The best restaurants serving British food in Langley Green Crawley South East

Food is nice but you don't get much. They didn't have tofu for the vegan breakfast and it doesn't come with toast, you have to pay extra! What kind of breakfast comes without toast? Madness!

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. The evening was completely spoilt by an arrogant, rude, young waitress who, after failing to engage with us and show us to our table, then refused to serve us and accused me of whistling at her! No real apology from any of the staff or management for her misunderstanding and the usual condescending reply from 'customer service'. To top it off the meal wasn't great although edible and the 'hot' pudding was still frozen inside.

Each time we stay at Premier Inn at Gatwick's North Terminal, we have dinner in-house at Thyme Restaurant as it is far more convenient than going elsewhere or suffering the limited, bad-valued terminal food. This time we booked out dinner slot as soon as we checked-in. for 5pm. From experience, if you simply show up you can expect to be accommodated in the restaurant after 9pm as they are always crazy busy. We had a meal deal. We hadn't realised that kids eat free breakfast so it's better to just pay the menu price for kids' food. Our extras with drinks totaled another £30 but that was okay. The meal deal is something to seriously consider as £30 per person for a dinner may not be worth it if you don't ordinarily order 2 courses. We don't usually have an appetiser so it turned out to be not good value for us as our mainstay is usually a fish n' chips. The food was fine. But what stood out to us was the service. Mandalin, our server, was on-point and provided exceptional, attentive service! Thanks to him, our meal went from okay to amazing!

Visited recently with a group of four, and while I have to say the service inside was excellent—friendly, attentive staff and a really nice atmosphere—the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a £100 parking fine we all received for a visit that lasted just about an hour. Most expensive four pints ever! None of the staff mentioned anything about needing to register our car or pay for parking, and after looking into it online, it seems this is a common issue at this location. All four of us in the group were fined, so it doesn’t seem like a one-off or user error. It’s a real shame, because it puts people off coming back, no matter how good the service is. Would strongly recommend the management look into this and make the parking situation clearer or more user-friendly—especially if it’s causing this many problems.

Firstly, the host was very reluctant to seat me at a table and would have preferred me to sit at the high bar - I'm in my 70s and there were plenty of gree tables. My scrambled eggs arrived very promptly but as others have said, the toast was very hard and as the eggs were on top, I found it very difficult to butter. However, there was so much pepper on top of the eggs most of it was inedible. No one came near to check all was OK and I really regret I didn't say anything but it was 6.30am and I was very tired.

Have ordered from here about six or seven times. The food is very hit and miss. The portions are inconsistent, as are the temperature and quality. Ordered the chicken strips one time and they were great. So we reordered them a month later and the strips were much smaller. Have ordered the large cod a few times and each time, it was over cooked on one side. The chips are hit and miss in terms of temperature and quality. I’d rather drive to Pound Hill to the Master Fryer even though I live in Langley Green. It’s a shame as the owner and the staff are always nice. But then I don’t go there for the atmosphere….

Ordered food the waitresses were great, the food was good, quite a lot of choice on the menu, overall a very enjoyable meal.

A family sunday lunch with teenage kids. Plenty of parking, friendly welcome and service and good quality food and choice from the carvery. Would recommend for the great value and we'll be going again!

Possibly the worst quality food ever seen at any Wetherspoons. Granted i did not complain at the time due to time constraints and no wish to embarrass my business partner but after complaining online a week later, received a stock email saying they would do nothing to rectify the situation.

Arrived at Wetherspoons Gatwick South Terminal for breakfast at 4am only to be told no coffee available!! Unbelievable🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Went for dinner with a friend / colleague we had the absolute pleasure of being served by Lux during our visit, and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. Lux made us feel welcomed and comfortable, was attentive without being overbearing. The level of professionalism and genuine care she provided made our meal unforgettable. If you're lucky enough to have Lux as your waitress, you're in for a nice experience. Highly recommend!

I forgot to write a review and I just remembered as I was going through my wallet and saw the Jamie's Coffee Lounge review card. I went to Gatwick last year, I think it was August or September time. I had a nice pesto and mozzarella sandwich, I think, my mom had a coffee. Our staff that day were Kristina and Lucia, many thanks to them for a nice service and their positive attitude, very much appreciated. My sandwich was delicious and my mom enjoyed her coffee. All is good despite the prices, good old London haha.
