Fantastic place! We came here a while back and witnessed a brilliant management of a terrible table of awful people making horrific demands. The staff here navigated it perfectly, despite the unnecessarily nasty review that followed. Anyway- today we popped in and were given fabulously gorgeous service by beautiful Ella (who deserves a pay rise- they all do!) who was very kind to us and wanted to celebrate our upcoming honeymoon in style! We came in last week and I just popped in for some lunch the other day and had to write a review, the owner was so lovely and professional. The staff are well trained and can see well looked after. Highly recommend the food, was fresh and temperature just right, enjoyed a few cocktails on our work outing and heard about a rebrand we are excited !

What an experience we had. Beautifully organised bottomless brunch. From drinks to food. Everything was perfect and it really made our day. Food was delicious as well as the non stop drinks. Staff were lovely and service centre was great too.

I Was over in reading visiting my daughter and was recommended pitcher and piano for bottomless brunch. Well what can I say other than amazing. We were greeted by the most loveliest server who was both professional and so friendly. We were so impressed we went back the following day had the fantastic cocktails. Keep the good work up pitcher and piano as we will definitely be back when we return to reading.

We have our quarterly team meetings here the staff are very accommodating The food is nice polite staff and right price for 10 of us I paid 110 food and drinks.

Shaaks awesome to see front of house representing the diverse Reading community. Makes people feel welcome. I highly recommend.

We hired out Pitcher and Piano for a work event. The service was excellent The manager and staff we very attentive and very polite. The food was excellent. Highly recommended We will defenently book in the future

Great to see Drew back - such a charming fella, shame the make over hasn't happened yet !! We were all looking forward to the relaunch party !! but the ladies of the group were loving the little touch of flowers on the tables, the new menu looks great already know what I will be ordering off the 'Large Plates' !! We all had already eaten before coming in but will definitely be back soon to try the new menu.

We saw this place as we're walking from the station. It looked nice and we checked the lunch time deals. Food was good and tasty. Service was good and attentive.

Staff friendly but place tired and needs a revamp. Sadly not best quality food for the price. Nice to hear the piano but needs to be softly played in the day so you can hear each other speak!

Food was okay, however considering how empty the place was during lunch time taking an hour and a half to get food to our table, along with one of our party just getting the wrong order. Would not recommend this place for food. I could maybe recommend a few very expensive drives whilst you wait for a train. But I would steer clear for buying food

I was served my Monika, she was super friendly with lovely smile, she was very efficient and polite, I would love to be served by her in a future. Food was delicious and atmosphere very friendly.

Run down with TERRIBLE staff attitude. Clearly from training or lack of.

It was dirty. The floors were dusty, the glasses had marks all over them. All but one of the staff we came across were poor. The man who brought our food out kept leaving the restaurant to vape and speak loudly down the phone, right by the front door, in eye (and ear) shot of us. We requested some Ketchup with our meals and he came back just before we'd finished claiming "he hadn't forgotten", whilst proudly setting down 2 pots of mayonnaise, not Ketchup 🙃. Price point and quality of the food was fine, but overall a real shame. Quite scummy to be honest.

Great evening out with a group of 8 friends. Was a rather busy dinner hour but Christina handled it very well, keeping up with communication on how long our wait for food would be. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced (we had a mixture of all the ‘small bites’) can recommend ☺️

Myself & husband enjoyed an evening with great food & drinks but what really makes it special is the lovely people who work there. Christina is an absolute joy, very professional with a lovely warm nature. There was also a really great barman whose name I didn't get but he said he hadn't been working there long. We'll definitely be back soon. Oh and the Karaoke was an added bonus. Thank you.

Friendly staff, great music Drinks are a little more pricey than some other bars but overall it's a great pub to go to.

I and my friend had been served by lovely girl - Shaaks. We just walked in from the street as fancy some lunch. Had a great lunch deal and delicious food. Shaaks and her friend behind the bar also suggested some drinks. They asked as our preferences and customised drinks for us. The food was great but Shaaks’s and the bartender’s service made the time extra special. Thank you x

We had a fantastic bottomless brunch here, would highly recommend. We never had to ask for drinks, Taylor just knew and came over and served us with a smile, also great as adapted our brunch meals accordingly to our preferences. Really couldn't have asked for more. Xxx

Had a lovely bottomless brunch was served by Will. Had a veggie breakfast which was cooked to perfection and Will kept us topped up with Prosecco. Will be coming back very soon!

Really enjoyable afternoon and evening at this establishment. Visiting for one night as have work function in area so collectively around 8 of us went in and kept buying rounds as wasn't bad priced either. We had to pop out for dinner, however upon returning was informed they closing at 9.30. Shame really as we were buying rounds at £30 a go and collectively had another 5 or so to go.. Well ended back in hotel and overall this has a worthy 4/5 in my opinion as it is a really nice, inviting establishment in the area.

We had an excellent lunch enjoyed by my two colleagues and I. Although it was busy we were Served by the lovely Taylor. I can Highly recommend the Dirty Burger. Tastes a lot better than it sounds. Taylor couldn’t do enough for us. First time here but we all enjoyed the friendly banter and will definitely be back on our next Reading Meeting

I dropped in for a quick lunch after a long train journey. The pleasant bartender recommended the steak sandwich, which proved an excellent choice. Perfectly cooked, tender slivers of steak laid on lovely, fresh, crusty baguette. The accompanying fries, though, were mere matchsticks. But nicely washed down with a pint of Brooklyn Pilsner. The venue was reasonably elegant: the faux-brick surfaces shiny and clean. Wooden floor; seats available at all heights. The mushroom-coloured columns, however, have got grubby and need repainting.

