The best restaurants serving British food in Warrington North West

Not sure about the food but it looked amazing. We didn't have anything. But we will surely be back. The drinks were really expensive though which is a shame.

We had a very attentive staff member Poppy. We were actually at the Sale location, but the card with the QR code on that they gave us was for warrington. Who knows, hopefully this will get back to the right place.

5/5 30TH APRIL 2025 Wandering Wednesday’ this week took both Hubby Neil and I to a new place….. ‘The Maltings’ which is just a couple of miles down the road….. I think we have been put off going, only because when it was ‘The Bewsey Farm’ many, many years ago, you’d walk in and your feet would stick to the floor!….. it’s definitely not the case now….. Set back from The Sankey Valley Canal, in amongst woodlands, this pub is a little cracker! It is renowned for being a ‘Dog friendly pub’…. They have outside and inside seating where dogs are not restricted in either. The pub looks spotlessly clean and with plenty of customers and some furry friends…… they even have a dog menu!…. Brilliant! We even learned that The Maltings and one of our favourite eateries ‘The White Hart’ are Sister pubs, so this will explain why the food was absolutely delicious, each dish was beautifully presented….. We went for starters today: Neil had Italian meatballs in Napoli sauce, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and served with garlic bread. I had: deep fried crispy battered squid, with zesty lemon mayo, served on a bed of baby gem lettuce and pea shoot garnish. For Entree’s Neil had Salt and pepper noodles, tossed in a Teriyaki sauce with peers and onions….. Topped with pan fried Salmon (or you can have the choice of chicken if you wish). I had the ‘Cluckin Hot’ which was two crispy buttermilk chicken fillets, paired with melted sliced cheese, drizzled with hot sauce mayo and garnished with spicy jalapeno’s…. I upgraded my fries to sweet potato fries tossed together with mixed peppers and onions, with a pot of coleslaw…… there was a lady and gentleman serving behind the bar as well as the food orders, very friendly, polite, attentive and courteous….. The food was amazing and we will 100% be going back…..I could kick myself for not trying this pub before now!!

I've been here loads of times and booked for our anniversary as we have done in the past. Great server, nice starters, but rapidly went downhill from.there. I ordered a 12oz Sirloin medium, the wife an 8, and also medium. As they arrived, the young lad asked if we wanted anything, so we asked for some vinegar, but we didn't see him again. I cut into my steak, which was dry and massively over cooked. Ate some left most of it. Waitress got us some money knocked off the bill but it was too late. The meal was pretty ruined. Will think long and hard before going again, which is disappointing as we've had many a good meal there.

Went on a day where there was an event on so busy and a little noisy so the service was slow and conversation difficult. Food was great though so would definitely visit again and see what it's like on a none event day

Really great spot to go for a bite to eat and a pint. Watched the Six nations rugby in here with the wife and had a great time.

Had no food. Place and staff very welcoming. Lots of different areas to sit inside and out. Competitive prices and real ales available on draft. Very clean pub and customers friendly. Large TV's. Dart boards. Lovely fires when weather cold.

Don’t usually leave reviews, but my god the food I had was amazing. Ordered a takeaway hot lamb tikka on a chilli naan and it was incredible. So tasty and flavoursome. Think I’ve found my new favourite takeaway dish.

Have ordered through these guys a few times , always fast delivery and tasty treats for the family . We have also used them for buffets for family events and have always been blown away with the amount of food there is and how tasty and fresh it is . I'll always reccomend cafe fresh to someone wanting a brilliant buffet for an Amazing price . And the best breakfast in Warrington

I visited the Mulberry Tree, and while the food was decent quality, it's worth noting that it's pre-prepared. You get what you pay for, but it's not necessarily a bad thing! The real highlight was the bar service - the team is fantastic! They're hardworking and go above and beyond whenever possible. I was impressed by their dedication and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, I witnessed some challenging customer behavior, with two older women being quite rude to the staff. However, this didn't deter the team from providing excellent service. I wanted to write this review to give credit where credit is due. Hospitality isn't easy, and the team at the Mulberry Tree deserves recognition for their hard work. Despite the difficulties they face, they continue to provide great service. Well done, team!

We arrived at Hatton Arms, hopefully to have food off sorts, walking in was dreadful, everybody stared at us, atmosphere awful, the staff behind bar were not helpful at all, no smiles, no eye contact no personality, we felt like we were intruding in a public house, , we should have walked, out their and then but decided give them all a second chance, that did not work!!!.. we shall not be returning, we live locally, and are very disappointed with SERVICE the the unwelcome feeling we all felt, as retired ladies, have been to Hatton Arms many times, we have gathered to say your staff need customer service training, also you need to address the Rooms set up!!!!!!! In all a dreadful experience!!!!!!

We’ve been here three times recently with my elderly father and it couldn’t have been more welcoming. Leanne is amazing - so warm and friendly.
