The best restaurants serving British food in Langley Green Crawley South East

Each time we stay at Premier Inn at Gatwick's North Terminal, we have dinner in-house at Thyme Restaurant as it is far more convenient than going elsewhere or suffering the limited, bad-valued terminal food. This time we booked out dinner slot as soon as we checked-in. for 5pm. From experience, if you simply show up you can expect to be accommodated in the restaurant after 9pm as they are always crazy busy. We had a meal deal. We hadn't realised that kids eat free breakfast so it's better to just pay the menu price for kids' food. Our extras with drinks totaled another £30 but that was okay. The meal deal is something to seriously consider as £30 per person for a dinner may not be worth it if you don't ordinarily order 2 courses. We don't usually have an appetiser so it turned out to be not good value for us as our mainstay is usually a fish n' chips. The food was fine. But what stood out to us was the service. Mandalin, our server, was on-point and provided exceptional, attentive service! Thanks to him, our meal went from okay to amazing!

So hotel is fine, basic but great and convienient we were greeted by friendly receptionist and booked in , no issues parked the car went to the restaurant and then we met Giovanna who is apparently “the manager” I had the katsu curry and said that the curry sauce was very sparse and asked if it was possible to have a small additional amount, Giovanna said that she was willing to charge me for an extra “sachet “ I mean I know it’s not fine dining but a sachet on some nuggets surely you could do better…how lucky was I .. we declined her offer…My partners meal arrived minus the coleslaw, when it came to the bill I told Giovanna that we would request the cost of the coleslaw back as she had suggested we paid for the additional curry sauce we thought that fair. We told Giovanna her staff had been amazing she said she trained them all, we later discovered this was untrue she had actually just showed them around Giovanna was rude and obnoxious and is in no way a manager of any level, carried by an overworked unappreciated staff she hides away tries to cream credit which she does not deserve and leaves a bitter taste which is just slightly worse than the microwaved offerings on the flip side our server Anita was amazing we would visit again just for her service and smile and many of the other staff work with her, Anita is an exceptional example of excellent service we told Giovanna she could learn a lot from Anita… she sniffed and looked down her nose needless to say the cost the cost of the missing coleslaw was added to the tip and went straight to Anita’s tip, look out for her Anita is a star .. Visited recently with a group of four, and while I have to say the service inside was excellent—friendly, attentive staff and a really nice atmosphere—the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a £100 parking fine we all received for a visit that lasted just about an hour. Most expensive four pints ever! None of the staff mentioned anything about needing to register our car or pay for parking, and after looking into it online, it seems this is a common issue at this location. All four of us in the group were fined, so it doesn’t seem like a one-off or user error. It’s a real shame, because it puts people off coming back, no matter how good the service is. Would strongly recommend the management look into this and make the parking situation clearer or more user-friendly—especially if it’s causing this many problems.

Firstly, the host was very reluctant to seat me at a table and would have preferred me to sit at the high bar - I'm in my 70s and there were plenty of gree tables. My scrambled eggs arrived very promptly but as others have said, the toast was very hard and as the eggs were on top, I found it very difficult to butter. However, there was so much pepper on top of the eggs most of it was inedible. No one came near to check all was OK and I really regret I didn't say anything but it was 6.30am and I was very tired.

Ordered food the waitresses were great, the food was good, quite a lot of choice on the menu, overall a very enjoyable meal.

My favourite chippy in Crawley well worth a trip to Langley Green Food is great especially the chicken, chunky chips burgers etc. Staff are all really friendly. The place has the feel of an old fashioned local community chippy with first class modern service. Always come back here

A family sunday lunch with teenage kids. Plenty of parking, friendly welcome and service and good quality food and choice from the carvery. Would recommend for the great value and we'll be going again!

Possibly the worst quality food ever seen at any Wetherspoons. Granted i did not complain at the time due to time constraints and no wish to embarrass my business partner but after complaining online a week later, received a stock email saying they would do nothing to rectify the situation.

Went for dinner with a friend / colleague we had the absolute pleasure of being served by Lux during our visit, and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. Lux made us feel welcomed and comfortable, was attentive without being overbearing. The level of professionalism and genuine care she provided made our meal unforgettable. If you're lucky enough to have Lux as your waitress, you're in for a nice experience. Highly recommend!

I forgot to write a review and I just remembered as I was going through my wallet and saw the Jamie's Coffee Lounge review card. I went to Gatwick last year, I think it was August or September time. I had a nice pesto and mozzarella sandwich, I think, my mom had a coffee. Our staff that day were Kristina and Lucia, many thanks to them for a nice service and their positive attitude, very much appreciated. My sandwich was delicious and my mom enjoyed her coffee. All is good despite the prices, good old London haha.
