I forgot to write a review and I just remembered as I was going through my wallet and saw the Jamie's Coffee Lounge review card. I went to Gatwick last year, I think it was August or September time. I had a nice pesto and mozzarella sandwich, I think, my mom had a coffee. Our staff that day were Kristina and Lucia, many thanks to them for a nice service and their positive attitude, very much appreciated. My sandwich was delicious and my mom enjoyed her coffee. All is good despite the prices, good old London haha.

Up all night due to EasyJet doing what EasyJet do. No taxis for love or money so thank you Jamie’s for being open at daft o’clock, providing a clean, safe environment, serving great coffee & having phone charging facilities. Greatly appreciated.

Poor selection of food. Ham & cheese toast was still cold inside, so asked for it to be reheated, only for it to come out slightly burnt. Hot lettuce in a tuna melt is not particularly appetising. Service was unfriendly. I had to pay £13.50 for the privilege of 2 poor sandwiches - disgraceful.

I was very disappointed by the quality of the coffee. The latte was watery and weak and tasted like Americano. I will not be coming back.

The waitress didn’t say hello, then we asked for 2 decaf espresso, she used one dose for 2 cups, coffee was lukewarm and useless to say very weak. She argued that it the way caffee are made in this shop. I argued back and eventually got my money back. We left.

Worst coffee ever! I was kicking my heels at the airport and dropped in for a coffee. I thought Jamie’s name might mean quality, but honestly I was served a cup of boiling hot milky water, rather than a smooth flat white. Awful experience.

8am in the morning and both bins are overflowing. Tables not wiped... they really need someone on the floor. Asked for an Earl Grey tea and was given English Breakfast.

Friday 13th August 2021 not a great day to travel and even a worst day to get something to eat from Jamie’s. Latte coffee, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin. Latte coffee was great but the pain au chocolate tastes like they used Nutella and very stale. I only managed two bites of the pain au raisin because it was so stale perhaps it should if been called brick au raisin. Both pastries came in separate bags and they were extremely oversized and nearly a carrier bag? They did offer to replace the pastries but with more stale pastries. I politely refused and walked out disgusted My suggestion- use the other one as the coffee is just as good in a China cup and all is made fresh each day

We don't mind senpding a few quid when it comes to eating and drinking out. However, Jamie's coffee at Gatwicks North Terminal requires a re mortgage. £3 + for a 20p Danish and £2+ for a very small (200ml) carton of juice from an obscure source. More greed than profit.

Expensive price for a luke warm weak excuse for a cappuccino and Americano in a paper cup. Captured market. Know I am back in rip-off Britain. Shame on you, Jamie

Ordered a large black coffee, what I got was a small coffee, tipped into a large cup and topped up with hot water and charged £3.10. Weak is not the word, more like fraud. Paying for a large cup and not getting one. Do your self a favour and go to the one next door.

Just treated as a cash cow if this place was in the high street it would make no money. Poor service attitude from staff and bangra music blasting out. A sausage bun and coffe not worth £9. The only reason this place makes money is it on North Terminal at Gatwick

Having checked my bags in very early in the morning I decided to grab a bite to eat and a coffee from this cafe! I wrongly assumed their bakery items would at least be fresh but my pain au chocolate was so stale it was difficult to eat! Extremely disappointing when the bill for that and a coffee came to nearly £7!! I expected better for those prices and won’t be going again!

Travelling from Gatwick Airport heading home, bags checked in and time to spare. Fancy a coffee? yes i did. OMG what a mistake that was.I was the only person at the counter but the male and female staff members felt it was more important for them to continue looking up entries in some book. it was only a few minutes but why?Then he handed me this tiny little cup that literally sat in the palm of my hand and then when he told the price I was just shocked. I've never paid so much for so little.never again!

It really comes to something when the coffee served on the plane is better than this terrible place!!

Only had a snack and coffee. Coffee is weak and tastes cheap, even with and extra shot.I had a toasted cheese sandwich which was tasteless. My wife had the egg mayo bagel which was stale. The 2 desserts we had were thrown away part eaten as they were stale. All this crap for £23. Rip iff

Judge a coffee shop by it’s black Americano. It was good coffee. And their small cups can be composted. Nice touch.

