Ordered a breakfast from them via the too good to go app. OMG for £2.80 you get alot. Absolutely filled me up. Lovely 😍 definitely cooked very well. Definitely getting again. Thank you!

We absolutely love coming here on a Sunday lunch. I finish my working week at lunchtime on Sundays so it is the perfect place to rest with the family for an hour or so as I ease into my weekend and someone else cooks me a delicious lunch. Our kids tuck in to all the veg on offer - and we all eat a hearty roast dinner. It's not fine dining, but neither does it profess to be. It's honest, family grub served at an extremely good price by a team of friendly and professional people who clearly take pride in their work and their welcome. We will of course keep returning, with our thanks.

Great food and service A very warm welcoming from Isla she was very friendly and super helpful when I messed part of our order, she personally sorted it for me and went above and beyond. Suzy was also veru friendly and gave great service, she made sure our meals were good and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely visit again next time we visit legoland

Got there at 2pm, won't be goung back again. Always hit and miss, this time a big miss. I have a video of my wife trying to chop her way through the Yorkshire pudding, and failing. Brussell sprouts like little green cannonballs. Crusty, not crispy roast potatoes. A complete disaster really, the final straw, we won't be back..

My first time here for breakfast I was welcomed with a friendly greeting from Jane who gave me options on using the app or paying at the bar. All the staff were nice and the food was excellent, the only small thing is the coffee was a bit weak lol. Definitely will go again

Really enjoyed my experience here. The staff Isla, Emma and Suzy are really welcoming. There are a rowdy bunch that ruin it for me and they seem to be here everyday.

Ryan - store Manager was very good, had his eye on the ball and encouraged young staff to be proactive. Why I did not give 5 stars is any discount code given should be able to be used on all food at the end of your meal which although I was allowed to have an open tab on this occasion is not the norm - this should change and be allowed always. My barstaff member was very patient while we waited for the App to work and smiley. Well done, will definitely come again

Recently moved to the area and visited for the first time today. The friendly and helpful welcome by the staff set the tone for what was a very enjoyable time. Well done to everyone, but especially to Suzy and Emma who really set a standard that everyone should aspire to. Will definitely go back!

This has become our local go to pub we love it here and visit most evenings staff are great all lovely and friendly we always have a great time when we visit

Attended for dinner tonight the pub smelt really bad. Order food our main course arrived before our starter, no one asked if everything was ok. Restaurant closes at 7.30 which is so early especially for a carvery place, everything ends up going to the ‘too good to go’ boxes bar closes at 9. Didn’t feel welcome, couldn’t wait to get rid of us Pudding didn’t arrive, we had to ask for it and it had some of the custard packaging in it.

We were celebrating our son’s birthday, the staff were very accommodating and helpful especially Ellie and the manager. The food was great as usual and great value. Highly recommended 😊

We hadn’t booked a table & the chap at the front desk was very accommodating. He found a table for us even though they were busy, food was delicious (carvery). Meat melted in your mouth & a lovely range of vegetables. Nice options for vegetarians as well. Will definitely be going again & very good value.

The staff were so lovely, had a great experience with the host and the waitress and the bartender. Interacted with us, made us feel really welcome. Only downside was the length of time queueing for the carvery, this is fine if the carver was trying his best and doing everything as speedy as possible but he was walking around the restaurant for multiple minutes chatting and he wasnt even manning the carvery.

Went for my sister birthday. Food was good and great value for money. What was extra special was how good and friendly the staff are . The Manager was present and talking to all the customers. I'm still trying to work this place out. Food is good. Would go for normal carvery. The big carvery you seem to just get a sausage for an extra £3 or something. But this must be the only Carvery house in the world that closes early on a Sunday!!!!

Good evening Happy Thursday bit wet and damp so having a relaxing evening in just thought I would share popped in to the world upside down Saturday 31st for breakfast with fishing friends once a month catch up Ryan and Ellie gave us a warm welcome and we enjoyed a good breakfast I noticed there was a charity family fun day organised by Isla with Ryan's support and supporting Dementia UK with lots of activities throughout the afternoon and evening for young and old to many to mention just a few thow various games face painting a raffle live bands in the afternoon and karaoke in the evening so popped in around 8pm to find the Pub vibrant and everyone enjoying a good evening the afternoon was also shared by Reading and Charlton fans before and after the game so anyone wondering why the pub has door staff it has to on Match days to fulfil their licensing requirements just wanted to say thank you to Isla and Ryan sometimes I don't think people appreciate the hard work effort and energy that goes in to running a Pub / restaurant but I do know Isla and Ryan both put in a 16 to 18 hr day to pull that off and a nice sum of money was raised for the charity and I'm sure a good days takeings for the pub good job to everyone involved and a spectial thsnky you Isla and Ryan for all your hard work and efforts also a big thank you to smiling Suzy who came in on her day off to give support and has allways had a big smile on her face every time I've visited the pub in the last year allwayes smiling and happy to help everyone keep smiling Suzi and to Danny who was working the Bar Saturday night along with Ryan and Maria I think her name was Maria lastly a shout out to a few of the locals who have allways made me feel welcome since I started popping in a year ago I've enjoyed many good afternoon and evening getting to know everyone who i now call my pub family so thanks to Ant James the kks Matt yum yum all the staff and everyone else who i haven't mentioned just proves the world upside down could be a great community pub with the wright balance of good food beer live sports and some entertainment every now and then thakd Paul

