The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Absolutely love this place! It's just so comfortable, we visit almost weekly. The food is great & the staff are just gorgeous! Always so friendly & helpful (special shout out to Callum, Charmaine & Sophie!). We even had Christmas Dinner here last year & it was perfect. Booking this year for their Festive Menu for the whole family as I know they won't let us down. Well worth signing up to their Bonus Club too. 500 points gets you a free bottle of wine! What's not to like?!

Great service from Debbie, and good food as always. If you're looking for a cost worthy meal with a view, The Beach is the place to go. Thank again guys and gals!!

Super friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful, reasonably priced food and very dog friendly. With a separate dog menu to order from.Barney loved his rump steak! Sadly, no picture as he practically inhaled it! Would definitely return if ever back in the area.

The waitress was rude who showed us the table. My burger wasn't cooked in the middle despite having told the waiter! Will not be visiting again. This used to my favourite restaurant bringing my family such a shame!!!.

Went for breakfast twice and drinks on and off as we were stopping just around the corner. Food took an age to come out and was mildly warm. Nice though - just cold. Drinks cheap. Service hit & miss at the bar. Some really dodgy smelly people queuing to get in at 0800. But we were in at 0800 as well so not judging at all. It's a Wetherspoons. Some better than others. This is one of the not better ones.

Myself my mum brother and sister in law have just been for food the restaurant is so lovely and welcoming the lady who served us was so friendly and kind she couldn't do enough for us the food is cooked to perfection it's hot and full of flavour I would recommend the same yet inn to anyone.

Very nice food and nice wine. Very good service. White bate highly recommended! Very comfortable seating and eating area. Would recommend to go for a meal!

Did not stay at the hotel which looks very nice, except for all the flies in the pub down stairs. No really, sat down to watch the England, Ireland game, supposed to be 22 players on the pitch, looked like 32 with the 10 extra flies on tje tv screen! I asked the manager, who was a lovely woman, is this normal? She said yes. I asked for fly spray but she said no with all the other customers, but i can move. We couldn't move because we were watching the game. Need pest control desperately.

We have eaten here a few times and the lack of consistency always leaves you wondering what the experience will be like this time. The last time my mum ate here, they tried to charge her for a more expensive meal than the one she'd actually had. Three of us came for lunch on Monday and it was very quiet, so we expected the service to be good. We were sadly disappointed. The service began okay enough but declined rapidly. The food was nice but the time we had to wait for our main course (three pizzas) was far too long. We then waited a while for someone to come to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee so that we could ask for the bill. There were only a couple of other tables occupied but the waitresses seemed to prefer standing by the bar having a chat, rather than providing good customer service. Very disappointing.

Warm and welcoming with open fires. Excellent food and beer. Friendly and helpful staff particularly Darryl who went the extra mile to ensure that we had a great time

Steak ciabbatas awful. Steak tough and sinewy, no taste. Onions should have been caramelised to at least have some taste. The price was far too much for the meals we received. Disappointing.

Stayed at the Premier Inn for 3 nights with breakfast here and dinner one night. All food was good and service from Krystal was friendly and efficient.

Went for the first time yesterday, a treat for my birthday, decided on carvery. Never again, food was appalling, soggy roasts very fatty beef and all food was like warm as though it had been out for hours, I complained and the reply was, sorry you didn't enjoy your visit. I would not recommend this place for food.

good food for the price sadly the starters where slightly over cooked but mains where good nice hunters chicken and my burger spot on sadly had to leave the chips as i personally dont like frozen chips place was nice clean and warm all the staff very friendly will go again if ever in the area

When will this place start to get it right. Scroll through all the reviews and the response is always the same - but nothing ever happens. By now I’d expect far better quality food and better prices for it. Either that or shut up shop
