The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Qué pérdida que no he visitado este bistró antes. la comida, el servicio, etc es único y merece 5 estrellas. Como podrán apreciar en Liverpool estamos mimados con muchos restaurantes pero a muchos les falta ese ambiente personal Soy quisquillosa y sin intención perfeccionista a la hora de comer fuera pero esta noche he encontrado uno de los mejores. Sinceramente si no lo has probado reserva calidad, servicio y el ambiente acogedor no te decepcionará 👏

Was in the area for the first time and stopped in. Me, my mum and her old friends who were visiting from over seas all were blown away by the warm atmosphere and beautiful views of the park all around. The restaurant is beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and polite. We stopped for a coffee and ended up staying for lunch! Couldn’t resist after seeing what was coming from the kitchen! If you’re ever in the area I couldn’t recommend this place enough - food was delicious, menu has great options and the service was excellent. And a kind thank you to the lovely welsh woman who served us, we felt very looked after. PS - the loos were also spick and span !😊

Had a lovely meal last night. Wife had fish pie, I had bellypork and we shared a cheese board. The service was exceptional. I have to say the bellypork was the best I've ever had and I've had alot. The salt topped crackling was to die for. In the words of Arnie "I'll be back!"

Really fresh and tasty - quick service with attention but not too pushy - good music and vibe too - well presented and good levels of staff

From the minute we entered to the minute we left we had an extremely positive experience. We were served by angela - who couldn’t do anything more for us. Her customer services was excellent and she was a very welcome person. Also, we were served by the lovely Sofia who again, made our time there comfortable and welcoming. The food was delicious and was everything we asked for. I would highly recommend paying a visit and we will definitely be visiting again! Thank you Riva Team ❤️

Amazing place in a stunning environment. Hospitality and food couldn’t be faulted. Such a friendly team. Definitely is on my “favourites list” ( and it was the third friend I introduced to the Eatery to, who also found it delightful 🙏) Thank you for having us 🙏🙏

Excellent meal, couldn’t fault it. Staff were friendly and polite. Food is superb. We went in on their pie night and it was very busy, service was great and food was fantastic. Highly recommend!

I love going into the Prince of wales, such a great atmosphere and always feel welcome and at home, service is great and always fast

Fabulous little find (twinned this with a visit to see the village which was the finding for the fable of the 'Croglin Vampire'). A good choice of ales, very attentive service and Sunday Lunch was amazing. (As good as, if not better than some other pricier hotel options that you can find within Cumbria and Northumberland).

Lovely food and cakes. Coffee done the right way

Beautiful lunch at the White Hare Cafe. I had the red lentil soup and the cheese scone and my wife had one of three traditional Ploughman's Lunches. Both meals were tasty, fresh and really well presented. The cheeses were to die for! The cafe itself was the perfect mix of quirky and traditional with lovely potential gifts on sale and a fabulous bird cafe en route to the bathroom. Sparkling clean and extremely welcoming. And an excellent pudding menu :) You have to go there. We'll be back!

This lovely cafe has the Best food , always very fresh , lots of it , and although very busy at lunch( due to its great reputation), they prepare the food in super quick time , it’s service and staff are second to none , always giving you a warm welcome ( we travel 40 mins to get lunch here ) and they strive to make your visit pleasurable ! If you want the best food in Fleetwood you should not miss out on this little gem ! We thank them for making our shopping day such a pleasure ! 💐💐

Good old fashioned Fish and chip shop

The tea room was shut last time we were in Allonby so we were pleased to see it was open. We were stopped from entering at the door in a slightly uncomfortable manner. We asked if there was a table for 2 which there wasn’t. We asked if there might be one later and were able to put our name down and to come back in half an hour. Our waiter was really polite and friendly but in general, the service wasn’t great and we had to ask for our drinks when we saw 2 tables who arrived and ordered after us and was clear ours had been forgotten about. Our table didn’t get cleared for a while despite several staff walking past and it was only when we grabbed the attention of someone and said we’d like to order cakes that it was finally cleared. The whole atmosphere wasn’t particularly friendly or nice. Unfortunately a disappointing experience and we wouldn’t go back in a hurry.
