I think previous reviews haven’t made the distinction between the Tanhouse Cafe near Newdigate and their other branch, the Tanhouse tea bar at Leith Hill Tower on top on Leith Hill. They are associated but not same place being five miles apart.

Lovely little bike shop. Popped in here to buy a few odds n' ends for my bike. Hard working couple in the shop. Scorching hot day but cool inside and purchased a tasty coffee to takeaway.

The People the Grange support will serve you at your table gaining experience of dealing with customers and handling money. This is an excellent and weel worth suppoting. The tea is served in the Victoriam conservatory. The cost is £6.50 a head for a scone, jam and cream with unlimited tea of coffee. Most enjoyable. The only minor downside is the start time of 2 o'close which for us is far too early 3 o;clock for tea would suit us much better and this is the only point thatwill stop us returning

The Old Crown is a pleasant pub in thev heart of Grest Bookham. It has a large garden where 2 pet rabbits roam freely. They serve good cask ales atba reasonable cost. There iscs food van in front of the pub which changes daily serving a variety of cuisine. Any food purchased from the van can be eaten inside the pub. Friendly and helpful staff

A gorgeous, cosy pub with a lot of history. If you want to sample a traditional pub atmosphere and feel like you could have stepped back in time this is the place for you. Staff were friendly and dealt well with the large number of people waiting to be served.