£5 for a little can of beer is an outrage. As Gatwick hardly has any shops anymore I think it's disgusting that this place thinks it can charge this amount for a tiny drink. Hang your head in shame Jamie

Couldn’t have the size coffee I wanted as wrong size cups - ! No skimmed milk- no apology or alternative offered :( coffee ok staff need better training!

My god that was the worse coffee we had in our lives, never again.....and expensive....what a waste of money....

You don’t get good value food in an airport, I get that. We are a captive audience and everywhere is expensive so you come to expect that your Costa or Burger King or even Boots sandwich meal deal is more expensive than the high street. What I can’t stand however is the combination in a place where the price is extortionate by comparison and the product so appalling that the only explanation is that someone has said ‘we can make a massive profit by overcharging for garbage, and we’ll stick Jamie Oliver’s name on it for an extra few % to get people through the tills’. Greasy, tasteless food and drink (americano, latte, tuna panini, ham and cheese toastie and ham and cheese croissant all failed just in case you think this review was slamming the whole place on the back of one bad sandwich) served by disinterested staff. For a well known chef sourcing the finest ingredients etc to have his name associated with this is a disgrace frankly, and I say that having actually quite liked Jamie’s Italian. Stay clear of this one.

Stood at the counter for 5 minutes watching the staff chat a mere 3 feet away, ignoring all of us waiting at the counter.

Awful , the worst coffee I’ve paid for , Jamie you should be ashamed to put your name to this rubbish , as far away from Italy you could get .

Firstly, I can’t believe you can’t get bacon sandwich or some toast anywhere in Gatwick airport after 11:00am. So we were left we no option other than to come to Jamie’s so my husband could have a sausage and onion bap, which was pathetic. There was one over cooked sausage and a fragment of onion in a brioche bun. It wasn’t worth £4.99, it wasn’t filling and my husband felt ripped off.

Had coffee at Jamies at Gatwick in North Terminal. The coffee needed more coffee in it - it was in a very large cup and had only one shot of coffee - it tasted as if it had no coffee in at all. Terrible value - my husband got our money back.

Went to Gatwick Airport, North terminal early evening to grab a quick bite to eat. Very disinterested staff. Ordered toasted cheese sandwich - far too expensive and have a look at the photo. Come on Jamie - stop blaming Brexit for your failures and check out what your restaurants are serving!

Sorry to be a whinge Jamie but these lot in here aren’t working together, it’s chaos! 5 people working behind the counter individually rather than as a team.

Looked good & quite funky Staff are friendly & helpful. A limited number of cakes & pastries Coffee....appalling even though it has 2 shots of espresso....no flavour!

I stopped to get a sandwich and drink. The sandwich was terrible made to look like it had lots of filling, but once opened it was an illusion with nothing in it but a lettuce leaf and small piece of ham arranged along the open edge. The worse thing was the service, th e staff were more interested in having a chat to each other than serving the people waiting. I will not be back and recommend against this place. Walk down one more level and there a lot more options.

We stopped in here for a light breakfast. Their fridge display is filled with sandwiches, wraps, rolls and a good variety of grab-n-go food items.

Sitting here at 3.30am in July. Looking around people have hoodies and coats on because it’s so cold in the coffee bar. Just bought two coffees and a sausage in a roll - came to £12. No wonder the place is half empty. Un comfortable eating/drinking environment coupled with expensive prices for mediocre standard food.

First arrived and queried the price of a croissant with ham and cheese as there was no price shown. The guy behind the counter proceeded to warm it up and I explained again I merely wanted the price. He could hardly speak English. The coffee was terrible. When I complained they shrugged their shoulders. Expensive price for watered down coffee. Need to go back to Portugal for decent coffee. The coffee there is amazing!

Coffee apalling one girl working hard the other two standing around nattering and generally lowering the tone of anything that could have been good tatty seating no wonder Jamie Oliver is closing down

Overpriced everything and nothing great ,this does not represent Jamie at all !!! Sorry but you can now get better value and food in the Costa a floor below and coffee is much better right next to M&S; below also ....that’s my choice !

The place is filthy and the coffee is atrocious, it is just bitter black water. Awful, awful, awful.

Good choices for the early traveler having passed through security. While efficient service, staff could have been friendlier.

