Good food at very reasonable prices. Large portion sizes. The staff are all great here, and we were really well looked after by the excellent Shelly.

Having our kitchen refitted so we were looking for somewhere to eat that was close, and not too expensive. Great service, really friendly staff and 2 meals for £13.50 fit our needs perfectly! Both had the fish & chips on night 1, great fish, hand battered and really tasty. Chips not perfect, not really that hot. Night 2 we both had the gammon w/egg & pineapple (opted for the skin on fries this time - no extra cost), and wow! Beautiful gammon and perfect egg! Really good portion sizes too! Night 3, I had the gammon again and we also had the sausage, mash & peas. Highly recommend everything we've tried at the Cherry Tree, 2 thumbs up for the gammon though! Thanks for a great meal, service and at a reasonable cost!

Such a lovely little place with the most accommodating staff I’ve ever come across! A huge thank you to the lovely lady with vibrant short hair, who made us feel so welcome! She served with a smile and her friendly presence really transformed our experience. The food was delicious and extremely filling for a very reasonable price. We will be coming here again in the near future! :)

Went on a Friday evening which, we usually only go midweek we expected it to be busy and it was but service was really good we didn't have wait to be served and the food came quickly , we enjoyed our food, the atmosphere was lovely lots of people eating or having a drink.

As someone who's worked in pubs and clubs, this is one of the nicest, family friendly places I've been in a while. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and excellent food.

What can I say?? As a fussy eater I am hard to cater for but here at The Cherry Tree the staff were amazing as advising and guiding me to the right choices to suit my needs. The food is absolutely beautiful, steaks cooked to perfection!! I now have a new favourite! Cajun Chicken with rice ... WOW! Great value on food and cocktails 2 for £9.50 ... Roll on Saturday night! Booked a table for a 70th birthday party. Cherry Tree catered for 11 people (including 2 under 5). The whole day went brilliantly, very much helped by the attention given to our table by the waitress, Hannah. She was absolutely great. She was attentive and alert to all our needs and kept all meals coming through quickly and hot. She was very professional and is a great recommendation to Sizzling Pubs. Visited again Friday, 9 May 2025. Still excellent food and professional, friendly staff.

Came in with my fella was served by a girl with long blonde hair she was lovely and the food was fab had the big beef and fries and my fella had the mega mixed grill which was cooked to perfection

The staff were really friendly and polite, the service was really speedy as well with getting our drinks and food order. The food for some of the group was good but for others it was less enjoyable, the food is nothing spectacular and does was it says on the tin. Good if you’re looking for a quick simple meal.

Visited this afternoon and can honestly say we had absolutely no complaints. The food was exceptional and served super quick. Food quality was excellent, freshly cooked and good portion sizes, meaning great value for money. We had the Big Beef Burger and Chicken & Mushroom pie and both were completely finished. We sat in the self service area, which was nice and quiet with plenty of space. You order at your table via QR or at the bar, help yourself to cutlery and condiments (near bar area), which is no hardship at all. The bar staff were polite and helpful at all times and the place itself is lovely and clean. At the moment the car park is free but double check just in case. The ladies toilet is near the rear exit to the car park. We are looking forward to returning very soon as the menu is exceptional, not your generic cheap pub menu. Please pass on our thanks to the chef and kitchen staff.

Lisa and her team are absolutely amazing! The food is delicious, new menu has such a great variety on it! Can't wait to try the cheeseburger spring rolls they sound mouthwatering!!! The service is speedy and efficient, ordering is easy enough whether using the app or the waitress available to you. The place is lovely and clean, atmosphere is amazing! They do a quiz night on Wednesdays which I'm thinking of coming to with my daughter (work permitting for my daughter). All in all amazing! Thanks Lisa and Team Cherry 🍒

Been coming to Cherry Tree for over 20 years and it's never ever failed to make us feel warm, welcome and at home! Lisa and her team are phenomenal, the food is delicious Hats off to the chef! The steaks are always cooked to perfection (I have a mixed grill and it's always beautiful) my wife loves the chocolate fudge cake. The array of drinks available is perfect! I love your 0% Guinness!! We will be in again soon

Love this pub. Friendly staff. Great food. Four cask ales on sale. I wasn’t sure which to choose from so I was offered a taste of each.

Disappointing there wasn’t a single draught ale available with all pumps empty, not ideal when trying to support your local pub.

Went ladt night as we had our first date there 16yrs ago. It was very busy and the staff did a great job getting everyone served.The food was lovely we had the sizzling plates. Thank you to i think was the assistant manager sorry hun didn't get your name .she was very friendly and chatty made our night x

served me a clunking hot chicken burger and the chicken was still frozen in the middle was absolutely disgusted! They did say they would refund the meal but completely ruined our family meal out. Also had to argue that the upgrade of the chips on that meal was refunded as the whole meal was taken away! suppose you pay for what you get! will not be returning for food again!

