Came here for the first time today and will definitely be back! The toasties were delicious and the service was incredible! Thank you so much to the gentleman who served us today (sorry we didn't catch your name) My son has just turned one and the gentleman catered to his every need and didn't mind the mess we made! He then made sure we got his hat back when we'd left it! You were a star! I hope your head is clear 🙏

Had a lovely lunch at the Outlook with family. Enjoyed being able to sit and enjoy the view over the canal. Look forward to coming back.

Nos alojamos en Reading durante unos días y cuando vimos este pequeño establecimiento parecía un lugar ideal para parar para un almuerzo ligero. Observamos que no había ningún cuadro de mando de higiene de la Agencia de Normas Alimentarias en la puerta. Sin embargo, cuando comprobamos en línea, vimos que se le había dado una puntuación de 3 que equivale a “generalmente satisfactorio”. Asumo que gran parte de su comercio es para llevar, pero hay dos mesas para aquellos que deseen comer en. Había una amplia selección disponible, y opté por tener una patata chaqueta con frijoles horneados y queso. El miembro del personal que me sirvió fue educado y amable y preguntó si quería ensalada. Dije que sí a la ensalada y como la comida llegó delante de mí, pensé que se veía muy bien y que seguramente debería disfrutarlo. Se servía en un tazón bastante grande y parecía una porción generosa. Desafortunadamente, cuando comencé a comer la comida me di cuenta de que apenas estaba caliente y ciertamente no caliente. Por supuesto, no quería que la ensalada estuviera caliente, pero quería que tanto la papa de la chaqueta como los frijoles horneados estuvieran bastante calientes. Inmediatamente llevé mi comida al mostrador y le pedí muy amablemente al joven asistente que la pusiera en el microondas para calentarla. Si solo hubieran sido capaces de obtener la temperatura correcta de la comida, habría sido casi - perfecto.

I was so pleased to find a typical British / English café. Thee was so much from which to choose. The menu showed set breakfasts (eg full English or sausage, egg and bacon or wo eggs sausage and tomato). One could also pick various bits of English breakfast and ask for one's own plateful of options. I love friend bread so chose two fried breads, an egg and two fried fresh tomatoes (I could have chosen tinned tomatoes). My friend has the full English. We didn't need anything to eat for the rest of the day. There was also the choice of cup for tea - tea cup, breakfast cup or a larger one. The prices were so reasonable and the staff sociable without being intrusive. Please look at the cafés website and see the menu there. We'll certainly return.

Baja con el nuevo menú. Desde el cambio de menú el atractivo ha ido por lo que una vez fue un gran lugar. El menú es limitado sin opciones de huevo / avo en tostadas o un tostado todo puesto en los costos. El lugar tiene mucho personal que parece carecer de organización. ¡15 minutos de espera desde el pedido hasta recibir un café y un croissant! Prefiero apoyar a las empresas independientes, sin embargo, el ahorro de costes ya no hace de este un destino de primera opción. Si tienes mucho tiempo para esperar y simplemente quieres un café está bien.

I got a box of yesterdays cookies that was meant to be a general mix and it contains all the worst flavours. I was told there were boxes of general mix, then boxes of white chocolate, rose and cranberry and then vegan boxes. My mixed box was only rose and coconut and one cranberry. I had hoped of the six cookies in a box, there'd be one or two decent flavours but was sadly disappointed. I know they're reduced and you can't pick the flavours. But if they say it's a mixed box, and other boxes have specific flavours, I'd expect a mixed box .

Great service, staff are friendly and really make your night. Drinks are delish, and the food is to die forrr! Myself and my friends thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We often struggle to find places where we feel comfortable having fun at our supposedly “old ages” but there was groups of all ages in here so we didn’t feel as though we stuck out which was great. Thank you Revolution we will definitely be coming here again!

Good and quick bartender service

Excellent lunchtime stop. Best loaded nachos that I've ever had and delicious minted lamb hot pot from the specials menu. Good friendly service and great value!

Atmosphere as always lovely but would never go back for food. They were out of pretty much everything on the kids menu and only told us each time when we ordered. The food they had did not come how described either as they were again out of things but hadn’t told us. It was mother’s day so we tried to make the best of it but really disappointing and not worth the money. We had to stop at mc Donald’s on the way home to feed the kids. A bit of a joke to be honest.

Some changes need to be made it’s need updating and maybe looking after the loyal customers More variety on the menu Lovely staff ! Maybe give them a uniform . Kept very clean I’ve seen the other cafe and it’s totally different to this one have the owners no interest in this one anymore?

Este es uno de esos pubs a los que te atraen y siempre intento venir cuando estoy en la ciudad. Aunque en el centro de Reading el exterior sencillo probablemente no llame la atención de los transeúntes. Visitado un sábado por la tarde con un grupo de amigos y siempre es interesante echar un vistazo a la selección de cerveza, tanto en grifo como embotellada, antes de decidir qué probar. El área del bar es bastante pequeña, con paredes y techo cubiertos de colchonetas de cerveza, pero hay algunos "apretados" en el pasillo trasero. Hay un área al frente con un par de bancos tipo picnic, un lugar agradable para sentarse cuando el clima es propicio. No se sirve comida, pero noto que tienen huevos encurtidos y patatas fritas!

kate and katie were amazing servers , my friends and i all had an amazing bottomless brunch :)