Popped into here after a long tiring flight back from Tenerife, this was the only place open to get food beside the breakfast bap place. Opted for the meal deal; sandwich/baguette, crisp/fruit and drink for £6. Bought a baguette, fruit and drink and it came to over £9, daylight robbery! Baguette wasnt even that nice. Would never come here again, need to sort there prices out and fillings in bread products.

Arrived late at night and decided to try based on the wonderful Jamie Oliver.

Difficult to know where to start! The staff were totally disinterested in serving, clearing tables, emptying bins etc. The latte was awful and the cheese toastie was disgusting only toasted on one side, plastic cutlery but no plates. I would expect a much higher standard from a venue called a coffee lounge and as for Jamie Oliver he needs to pay a visit to this grossly over priced possession of his.

Overpriced, over-hyped and utterly disappointing. My 9 year old commented that the microwaved cheese sandwich on Easyjet tasted better than Jamie's "ultimate cheese toastie"......as said before, chatty, lazy staff who were more concerned with how they looked.

I do not see why there are such negative reviews of this place.

Rarely have I seen staff so unengaged and disinterested in what they are doing. Coffee thrown together, ordered it with an almond croissant that way inedible due to un-cooked centre. The whole place was a huge disappointment. Just wanted a good coffee in a comfortable environment, but sadly they couldn’t manage to provide that.

We were very early, and our check in desk was not to open for 30 mins so a coffee the order of the early morning. Coffee ok nothing special. Costa seems to win with me, not the most inspiring place, as it's in the concourse.

We used this coffee bar recently at Gatwick, whilst checking in. It wasn't particularly busy, but the service was poor. We ordered coffee, pastries, and toasted sandwiches. The coffee and toasted sandwiches came reasonable quickly, but it took them between 5 minutes to provide us with the pastries, despite them being on display! I had to ask 3 times! And when we got them the order was incorrect, and we weren't given enough! By the time we had noticed we were through security. Poor management and organisation!

Some meals are reasonable and there are decent take away salads. The staff are above average for this area.

Ordered 4 coffees and after 5 minute wait only 3 were made. Asked politely about 4th and was told it was my fault and would have to go to back of the queue to reorder it!

We had pizza & coffee, was lovely. One of the only places that you can sit down before checking bags in. As long as you keep ordering, you can stay.

Went hear before my flight back to Canada. Was standing out counter waiting to order. Finally the counter lady tells me I have to wait on other side. No sign. This is an airport coffee shop, not a place people goto daily. So 10 minutes later order the coffee. Should note it wasn't busy. So then I order a coffee and a mochaccino. The Barista decides to pick a fight with me. Instead of saying oh you mean mocha, I will make you a mocha. He just kept arguing no such thing as a mochaccino. After 5 minutes of arguing and a clearly raging barista the order has been made. Waited 5 minutes and then there was only 1 coffee. I said I am waiting for the other one. The barista decided to pick another fight. He argued he made 2 coffees. I kept saying there is only one here. He said he made 2. At this point my husband come up seeing me upset. And now its 3 of us arguing. Now everyone in the coffee shop is looking at us. I said I want my coffee it isn't my problem someone else took it. We told the security guards we wanted our coffee we paid for. Finally after 15 minutes gone and I got my coffee. Tasted so sweet I had to mix half of my coffee who had an Americano. My husband likes his coffee strong and black, but it was too strong for him. So we mixed our coffees together to make them drinkable. By then we were just in shock after this whole ordeal. Worst experience at a coffee shop or any business in my entire life. It was traumatic. Travelling can be stressful, especially in a foreign country. The last thing travellers need are rude combative staff. I mean you expect customs officers to be rude, but customs staff are polite and friendly. That barista is the rudest staff person I have ever met. This wasn't just catching a guy on a bad day. This is a guy who should never and I mean never have any contact with the public!! This coffee shop deserves a negative 5 stars!

I got to Gatwick Airport around 12am and in the North Terminal this was one of the only few places open. My flight was at 5am but security opened around 2pm I decided that I needed a place to rest, charge my phone and make sure I was ready for my upcoming flight. The only reason I came to Jamie's Italian was to grab a quick bite to eat and get a drink, it luckily had seating and was nearly empty. I see why now.

