoes out of it , such a shame but will have to go elsewhere

Brought food from here for 12 or so years. Quality has never dropped. Same staff for as long as I remember who always remember your order. Always friendly, quick and fair prices.

I must say the food here is lovely and as a family we have never had bad experience with the food. However, the biggest downside to this place is the staff. I have never met such rude staff members. We try to come here regular being a local but the staff members are so rude with no manners whatsoever. It has started to really put us off as you want a friendly experience especially being a regular. We have decided to go elsewhere now due to the staff having no time for their customers.

Ordered on Deliveroo and paid for 2 cans of Diet Coke (£2.20 per can!). The ordered then arrived without the drinks. I called the shop and was SHOUTED at by the guy that answered the phone - and he said “what do you want me to do about it”. Belligerent and rude. Delicious food though! 😂

I've lived in coastal towns and cities and been in High Brooms for 4 years, I've known many Fish n Chip shops and this is the only Fish n Chip shop where I've NEVER had a bad order, never had a warm saveloy always hot, chips are always spot on, the batters always crispy and the staff are lovely. There's a reason it's so busy!

Terrible,burger was very greasy,the chips were old and warm,will NOT be going back,youre better off at the London Road one in Tunbridge Wells,I dont usually give bad reviews but I was a head chef for over 20yrs,so you can take this review to the bank.

I have witnessed the owner of this restaurant threatening and shouting horribly at delivery drivers. It is appalling behaviour, very unprofessional and for this reason I will NEVER be ordering from this restaurant again.

Fish wasn’t fresh . They fried old fish and serving it when I chase them , they so rude and unprofessional. Don’t recommend anyone else . If I’m able I would not even give 1 star. Waste of money

Decided to try Marino’s last night, and we were not disappointed. The best fish & chips we’ve had in TW, since moving here in September. To quote my parents “this is the best we’ve had for a long long time”; coming from a family who live on the North East coast. The fish was super fresh, meaty and as white as it comes, with almost perfect chips. Portions are great too. Reasonably priced and great staff so will be coming back for sure. A must try!

Always fantastic fish and chips

The staff were friendly and polite. Parking in the street opposite was free and easy. I ordered large Cod, regular chips and curry sauce. The fish was battered and cooked to order. Came to £9:40. When I arrived home it was still very hot. The chips were soft (I had asked for salt and vinegar and this was only on the chips and everything was wrapped separately in chip soft paper rather than a cardboard box) and like the fish, the oil tasted fresh. The batter on the fish was wafer thin and thus lacked sufficient thickness of batter to make the batter crunchy/crispy. I can imagine some like this, however, my personal preference is for a thick, crispy and crunchy batter and had both the fish and the chips been crispy - I would have scored five stars. It was okay overall and tasted nice and there was lots of brilliant white cod to eat. Portion size very generous and I ate it all.

Best chippy in T-wells. You honestly won't find better. The fact that you can order gluten free battered fish (and I believe now sausage too) is excellent for those with dietary requirements. The staff are amazingly friendly and efficient and if you go often enough (like myself) they will know your order as you walk in the door! Can't recommend it any more that a must try for your local chippy!

the food is terrible me and my wife visited on saturday evening we ordered chicken and chips the chicken was disgusting it was more like fox in a box even our dog would not eat it i definately wont be going back so beware
