Nice friendly atmosphere. Small coffee shop with outside terrace overlooking the lake. Homemade food. Tea served in proper teapots with china cups and saucers.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, menu offered jacket potato, soup, sandwiches which you could also have toasted and a ploughman's lunch. Theres also a selection of homemade cake or scones, a selection of teas including fruit flavours or peppermint. Also had coffe, hot chocolate, milkshakes and iced coffee. They also offer 2 afternoon tea options. Theres indoor & outdoor seating, they are open Thu-Sun, would recommend calling ahead to book as I can see there will be times when they get really busy.

Had this one on my list for a while but the days they are open are limited, however on this glorious day I did a bit of a recce cycle out and most definitely was not disappointed. I was given a very warm welcome and offered inside or outdoor eating. Outdoor was my choice on this gorgeous sunny day. I was given a reserved table (I knew I wouldn’t be there too long) overlooking the large duck pond where there was also a fisherman. I had a scone (there were plenty of decisions to make with that but I had everything, fruit, butter, jam and clotted cream) and a pot of tea whilst sunning myself overlooking the large pond….. perfect. There was plenty to choose from on the menu. All three ladies were chatty, welcoming and made me feel at home. I guess from the number of tables with reserved signs it gets busy and I will definitely book when I take my cycling buddies. This gorgeous tearoom comes very highly recommended and I will definitely be back with or without company.

We popped in for tea and scones when visiting the adjoining fishing lodge. What a lovely little cafe. It is in a beautiful and peaceful location and has a friendly atmosphere. Will definitely come back when in the area.

Wonderful independent tea room. I took my friend for an afternoon tea as a birthday treat and had a lovely time. Looked after really well by the team, food was great - had to box some cake up to take home as couldn't manage it all. Would definitely recommend to come over - the weather wasn't great when we visited but I can imagine it being lovely to walk around the area.

Having titled a review of elsewhere as "Oh no!", this little tearoom deserves the "oh yes. " Clean friendly staple choices presented well. Staff are friendly the setting is peaceful and it's a good little stop off. Plus, my dad rates the scones high praise indeed! Long may it last.

Great little tearoom. I’m sure they could fill it several times over. A bit of a hidden gem. Will definitely go again. Best to book to avoid disappointment. We sat outside but wouldn’t want to do so in the winter. Very reasonable. Lovely snacks

What a great find... lovely welcome, very friendly and quick service. Great breakfast choices... gluten free no problem...loads of variety, well presented and served with a smile. Nice place to sit with plenty of space between tables...not packed in like some other cafes. Good value... and it also is fully licensed. Fantastic family business.

Everything that’s made here is fresh. The pies and everything are all home made. It takes me back to living with my Nan. The food is first rate every time I order from here.