Unfortunately there are not many places to eat on this side of the airport terminal however the coffee was nice just the food was very overpriced abd nothing special, sandwiches had minimal filling

I visited for a piece of cake to take away. There was no queue and lots to choose from. I decided on the Victoria Sandwich.

Slow service by uninterested staff who served weak coffee in a lounge that is not a lounge and the snacks are awful. Overpriced and nasty use one of the other many places at the terminal

Had sausage and onion bap to take away, what a mistake, so dry and lacking any flavour. With a captive audience in an airport I would expect better. Total pants.

2x BLT and 2 coffees cost over £16 with soggy lettuce that tasted of vinegar, stale bread, definitely the worst BLT I've ever had...only consolation was the coffee was good.

Wanted a quick coffee and a snack having dropped my son off at the airport. Coffee was so weak I couldn’t convince myself there was actually any coffee in it. The “ultimate” cheese and ham toastie covered my shirt in grease as I bit into it. Never mind napkins they should provide bibs.

We popped into here to get a quick bit of breakfast before an early morning flight. To say that the staff were slow is being overly generous.

Looks the part in Gatwick North Terminal but was a disappointment - not for the first time Jamie did not live up to the hype!

This is a small area with simple tables and chairs on the Departures area of an airport. It is open to the area: 'lounge' is pretentious. The coffee was OK. The croissant was so-so. The service was poor. Tables not cleared and wiped, drinks handed over to the wrong people, no one seemed to be be managing the process.

We decided to have a quick coffee and croissant and they were disgusting. The almond croissant was dry and stale while the choclate croissant tasted of LARD . These are the worst I have ever tasted.

Having checked in our luggage we always go for a coffee and a danish before flying and chose Jamies Coffee Lounge. Sadly, the tables were dirty, the floor was dirty, the pain au raisin was dry and not fres, not a great experience.

Latte is just not within expectations , pretty pricey 2.65 Gbp for an average cuppa. But it's a nice place to chill, charging phones, taking some pictures and the novelty of being at Jamie's cafe .

Service very hit and miss, breakfast over-cooked, dry and average quality. Coffee good with free refills. Would suggestr Nandos next door is a better option.

Good quality coffee and snacks but the busyness means staff are not always able to clear and clean tables adequately so the eating area looks a little the worse for wear. But it is convenient and I would go back.

Coffee in polystyrene cups. Victoria sandwich 3 layers of dry crispy cake the only good thing is the jam and very expensive best avoided. Coffee ok but can’t offer skimmed milk. Jamie mad to put his name to this. (Who ever Jamie is) surely not Oliver

I really expected more from a food outlet associated with Jamie Oliver, the sandwiches were basic, and the coffee tasted bitter as though it had stewed. I don't usually have sugar in drinks (only when coffee is bitter) I had to add 3 sugar just...

£26 down and threw most of the food away. Sandwich with poached chicken with cajun spices, succulent avocado and cherry tomatoes was a mush with spice in, could not detect chicken and it had one tiny piece of avocado! Would not re-visit this cafe.

We had a latte each and it was lovely! Surrounding were nice and cosy too. We didn't eat here but cakes looked lovely

OMG I cant believe this coffee shop. The coffee was bitter and the cakes we had were hard as if they had been in a fridge for days. Then there was the rubbish everywhere bins overflowing and you couldn't find a table without rubbish on...

Two cardboard sandwiches! My wife returned hers, and the manager didn't offer a replacement sandwich, but instead offered a toastie. He must have known the sandwiches were all well out of date. Jamie should get down there and sort it out or take his name...

I purchased today at 'Jamie's' what can only be described as the most miserable, tragic excuse for a bacon roll that I have ever been served anywhere on the planet so far. The bacon snapped shockingly when it was bitten, it's texture like I imagine...

We always drop by here if we are in North Terminal. Nice breakfasts and pre flight cafe fare. Like the open plan and staff are usually quite good

We were too early for bag drop so called in for a glass of wine. Very poor choice of 1 served in a tiny plastic drinking vessel and criminally, the wine was warm. Reasonably priced by airport standards but so it should have been for...

Very poor choice of savory food snacks, coffee awful, my wrap was the worst I have tasted, staff need custom service training . many dirty tables .Other places are much better that I have been to, But the display fitting are nice .

