Bill's Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

We came here for my birthday dinner. The service was great. The atmosphere was fantastic and as for the food it was very enjoyable. I've missed bill's restaurant for so long as where I live. It got closed down. Shame it's not there anymore

Our chips were cold on arrival, but tyr staff were amazing and were very quick to get replacements.

Maddie was our server and she was very friendly, and as always the food was spectacular - the garden plate on the breakfast menu was 👌

What great service even though the restaurant was extremely busy the staff were friendly warm and genuinely happy to look after us. we thought we might have to wait for our lunch but it was served in good time and was delicious. The whole place was buzzing and everyone looked like they were having a great time.a special thanks to Liv, Emma and Max. Keep up the great work.

Great ambience, however the service was appalling, Almost 2 hour wait for the food to reach our table, Bills classic burger was barely warm and came with fries not sweet potato fries as ordered , turns out they didn’t have any. A Big Mac would have put Bills classic in the shade. My cousin had to ask them for the drink he ordered as they appeared to have forgotten. Bottle of average white wine £43 x 2, bubbly at £60. So for 6 people, 4 starters, 2burgers, 3 salad bowls and a prawn cocktail with 4 soft drinks came to about £335. Poor value all round.

Lovely venue! We were served by Maddie who was very attentive and friendly. Will be back again soon.

A really special experience, entering from a quiet street on a cold Sunday morning, into a warm and inviting world, filled with happy people. Leah, our hostess, could do no wrong, and handled every challenge with "No problem!".

Friendly welcome & excellent service from the lovely staff. Absolutely no problem when I asked for no olives & extra feta in my Santorini salad. It was really good as were the accompanying sweet potato fries. My friend & I also had crispy chicken dumplings & corn dogs to start & fish goujons with fries. All great.

A great meal at Bills - we were not aware it was the weekend brunch menu and so wanted the gluten free fish pie - so the waitress asked the kitchen and they says yes!! So great customer service! The fish pie is delicious - full of salmon, cod and prawns. The gluten free blueberry pancakes were wonderful - a real treat. On the weekend brunch menu the hippie bowl, calamari, Korean cauliflower and doughnuts all tasty. A great meal and such a good atmosphere!

Food only 4 stars as some of the main ingredients from ‘The Hippy Salad’ (grains) were not available… ‘Bills’ pulled it back from a 2 star review because the serving staff (Mia in particular) was right on the mark by coming to tell us about the lack of ingredient and offer a resolution. She was apologetic and offered a couple of options to resolve the situation. She was attentive without being overly intrusive and was always seen to be busy. It was very busy here, so we were pleased we’d booked. The table we wanted wasn’t available but we were given another very good table. The whole experience was very good and we would happily recommend the restaurant to others.

We enjoyed a delicious, hot breakfast this morning. All staff were friendly and helpful, especially Leah who took our order and ensured we were happy with our food and had everything we needed. Thank you everyone - we'll be back soon.

Had a great vegan breakfast - with poached eggs instead of ‘vegan scrambled eggs’, which fantastic waitress Maddie was happy to arrange. Food was generally excellent - my partner had steak and eggs, declaring it “the best I’ve ever had”, and Maddie was really friendly, helpful and efficient.

We had the pleasure of being looked after by Charlie who went above and beyond to make the evening a pleasure. She is friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic and an asset to Bill’s. Food was good and not too expensive. I can recommend the cocktails here.

For a chain, Bills never disappoints. The decor is cozy and inviting. Our visit to the Tunbridge Wells branch was excellent, the food was good quality and our waiter Donny was attentive and super friendly. A few more vegan Gluten Free dishes would make this five stars.

From the brunch menu, I recommend trying the squash, eggs & feta sourdough dish, as well as the breakfast burger. Both of these dishes are well balanced and taste delicious. From the all day menu, the chicken two way was disappointing, as well as the buttermilk chicken burger which came out burnt. Service was responsive and helpful, replacing the burger in a timely manner. In the future I will be less likely to order any chicken dishes.

Me and my husband went in for dessert and was met with a warm welcome. I couldn't choose between two desserts but Maddie helped me decide and it was a delicious dessert! Husband ordered pancakes which Daisy suggested I could steal some off and they were super delicious too! All in all really good service from Daisy and Maddie, good desserts and a nice atmosphere. Will definitely come again soon.

