The best restaurants serving British food in Runnymede South East

My daughter in law wanted to breast feed her new baby and we were welcomed and shown to a very comfortable area to sit. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The manager is to be congratulated on his staff training. The food, sausage sandwiches, were excellent and very reasonably priced.

Lovely location right by the Thames. The interior is tasteful, great staff. We had a fabulous Sunday lunch, best Yorkshires followed by a few drinks. Thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely return.

I ordered a pot of tea.I let it stand until the food arrived. When I poured it looked very weak. The tea bag seemed devoid of leaves, despite my squeezing the colour of the tea was light grey after adding a dash of milk. I asked the waitress for another tea bag. " I will have to charge you" was her immediate response without firstly examining the defective teabag. I reacted by telling her that I wanted a refund for the tea and she duly obliged. Now ,here is my question. The pot of tea was £2.80. An extra teabag maybe 2 pence. Their profit on that cup of tea possibly £2? She chose to cost her employer £2 for the sake of a 2 p teabag. !!! Another issue. When I ordered via their app it asked for a tip. It used to be that you tipped after the meal according to the level of service !! I usually leave a cash tip. Had I have tipped when I ordered would they refund the tip if I wasn't satisfied?

Seafare is now under new management and is now called ‘Fish and Chips’. You can eat in and the quality is good.

The people are Clara's are friendly, informative and helpful! We had an amazing tasting bacon bap and a great burger and chips. The coffee's were tasty and always made fresh. A great selection of herbal tea's too! Would highly recommend stopping by and sampling the great quality ingredients that is used to make great food. Thank you to the team at Clara's for a great experience.

Molly was superb looking after us during a very busy Sunday lunch period. Nothing was too much to ask. The Hotel Manager was marvellous stepping in to cope with huge numbers of people turning up on a sunny day. Food was excellent 11 out of 10!

Had my best ever Ploughman’s lunch here today. Scotch egg was immense. Generous with the cheese. Rosie looked after us brilliantly

Myself and my wife made our first re-visit of the year today and it was great ….. garden looked lovely and the mill stream was pushing through at some pace ….. you can sit right next to it and enjoy a drink and a good meal while watching the dragon flies chase each other up and down the river ….. the food was good and we chose the Monday night special consisting of 6oz burgers in a bun, chips, coleslaw and onion rings all for ……… £18, now that’s a great price for a couple and we both enjoyed the food ….. get there early if it’s sunny as the garden is very popular esp if you want one of the river tables …. Very welcoming. Food was freshly cooked, tasty and hot. Great value for money. Pub was clean and comfortable. Nice traditional pub.

We were warmly welcomed and offered drinks from a great selection. The roast dinner was really delicious and my request for extra gravy was met! Puddings were also lovey. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend.