Went here for a quick Coffee as I was staying in the Premier Inn and I wanted a good coffee :) but what I got was Bitter Coffee :(.

Wanted to find a Prêt a manger but they were all after security. On Jamie’s coffe Gatwick airport north we found sandwiches and wanted to have a nice cup of green tea to go with them but they didn’t have any green tea. My husband had a latte wich was ok. The sandwiches was ok too.

Back from a flight and with a two hour drive journey ahead of us, we stopped at Jamie’s for a bite. The hot food options were dismal. I asked for my Cajun chicken sandwich to be heated up. What I got was a mushy sandwich, with the lettuce inside all soggy. Ruined the taste.

Visited for a quick coffee and a bite to eat yesterday after dropping someone off for their flight. where to begin, the girl who served us was barking orders left right and centre at her colleagues without so much as a please or thank you, the worst attitude i have ever seen in a workplace, I felt sorry for the poor girl, (roxanne?) who was manning the toaster as i believe were one of my colleagues to speak to me like that i would have walked off shift, serious staff training required. The food we received was burnt, mine to such an extent that i had to return mine as it was inedible and i asked for my money back. The only redeeming quality was the managers dealing with of the complaint, almost as though this is a common factor in her job. Along with all this it was quite possibly the worst latte i have ever been served.

Awful... having been one of J.O's customers for many years in his restaurants I am so disappointed that he would even be associated with this - it is simply a cash cow for his brand. So many issues, which some may be partly excused for the time of day ( early morning) but hey, if you are open you really should maintain standards no matter what time of day or night. Service was quite slow even though there was 3 people behind the counter - coffee was acceptable but really no better than I could have taken myself in a flask. Between 3 of them I would have expected one of them to manage to pick up a cloth and wipe over some of the tables or clear them of rubbish - sadly this was obviously not on their itinerary. Add onto that the actual condition of the furniture, where big lumps have been torn off the corners of the padded seating.... All in all a sad excuse for a coffee outlet, and even sadder that someone as successful as he is, is proud to have his name plastered all over it - I suppose that is the only way of getting the footfall because it sure is not the decor or the quality of the coffee.....very poor !!! Fortunately I am not a regular user of the north terminal if I was I would avoid at all costs. When returning a week later I used Costa coffee - say no more !!

coffees were good, just a bit pricey which is expected as its at the airport.

The only thing good was the service, as for the food - I wish I had made sandwiches and brought them from home. We will never ever go back here again. If you are desperate, try dialing for a pizza, you will then hopefully eat with a smile on your face. I maybe being unkind, as i have never been to a Jamie Oliver eatery of any kind before, perhaps this is what you get and I just chose badly.

after ordering a couple of drinks here i went into the public toilets near to this coffee lounge and a male member of staff came out of a cubicle and walked straight out without washing his hands ...i told my partner and she left her drink and came away as did i....in this day and age i find this very disturbing ...are the staff taught hygiene rules....i dont think so ...its disgraceful.....

We were stuck here for 2 hours from midnight waiting for security / departures to open.... pleasantly surprised at the prices and quality of the coffee and service. A step up from some airport coffee lounges in my opinion

I went to the airport in July with my partner. Had few spare minutes so went for coffee to Jamie's. OMG what a disappointment. I did not even thought you can actually do such bad service below minimum level in such a place but this place proved me wrong. we asked for small two capuchinos and received cold coffee with milk (more milk then anything else), I asked for small size and been given medium. Where do they get the staff from as none know what they doing? Need lot of training on customer service and how to make proper coffee. Most of the tables that day was left with half drank coffee. How can you be so blind not to see the obvious. Will never go there again I am afraid. Business in such a nice place but with not experienced supervision.

We were at Gatwick airport on 26th july. bought 2 baps. bacon, sausage and ham croissant. only one strip of bacon on bread. nothing else, same with sausage and ham. each cost us £4.00 and each bap was 3 inches diameter. my wife got food poisoning from the sausage she runs a salon and had to cancel all her appointments for 27th. very expensive experience. not eating at jamie's coffee again. i know we had a choice and saw the prices but in a hurry and did not have time for searching or waiting.