Just had a wonderful afternoon meal with the family at Bill’s Tunbridge Wells. 11 of us, including 4 children aged 5-11. The atmosphere is really great, the staff super helpful, an ideal venue for families, Bill’s is perfect for us as we have 3 coeliacs + 2 vegetarians in the family and the staff are super hot on their allergen advice. Great range of dishes for everyone, so no one feels left out and there is plenty of choice. Food is great quality and the children’s meals are prepared to a high standard using quality ingredients. Even the kid’s fish fingers were clearly prepared from scratch on site. Special shout out to Maddie ❤️ who went above and beyond looking after us for the afternoon, ensuring the order was precisely taken catering for allergens and ensure the kids were catered for. She really made sure we had a great time. Good value, excellent service and quality food, who could ask for more.

Went to Bills today for a celebratory birthday breakfast. Our waitress was Emily who was very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious. Didn’t have to wait too long. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend Bills.

I visited Bill’s in Tunbridge Wells with my family on a weekday. It was easy to reserve a table online, and the staff were kind and courteous, though the restaurant was fairly busy. There was a relatively good selection of gluten-free options, which was a plus. However, the wait for food was excessive—well over 35 minutes. I was with my pregnant wife and two young children, and while they tolerated it with the colouring materials provided, the delay was frustrating. The staff did acknowledge and apologise for the wait just as I was about to complain. The food was ok, not exceptional as I was expecting. I had the truffle chicken, which was a bit dry. Another disappointment was the automatic 12.5% service charge added when paying via the QR code on the table. The only way to remove it was by speaking to the waiters, but after already spending so much time there, I didn’t want to stay longer, so I begrudgingly paid and left. Sadly, despite being local, I won’t be returning.

There is a serious sewage problem in this restaurant it made us feel sick. The service was so slow and there was only 6 tables in the whole restaurant!!!

Bills is pretty standard and you usually know what you'll get and that it will be good. After placing our food order our food arrived in less that a minute, majority of it lukewarm only the eggs hot. Plate was cold. There were alot of dogs here - which I've no issue with but they were up on the furniture and sat at tables.

Not great food. Muffin for eggs Benedict not toasted so cold and soggy. I mean, really, how hard is it to get this dish right ?? Halloumi burger had far too much hummous in so it was falling out everywhere and therefore tasted of cold halloumi. Fries cold too. Another waste of money, may as well have bought a meal deal from Boots and sat on a bench in town. What is going on with restaurants nowadays, no thought put into presenting or even cooking properly whilst increased prices.

We ate here in a family group. The atmosphere and decor is nice and cosy like other Bill's. The service was slow to begin with but improved and was then quick. The offerings for children are a bit boring and it would be nice if there was a different option offered. The chicken from the children's menu came out very dry and looked over cooked and there was only one good spoonful of peas. Many of our adult meals were tasty including the boxing day curry but certain meals had too small a portion / portion of certain things.

Despite being full for Christmas pre-panto, the service was fast and attentive and the food delicious. Sudha was great

we were sat near the door in what we thought would be a cosy area. NO ONE ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS OK. they were busy running at least a couple of menus. The wait for food was horrendous in total 3 hours for 4 adult meals and 1 child . they totally forgot 1 meal then it was missing 3 items. another meal was burger we asked for no sauce but this was ignored or it had a little so it was obviously an afterthought (oops). several drinks nothing was cleared from table so started to put things on floor. when one of us went to the toilet all other tables were clear . they clearly forgot about the table in the window. food was lukewarm and very small portions.

We were welcomed by a young girl named Liv, she was very bubbly and smiley. She was very attentive, the food was delicious and will definitely come back.

I had a lovely time at Bills in Tunbridge Wells. From when we entered we were greeted with a cheery smile from a lovely waitress, Poppy, who took us to this perfect table, where we sat and had these perfectly made burgers which a wonderful Ben brought out to us. In addition, on the house, as it was Matilda’s early birthday meal, they brought out a gorgeous brownie and ice cream with a candle in and had the staff sing happy birthday to her. I had a lovely time and would truly recommend going if you are passing through Tunbridge Wells, and a special thank you to Poppy and Ben for making it that bit more special!