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Had the sharer platter even though it was busy the food came quickly. Staff were very attentive and friendly.

Even though the restaurant was busy service was brilliant. The food was hot and really tasty with lots of flavour.

Food was good, worth the wait but we didn't know that the burgers came with burger sauce (our error!) but the servers were really friendly and helpful. The only thing was, the drinks were slow but the servers were overridden with orders. Good pub in a good village.

Service is quick and cheerful. The frequent discounts on the app are welcome - making the prices reasonable. Parking is always available.The only complaint is the poor wifi signal

A great evening out with friends to celebrate Christmas and Anne's Retirement. Really nice pub, good atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Jess, who looked after us all was really helpful and friendly. We had the Festive menu which was great value for money at £18.99 for 3 course meal - the meringue dessert was lovely... Will be back soon!

Fantastic festive meal with a large group friends. Everyone enjoyed the food, atmosphere and the friendly staff were lovely as usual. Jess, in particular, made sure we all had a wonderful night - thank you Jess! Would recommend paying a visit. Great value for money and tasty food. The vegan ribs are my favourite and the turkey was very succulent. £18.99 for 3 courses is well worth it!

Ladies that lunch have been once again. One of the ladies tried food from the vegan menu and was pleasantly surprised. We really enjoy our monthly visit to the Cherry Tree. Staff and food, excellent as always.

My partner ordered the food with an hours waiting time! And on checking his receipt realised he had been charged for a mega stir fry which he hadn’t ordered. Our food arrived exactly an hour after ordering, by which time the football had finished and the place had emptied out. We were also more than ready for leaving. Paid extra to upgrade from rump to sirloin. I could not see any meat on the steak just fat and grizzle and struggled to get my steak knife through any of it. Told the lady who had come to apologise for the extremely long wait. She offered to get another piece of steak cooked by the chef as walking off with my plate. I pointed out the rest of the meal will be cold by that time and she agreed to get a fresh meal cooked for me. She came back and said the chef was happy to replace the meal as that piece of steak that was served to me was the best of a bad bunch!!!!!! And would put rump on the new meal. I pointed out the sirloin was more expensive….i was not offered the difference i had paid back which in my opinion should have been offered immediately but replied with errm I suppose I could give you a free drink. I said I don’t want another drink but as that was obviously all I was going to be offered I agreed . She went off and did not return. I had to go to the bar and explain the situation to the girl who was now behind the bar. All very uncomfortable. The more pleasant lady mentioned in other reviews brought my fresh meal said the rump is cheaper did you get the difference paid back to you. I said no given a drink. She said the least you should get is the difference in the cost back and would speak to who was in charge. Didn’t come back or get the difference just a drink which I didn’t want. My partner drank it while waiting for me. He finished his meal as mine arrived. Unfortunately not a pleasant experience and won’t be returning or recommending!

The staff were amazing. There was one lady in particular who served me at the bar she was not very tall and wore glasses and was the friendliest, most helpful person ever. I was also very impressed with the offers on the food, and the quality and quantity of it.

This pub is great for meeting friends, having a drink etc. The atmosphere is superb and the bar staff are wonderful. Special mention to Lisa and Gemma.

Service was extra special and made our experience worth every penny. All Staff were friendly and got the balance between making sure we were happy and comfortable and giving us space to enjoy our meal absolutely perfect. The food was great and at the right price point. We were especially delighted with the service from Shelly and how special she made everything for our 6 year old son.

Went for Lunch with daughter & Children wated nearly an hour for food and when it did arrive was barely warm. And the fish was terrible , intact everything was awful staff not interested, won't be calling again .

Had a meal here last week and there were four adults and two toddlers. The manager on shift was really accommodating for our needs, as were the servers with our requests. The table and high chairs were clean, as were the menus and cutlery. The choice on the menu is good and there are options for different dietary requirements. We got two meals in the £13 deal and our child had fish fingers. The food was piping hot when it came out. My husband said his fish and chips were really tasty and our child ate the majority of his meal so clearly enjoyed it. The halloumi flatbread didn't have much flavour despite having sweet chilli sauce with it, the flatbread was hard and the halloumi was soggy. Perhaps it's something the chain could look into in terms of ingredients or cooking method, I don't know. I ate the majority of it, but if we went again, I'd pick something else. We did wait a long time for the food to arrive, maybe 40 mins despite the pub having only just opened and not being busy which did seem odd. The drinks were tasty and the coffee hit the spot though. We'd consider visiting again, but not if we were pushed for time.

