The best restaurants serving British food in Bewsey and Whitecross Warrington North West

Visited for afternoon tea for two. The gluten free food was lovely and felt of high quality which is rare for gluten free! We had the option of sitting inside or outside, we picked outside and sat in a nice picturesque seating area looking out to the pond. The only slight let down was that the service was a bit slow and we felt forgotten about a couple of times, there were only two people serving though and they seemed rushed off their feet so we can’t fault them. It was easy enough to book through Facebook messenger, and we would happily go again

I am not one for writing reviews, but given my exceptional customer experience at Cafe Blu, I decided to make an exception to the rule. From the offset, everybody at the Cafe was friendly, down-to-earth and very welcoming. I didn’t have any cash on me and had to pay by card/phone, however there was a hiccup with the payment going through. To my astonishment, this was resolved swiftly, and in a manner that I have never experienced before...anywhere. Thanks again for that. I ordered a bacon and egg on toast that was cooked to perfection. The egg was lovely and runny and the bacon was perfectly cooked and not too fatty. I have had similar butties from other establishments that have gone straight in the bin. This one was cooked to perfection. I honestly cant recommend this Cafe enough. Whilst waiting for my sarnie to be cooked, I briefly chatted with a pleasant young lady who I believe is the niece of the proprietors. She took time out to explain what's on offer, menu-wise, and how they are pro-actively looking for new ideas/recipes to accommodate their customer requirements/pallet. Get yourself down to Cafe Blu or order via ‘Just Eat’ – you won’t be disappointed!

Took our Beagle with us for Sunday Lunch,he had a water bowl and little snack on the house. We had a fab u lous time, brilliant food and service that didn't break the bank. Can't recommend it too highly.👍

Wandering Wednesday today was simply AMAZING….xxx❤️ 6th May 2024 ‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubster Neil and I back to The White Hart, they change their menu’s quite often and it would be very rude not to try out their new cuisine creations! They never fail to please….. We didn’t have starters as the dishes are huge and would of been far too much food!….. Entrées: Neil had bone in Pork Tomahawk marinated and grilled with chorizo and garlic sauce…. Served with loaded fries, skin on fries with magic dust, gooey cheese, bacon bites, house sauce with takeaway toppings. I had a burger….. double stack beef and cheese, ketchup and Manc sauce with a glazed short rib, topped with massive onion ring and ranch slaw….. Upgraded my fries to skin on fries, dusted with chip salt with southern fried chicken, cheese sauce, loads of chorizo, marinara sauce, Parmesan and garlic butter….. Neil had a pot of tea and I had a coke. We’ve been back to this pub a good few times now and each new menu has drawn us in each time, the food is sooooo beautiful, piping hot…..and plenty of it, proper belly busters…. We will continue to return as the food is simply perfect… 15th May 2024: ‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubster Neil and I back a place we’ve been many times previously, they change their menus frequently, hence our returns to…… ‘The White Hart’….. this place never ceases to fail us…. Every time we’ve been the food has been absolutely ‘Spot On’ as my Father in law Arthur, would of said….bless him xx❤️ For starters we both had the same: Flour tortillas, battered cod goujons, tartare sauce, pea purée, shredded lettuce, potato strings and veg, drizzled with a curry sauce dressing….. They were huge and soooo tasty. Entrées: Neil had kangaroo and jalapeño burger with all the trimmings, salad, beef tomato, crisps bacon, spicy sausage and bacon ranch dressing, then topped off with a massive shrimp cooked on the barbie, with added fries on the side….. I had a smashed burger and when it arrived it was ‘double pattie’ with thick fried chicken tenders dipped in honey butter and wing sauce, crispy bacon rashers with gherkins and ranch dressing…… I upgraded my fries to loaded fries, which came with red salt, melted cheese poured over strips of tender steak slices, accompanied with fried onions, peppers, ballpark mustard gherkins, spiced mayo and all sprinkled with Cajun dust….. My eyes popped out of my head when it came, it looked amazing and all the flavours were something else….. Staff are attentive and very polite as always…… Will we return?….. Over and over! Without no doubt at all….xxx❤️ 24th July 2024. ‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Rhi, Max, Neil and I to the best burger restaurant in our eyes….. Back to the White Hart. Best burgers ever!! We were celebrating Rhi’s final exam of 7 years Solicitor training and it’s also her birthday tomorrow too….. Happy birthday Our Gorgeous girl xxx Rhi had Seoul destroyer, Max had a WFC burger, Neil and I both had Honey Monster. These burgers are so filling and bursting with flavours. I took screenshots of the burgers contents as it would take ages to write down!! Finishing off back at Max and Rhi house, with a Marks and Spencer’s ‘Connie the caterpillar’ birthday cake. xxx❤️

Have ordered through these guys a few times , always fast delivery and tasty treats for the family . We have also used them for buffets for family events and have always been blown away with the amount of food there is and how tasty and fresh it is . I'll always reccomend cafe fresh to someone wanting a brilliant buffet for an Amazing price . And the best breakfast in Warrington

Ordered our lockdown tea treat of fish and chips was absolutely delicious fish and chips were fresh and tasty curry and peas mmmmm deffo be ordering again

Very nice evening spent at Nandos in the town centre. The staff were all very attentive. The food was really good and presented well. The place looks great and really clean. We will definitely be back soon.

So first impressions were very good …. Lovely pub with a really nice beer garden … We have moved into the area and we are trying out all the local pub grub! So staff were nice and the drinks were lovely … After reading reviews I was surprised at how amazing my meal was … honestly it was the nicest pork dish I’ve had in years …. The flavours and textures of the food were perfect .. and I’m a fussy eater. However my husband had the lite bite fish finger sandwich which lacked fish and was served on dried up brown bread… I little underwhelming. I will return here as over all it was lovely

I was about to write a review for the old town house and I was really surprised that it has such a low rating. it turns out that the bad ratings are six years old and the old town house has changed hands a couple of times since then. It's a great pub that is sometimes a music venue, quiz night or games night. The food is really great and the vegetarian options are brilliant.
