I recommend the very affordable and satisfying breakfast, which includes free coffee refills. The bar also offers a great selection of reasonably priced drinks, including many local beers and ciders served from casks. The staff were very friendly. The walls are decorated with interesting posters about local historic buildings and notable people.

No longer a pub - it was closed down months ago and has been undergoing a lot of construction work. There is local talk of it having been purchased some type of medical conglomerate.

We went for one of the midweek roast events and what a disappointment it was. There was a very lukewarm welcome when we arrived and we were directed to the table with a point of the finger. The food was served quickly and just plonked in front of us. There was no asking what we’d pre-ordered so two of us got the wrong meals. This was rectified when we told them. It was hot but was very mediocre. I think my lamb died of old age. I couldn’t cut it, it was that tough. The potatoes were OK, the peas were peas that had once been frozen, carrots overcooked, the gravy was like water, the parsnips were OK and the saving grace was the cheese sauce on the cauliflower/brocolli. The Apple crumble was nice but again just plonked in front of us. The custard was lumpy. How much was all of this? It was a whopping £25 a head without so much as a jug of water on the table. It was daylight robbery. We wont be back.

We are hosting a charity event and popped into Feed Me Seymour to see if they would support by providing a raffle prize for the event. They were really lovely and accomodating and happily donated a voucher for free breakfasts. There were customers in the premises, and the food smelled amazing. Unfortunately we couldn't stop this time but we will definitely be going back for a breakfast in the very near future. Thank you both for your support!

Service staff for dinner were pleasant. Manager was not. Food portions are tasty but so small all of our table told the staff we were still hungry after the main course starter portion. Very overpriced for not a lot. I’ll never go back. Band was fun. We will go see the band elsewhere.

We where not really sure where is good to eat in petersfield, and so just popped in here as on the square and had seats outside ( lovely sunny day) We went to the back garden, which was actually was a bit dull so moved back to the front. ( much nicer) The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The service was fantastic. Lunch was Delicious. The goats cheese salad ( without ham as veggies) was great, and the best chips ever! All in all a good little find

Given that the food within Country Market itself – the butcher, the cheese counter and the vegetables are all wonderful this could have been fabulous - However, apparently this cafe has nothing to do with country market at all. My salad (at over £7) was iceberg lettuce, 2 tasteless tomato's chopped into quarters, and about eight slices of cucumber. And the chicken was extraordinary! It had been cut into square sided wedges like chips and had clearly been cooked and then frozen. It was very cold, watery and the first couple of pieces tasted a bit like fish. Suffice it to say that I left the majority of the quite generous portion. When I ordered I was offered by the wonderful staff to have either mayonnaise or have it as coronation chicken – I suspect that was to hide the reality of the meat (if you can call it that) itself. They have no salad dressing. You can only have mayonnaise or salad cream – unless you want to put the malt vinegar they use for the chips on your salad. Olive oil does not exist and apparently they only use vegetable oil in the kitchen The redeeming feature was the coleslaw which was absolutely lovely – as were the staff. The cakes looked great and the people in there seemed quite happy with their coffee. They don't actually have a salad on the menu so I suspect they normally put the chicken in a baked potato or a sandwich but for those people who can't eat grains a salad was the only option. I was grateful that they made it for me however I think cheese might have been a safer bet! I was so stunned by how truly terrible it was that I didn't even manage to take a photograph – very remiss or you would've seen the state of the chicken! I was sorely disappointed – it was one of the worst meals I've ever eaten. I would've done better to have gone into the shop and bought an avocado, a couple of tomatoes and a piece of cheese! I know for next time!!