The staff were amazing the two women who served us were funny kind and polite weve been before many years ago and didnt enjoy it but with these women at the front of house and the chef made us delicious food that we ate this is a matxh made in heaven .Ill definately be recommending to friends and family and i will definately be going back was a wonderful visit this time around :)

Went for lunch today with a friend and had an 8oz steak. It was poor to say the least. Almost half of it was fat and grizzle. When asked if everything was OK I showed the waitress the amount of fat that had to be cut off (which was about half the steak) She said oh I will see what I can do. On going to pay there was no apology or reduction and was told they would speak to their supplier. Not much good to me at that point. I paid the bill but will not be returning.

Me and Tom dine out on an evening every Wednesday service is pretty consistent down side was one night they tried a large just eat order so had a very long wait bit all in all pretty good for the money

What a great place! Never been before, but thought we'd give it a try, Saturday evening - went for a couple of drinks and something to eat. From first entering, the staff were so friendly & seemed genuinely happy in their work, they were all very helpful and attentive to everyone in the place. Bar service was excellent, food ordering at the bar was also efficient & flawless, staff were knowledgeable about all menu items etc. Food arrived quickly, and was cooked to absolute perfection (3 different meals). Watching the staff it was clear they all enjoy their work, and the manager obviously maintains a great working environment. They were all happy & pleasant, yet super efficient, and the food service was spot-on (we were looked after by Hannah - she was excellent, and a perfect example of how it should be done!). All tables were looked after in very friendly efficient manner, and each was re-visited to check if everything was OK with food & drinks etc. Overall EXCELLENT!. A perfect example of how a pub should be run, with great food, drinks, staff and leadership. We will definitely be returning soon 👌

Place ok not too busy on this visit, food good and they give you options to change ie proper chips instead of skin on. Where we sat there was a problem with flies but it was a hot evening, a electric fly sapper would be ideal.

All staff was lovely, especially when I came with both of my children. My server Gemma was so helpful and got my order in quickly and efficiently. The food was lovely and was served fairly quick and my kids ate there's all up (which is sometimes hard to find a place they like).

Great atmosphere, food, drinks and staff

Chose this pub as about 10mins drive from home, and had good enough reviews. Well, all of us were disappointed. Firstly, the drink was poured in a dirty glass. Secondly, we had to specifically ask to provide us some cutlery, as even after bringing the plates with meals in they didn't noticed we had no cutlery. The cutlery, specifically knife brought in, had a dirty dry spot of something on it, so the question is do they actually properly wash dishes? Thirdly, tables were dirty, quick wipe out doesn't get the dirt out, especially if not done properly, but on purpose to provide a vision it's been cleaned. Lastly, Hunter's chicken was grilled to the point it had black charchoal on the chicken, taste was more of a burned chicken rather than Hunter's chicken itself. Child ordered a larger meal of sausage, half of chicken breast, and burger patty, and said chicken was dry, burger was thin and also on the dry side, but that went down. The other child said dippers were tasting weird as if they were undercooked. Since we visit a lot of pubs, we know the proper taste of the meals ordered, and expect some variation, but not to the point of dried out meal or grilled it that much that it has coal pieces to add the taste. Unfortunately won't be coming back, but good luck with the business.

This is a great pub with a fantastic atmosphere. The staff are very friendly but a little slow serving. The food is cheap and simple not too good. The Beer is awful the worst pint in culcheth but if you stick to the bottles you will have a great time.

We all had the best night, really took advantage of the 2 cocktails for £8.75. The "rockstar" cocktail was a favourite in our group. Atmosphere was brilliant, staff were friendly and helpful.

Went here for dinner on a Sunday, found they didn't cook any Sunday dinners, this wasn't a problem and had something different instead. We found the sharer platter starters have literally halved in size since we came here 2 years ago to the point that it was almost a platter for one and same with the meals, the main course came on the smallest plate ever to make it seem a lot but the nine frozen chips didn't seem to fill the saucer , even the desert wasn't very special as the main special desert only used icream and squirty cream with a couple of tiny biscuits broke in half and thrown in. We came away hungry after a three course meal so i'm afraid we won't be going back as for the same money you can get a lot better quality food elsewhere.

Busy pub with a good choice of beers and food, all at very reasonable prices which is probably why it is so popular.

Perfection... From the moment we sat down WOW .. Jess and Lizzy were absolutely brilliant, very attentive and bubbly. We enjoyed our visit so much we even stayed for pudding. Dan in the bar was wonderful when we were paying our tab. Thank you team Cherry 😁

Our 40th Anniversary with 8 family Adults and 4 Grandkids. Everything from start to finish was amazing, easy booking - done by Jess who did it all for us, fantastic staff and service by Hannah, various dishes for us all including dessert for most, can honestly say I don’t know where the kids put it all but somehow managed. Would definitely recommend….

Lovely little pub, staff are so nice and always go above and beyond especially when I come in with my 9 month old. Super friendly. Lots of food options and lots of options for drinks.