Don't really leave reviews but i have made an exception on this occasion, my previous visit to this one the tables were sticky, light bulbs missing and i got the feeling that staff found it a chore to serve me but most importantly the Beer tasted like sheep dip!! so I told myself i would never go back there again, But .............. I recently heard on the grapevine that it had changed hands so i thought I would give it another chance. On Wednesday 24 Jan I popped in after work and WOW what a pleasant surprise, Tables were Clean and all light bulbs were working ha ha its the little things that matter to me. I went to the Bar to order a pint of Beer (Neck Oil) while a man with a beard was taking a tray of drinks to a table (and shock horror) he actually acknowledged me and said good evening i will be with you in a sec, On his return we had a little chat and while he was pouring my pint ( i was thinking please be nice) WOW it tasted amazing 5 star++++++ I will defo be a regular visiter all my customer service boxes were ticked. Well done to the man with the beard, i will get your name on my next visit.

We arrived for our reservation at 1pm but it felt like it wasn’t open for business as no-one was about. Found a member of staff who seemed a bit non-plussed and just said to sit anywhere. We waited 15 mins or so but no-one came to take a drinks order so we went to the bar and ordered there. We then had to get back up to ask for a menu. After 30mins we still hadn’t seen a waiter so went back to the bar to order the food. After another hour we wanted another drink but still no-one came to the table so we went back to the bar again. Wanted to sit by the window but every window had a dirty dust bin right outside it. The lunch was a reunion for old friends. Such a let down.

It was my first visit to the Pitcher and Piano and I was so impressed with the ambience. I was made comfortable with the hospitality shown by Mr Manu, he was very nice and kind!

Alex service always amazing, happy to found him working here , aswell as Tiffany, she brings very good vibes .

I reviewed this pub a 5/5 because the workers here were lovely and very acceptive of everything. The menu fitted my likings and overall i would come here again. Will recommend to others.

Not quite what I expected, it is looking a little dated. That being said we enjoyed our visit. Friendly quick service.

Great service from.Sacha. really looked after us. Great service and really welcoming. Mux up re tables reserved but Sacha sorted this out and provided a suitable alternative. Spent some time telling us about what are the offers and what would be good to eat.

The staff were absolutely phenomenal here. We had a bottomless brunch for 6 of us to celebrate my friends 40th. The staff were incredibly welcoming, great prompt service and made the best Bellini's! The brunch itself was lovely, I thoroughly enjoyed the full english breakfast that I ordered and my friends all enjoyed their brunch burgers they ordered. I would highly recommend the raspberry bellini's. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who looked after us but he was phenomenal and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and the P & P. Sadly we didn't have any cash to tip on the day so leaving this review instead as a thank you and I look forward to visiting again soon.

I booked the pitcher and piano for my wedding reception last month and everything was brilliant Taylor and her team were so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. They allowed me to decorate and set the venue up to fit my needs. They catered the menu around my wants. They supplied us with a DJ who was able to provide karaoke and accommodate our speeches. We received so much positive feedback from our guests about the venue and the food especially the bang bang cauliflower! Having our wedding in a pub was such a good vibe and I would 100% recommend anyone to do it with Pitcher & Piano

We went with my friends to have some cocktails after uni and everything was great. Will was very helpful on making us choose according to our taste while the service was very fast given the fact that it was quite busy. Would recommend and especially Will if you dont know what you want :)

Booked ahead of our Saturday lunch visit for 4 people and sensed there was a problem with food orders as noticed a couple of other tables walked out when they attempted to order. One of our party was disappointed as they were unable to supply their initial food request or drink choice. The rest of us requested burgers, we had to send one meal back because it was charcoaled. To summarise, food just about acceptable, drink a bit pricey, our server was polite and accommodating as best as he was able (apologies I didn’t get your name). Not blown away, wouldn’t rush back.

Decided to revisit this place with a few friends and was greeted by Will the bartender, someone who I recognised had previously served me. As like last time, his service was excellent and his friendly demeanor reminded me of my last experience. Will absolutely come back again, hopefully with time to do some karaoke!

I came in for a little drink before the ireland game. Great staff very attentive with great skill and style, Will was especially attentive great bartender!

10/10 service from Pitcher and Piano Reading, went on a Friday night for drinks with the gyals you know how it is! Loved watching the cocktails get made so professional and aesthetic had to take a pic for the gram! A special thank you to the bartenders that served us, Sacha, Taylor, and Monica, Manu. All the staff have a great work ethic, very smiley and chatty made our night extra special! Also love how the staff get involved with the karaoke 🎤 amazing atmosphere, incredible night!

Great location, friendly atmosphere, although a little music would not go a miss. Very reasonable during the week, extortionate on a weekend.....same drink is nearly £2 dearer!!!

Okish... Mixed crowd but this time of year it's all Christmas so hard to tell. Lol

Visited for cocktails. Bar staff didn't have a clue how to make what they were selling reading off a list behind the counter like first year school science students. Cocktails are sugar syrup loaded with little flavour and are over priced for what they are.

Visited for a bottomless brunch as part of a large group, fantastic friendly service throughout despite lots of drink and food orders. Taylor went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely time, can't fault our experience!

Ordered a half pint of cider, a tia Maria (no ice) and a capochino. They did not have tia Maria but had kahoola. First kahoola was poured over ice, explained I asked for no ice, second attempt was delived in a filthy glass with what the bar man described, when I returned it, as "bar flies" yes actual flies were in the drink and sticking to the side of the glass. Third pour was a success even if it did look like a short measure. Coffee arrived and they did not have brown sugar only white that had lumps caused by using a wet spoon. No biscotti nothing. They poured , and charged for, a pint instead of a half pint but had lost the will to go back by this time. The toilets were filthy and very smelly and the outside sitting area was covered in cigarette ends.
