This was a special treat for Mothers Day and our first visit to The Smallholding. It was amazing! We all had the 7 course chefs menu and it was delicious. As each course was served the chef explained all the different components that made up the dish. One of our group had allergies but it was no problem at all as each course was tailor made to accommodate this without being made to feel different. The food was first class and every mouthful a delight to eat. Thank you for making our day so special. We even had a box of home made chocolates given to each Mum in our group. I thoroughly recommend this great restaurant and will certainly go back again. Thank you.

Greeted by a cosy, warm atmosphere and friendly staff. We both had the vegan 'fish' and chips, and although my friend is not vegan, she loved it. It was really delicious, and the the vanilla and chocolate vegan ice cream was scrummy - so rich and creamy. Had a lovely, leisurely lunch.

I absolutely love Juliets. The moment you step inside, you're amazed by the sight of beautiful, freshly made cakes and salads. The décor is a delight — quirky and full of character, mixed cutlery, vintage teacups, and eclectic artwork gracing rustic brick walls, creating a cosy charm that makes every visit feel special. It’s a place you want to return to again and again — whether for a peaceful moment with a book, a catch-up with friends, or just an excuse to indulge in another slice of something sweet. A true treasure.

Good prices. Friendly staff. One regular who is so annoying stops me from going back.

Jus bought sausage n chips as I asked for a pie and the woman was going to microwave it and I said “no thanks” she said “all pies are microwaved in chip shops” I was charged £6,80… Sausage n chips? Penny didnt drop until I was up the road. The woman was rude and mumbled and the chips had seen better moments. Sausage was fine.,The fish in the keep warm Section did not inspire. first and last time there.,

Incredibly disappointed with the Basil bowl. 2 pieces of aubergine, a tiny bit of coleslaw, avocado and unwashed lettuce for £10! I know food prices have gone up, but as a customer you still expect value for money! The smoothie was lovely but was son’s banana cake was dry and crumbly. I always thought this cafe was a good option at the top of the high street, but not now 😥

Var en tur i Calverley Grounds for en gåtur og da der kom en regn byge valgte vi at gå ind i denne lille hyggelig cafe. Her er servering både inde og ude. Hyggelig typisk engelsk.

I’ve made the journey from Faversham to Water Lane just for breakfast here several times and it’s always worth the trip. Food is always fresh and tasty and large portions. Restaurant is in a beautiful old glass house, interesting atmosphere and surroundings are stunning.

Large family table upstairs on a Sunday. Good starters and good roast main course. Cauli cheese on side a bit too Al dente for cauli cheese. Apple and plum crumble was awful. No plums, undercooked apple and cut out or moulded with round ring or cutter. Very thin custard. You can get away with thin creme anglaise but not custard mix custard. Overall a good experience and the staff were brilliant from start to finish but oh that crumble. Just make a traditional crumble. That's what we all want and it seem a rare treat these days where everyone wants to top their crumble with granola or crumbled flapjacks!!