Had an amazing welcome fine Isla the moment we walked in the door, her energy and enthusiasm for her job obvious. She showed us to a table and even came back to tell us we only had a short time before the kitchen closed. We felt very well looked after. The food was good, especially the Calzone which was very different. Isla really made this visit special which is why we are leaving this review and calling her out specifically. We hope she will get some recognition for doing her job so well.

We went for breakfast and it was really good. The server was fantastic, she was really friendly and helpful, she was really great with our two kids as well getting them colouring pages and crayons. Parking wasn't an issue either which made life very easy. Overall great food, great staff and great place to go as a family.

The young lady who served us at the bar was polite and friendly and professional, shame about the young man behind the bar, speaking to friends before customers and slouching across the bar, also Grandaughter's food was left on counter to go cold by person behind the carvery area, and when waiting at the carvery area the same person then just sat there talking to another member of the kitchen staff making me wait for my food, so service a bit slow but the restaurant wasn't full. My daughters flatbread was burnt underneath, they did say they could refund me as it wasn't eaten but I declined. Food ok, female service good, male service a bit poor.

We had breakfast here while we were staying at the Travelodge next door and you couldn’t fault it. The prices were very good for the quality of food and the service was great. The manager who was on shift all 3 times we visited was very nice and helpful (plus we heard him complimenting his staff which was really nice to hear!)

Danny our server was absolutely fantastic! We came in late just before kitchen was closing while there was only two staff on shift, he was absolutely amazing and fit us in while being positive and friendly the whole time! From one hospitality worker to another, he did brilliantly ❤️

We had a pizza party for my 6 year old daughter here today and from start to finish, the staff could not have done more to help. They were so friendly, flexible and the party went really well. The manager is fantastic, as well as staff member Ellie who ran the party - she is worth her weight in gold. A young boy James who works there too is also great! I would thoroughly recommend for either a pizza party, or a meal. Thank you so much!

Went in here with the Oldman for a breakfast , it was help yourself style buffet brekkie, it was last knocking before the food got changed to a carvery for lunch but the food was still nice and fresh and hot , the eggs were not runny like I like em but could of been sat there a while, the bacon and sausages tasted a decent quality and the fried bread was spot on , a decent breakfast , as much as you want for £5.99 + your drink good value

Very delicious food and excellent and friendly service from the staff member called Danny who came to the table on a few occasions to make sure everything was okay and to check if we wanted pudding. The staff at the bar was patient and understanding aswell

We go quite often always great Today though roast potatoes were hard. When I took my disabled son up for more veg and potatoes. Carver tried to make me pay again for a vegi carvery.

They run 50% off on different food items throughout the weekdays which is cherry on cake. Fresh food, good quality and reasonable prices. Could do a little better with interiors though. We stayed in the Travelodge behind , and had evening meal and breakfast in the World Turned Upside down. The evening meal was fine and good value, my only criticism would be that my meal (fish and chips ) arrived around 15 minutes after the rest of the family's, I wonder if they forgot about it. The breakfast served by Rachael Emma and Ellie was first class and we had no complaints about it , all in all and good experience, good value, and we would certainly recommend it.

I visit often for work and social engagements. Isla has been brilliant in terms of customer service, very welcoming and professional. Defo recommend for a little cheeky English pub lunch .

Quite one of the worst pub meals I've ever had in my 65 years. My wife and I ordered a Nacho dish to share, garlic bread, and a burger & wedges. They brought out a child's Nacho dish, so had to get us another one, the burger didn't turn up, and had to be re-ordered, and the garlic bread was the WORST I have ever had - in that they must have shown a garlic clove to a piece of 'bread'. You couldn't taste any garlic at all. How difficult is it to make garlic bread? How can Stonehouse be proud of it? Just REALLY poor. Won't ever be returning, and will avoid any other Stonehouse outlets.

This used to be a great little food outlet, sadly no more. No one guides you on how to order, eventually found out that you had to download an app and order from the app and yet again sadly the app didn't work lots of people walking around with plates in their hands nobody engaging with a customer. Looks to be more of a locals drinkers pub then a food outlet very meagre portions of meat. All of the vegetables needed seasoning gravy so thick you could pull after the war with it sticky tables no love Just give us your money That's how the whole experience left me feeling. Give us your money for substandard product . I'm sure I picked up this nasty cold from there as nobody seem to be cleaning anything The oldest person in the place working must have been 30 at best.

Went here for some lunch with my friend, our server Danny was absolutely brilliant! When we come back we hope to have Danny as our server again!
