Absolutely perfect for dog friendliness and the food was amazing. Wonderful place to visit and set in a nice little out of the way area too

Nice food and good beer at a decent price!

Visited for a Sunday roast. Food was average with overcooked meat and veg. Great pub if you are a dog owner, dogs everywhere. Our experience was ruined by a dog barking constantly at the table next to us. Dogs were sat on the furniture and we even saw one peeing up the walls. The pub should have a dog free area for people who don't want to sit and eat lunch with a dog barking in their ear

Great for dogs but not really for people. Food is very average and strongly priced for what they provide. Do you really want a dog pestering you while you are eating.

This is a fantastic pub! Food was lovely, service was great and really dog friendly! They supply beds, water bowls, and even have dog treats on the bar!

Went in for a quick light tea and a few beers. Top service from the staff Friday 9th. And the food is always tasty and reasonably priced.

What a hidden little gem the Maltings is. Drinks, coffees, food, pleasant surroundings, indoor and outdoor seating, looked after by lovely friendly hosts and staff.

Had small plate fish & chips which was plenty for me & delicious. Had to wait for food but was notified how long the wait was as very busy. Sat outside as warm, sunny day, atmosphere great as plenty people outside with their dogs. They also welcome dogs inside & even have a dog menu.

First time visit sun was shining drinks were cold what more do you need. place had a good vibe if your in the area give it a try

Booked a table on short notice at 5pm they had availability at 7pm was nice to be informed on the phone what dishes weren't available. Got to the restaurant on time orderd starters and mains which were nice, went to the bar at 8.10 to order desserts but unfortunately was informed the kitchen was closed - would have been nice to be informed this at time of booking or when ordering the food at the bar as we would have preferred mains and desserts rather than starters and mains, was our second visit unlikely to drive out that way to go back.

We took our puppy out tonight, to celebrate her 3rd birthday. We have been here before and knew that they welcome dogs. Also, their new 'Doggy Menu' sounded amazing. The perfect treat for her special day! It was a boiling hot evening, so it was busy inside and out and we hadn't pre-booked, however the staff welcomed us and managed to fit us in. Unfortunately, there was a slight mix up with our order, which caused a delay. Quite literally, as soon as we enquired about the delay, we were instantly given a full refund and were moved to a new table, so that we wouldn't have to be disturbed for the rest of the evening. Outstanding service and the food was amazing too! For dog owners...our puppy is quite nervous but she found the atmosphere so calm that she quickly lay down on a bench seat next to us. For her, we ordered the doggy sausages, (which she loved) and a doggy ice-cream, to cool her off. We will definitely be returning soon!

Good pub nice atmosphere and good food also lets dogs in which everyone loves.

Food wasn’t the best and a bit pricey for what we got Husband had a burger the bun was burnt and the worst one he’d had I had the chicken noodle dish chicken was hard

Lovely pub squirreled away in Warrington, cracking place to bring the hound as its close to the canals and nice walks, then you can come back for food n drink. Recommend the afternoon tea for your dog, our Brian loves it.

Excellent value for money. Decent choice for vegetarians. Dog friendly. Dogs catered for. Outside there is ample seating on 3 sides, some under cover for all weathers.

Went to The Maltings for a Father’s Day meal and we all had a lovely time. Great food with plenty of options for everyone. The pub is fully dog friendly and even has its own doggy menu. We will definitely be visiting again!

Very good food and dog friendly! It can get busy, so it's best to book a label beforehand. Just popped in for Sunday lunch June 24 , super nice as always ,I can recommend the roast beef and cauliflower cheese ...very nice , as above best to pre book a table

I've been to a lot of dog friendly pubs and restaurants but this one is by far the best. The staff are so helpful and the food has been brilliant each time. My dog loves it here. Every visit has been above and beyond what we expected. All the staff are friendly but I must give a huge shout out to Anna who has been brilliant each visit. Well done! Amazing pub, amazing staff, amazing food.

Visited today as it was on my partners list of places to visit while we were up here from down south seeing family, she’s a dog business owner and it’s been on her list for a while! It’s a lovely building in a nice setting. Nice warm atmosphere and great service. I had the pie which was piping hot and filling and my partner had the jacket potato which she enjoyed. Now; for the main event - the doggy afternoon tea for our lab Wallace. It’s safe to say he thoroughly enjoyed every single morsel and polished off the lot! Our whole experience was great and the doggy menu was fab and as dog lovers it would be a perfect place for us to visit frequently, sadly we live 250 miles away but we will be back!

Staff are rude and don’t help one bit meat was uncooked don’t recommend also they was a cat on the roof of the building eating a mouse

S-Tier. The food was delicious, playing on the arcade there was awesome (the arcade gameplay was for FREE btw), and the desserts there were also S-Tier.

Went for breakfast with family this morning, the lady who served us was very friendly and professional, didn’t have to wait long for our food and it arrived hot and tasty especially the sausages which were yummy, very pleasant pub and dog friendly… would definitely recommend

Absolutely the most dog friendly "Dog friendly" place I have ever been. Doggy menu, treats and water available at the entrance. Human food was good and reasonable as well.

2 thirds of the pub was empty but all the tables had reserved signs on them which doesn't really make you want to return in the future. Luckily it was warm so salt outside. Ordered two meals and was told ot would be 45 minutes wait which seemed strange when half the place was empty but the food did in fact take around this length of time to arrive. When it arrived the chicken buttermilk burger was burnt to a crisp. Far too overcooked however by this point I was starving so I ate mine. My partner ordered a pie and her food arrived cold. This was sent back and remade which took another 30 minutes to arrive. This time it was hot and well cooked however the whole experience was extremely poor.

Just had lunch with friends and little boy. Lovely food and staff. Nice atmosphere and little boy loved seeing the dogs and the attention he got from other customers. Thank you for a pleasant afternoon.

The food here is rotten, last time i came ordered steak and chips asked for it well done when i cut into it a pool of blood was now on my chips. Sent it back they just tuck the steak back so was left with bloody soggy cold chips when the steak was re done. Thought i would give a second try if i went for someone different got fish and chips was tasteless just tasted of cooking fat and full off oil touched it with my hands and all oil on my fingers i ate the fish out of the batter due to it being £15 now im at home and ready to he sick… avoid !!

Wow, wow, wow.... This place is literally a 'hedden gem'!! Such a nice place in a hidden location. If you are a dog walker, you have to come here!! Dogs can come inside too and enjoy a meal together as a family my heart filled with joy when I saw the dogs dinner menu! Great location, great staff, great place. Can't wait to come here in the summer when it's hot!!

Another perfect experience at the maltings! Greeted by Nat with a big smile who just can’t do enough to help you and ensure you have a great time. The food and selection of ales is always 5/5. Beth and Jen super friendly at the bar. The thing that makes this venue stand out more than any other is the customer service. My mum also came for Mother’s Day and Nat in particular again made it very special for her, can’t thank the staff enough.

Food was delicious but it took an hour before the food arrived . It was Easter weekend and we didn't book a table and the food was just warm . Would go again

My daughter booked to take me on Mothers Day with her 2 girls, We were shown to our table by Natalie who brought us both a glass of presecco! Natalie then looked after us with the drinks and food order, We had Sunday Lunch which was really good and the dessert was great also.(Chocolate fudge cake x 4!!) Lovely atmosphere in the pub with families and their dogs - the girls loved it and want to return with their dogs! Natalie was friendly, professional and made the experience so much more than just coming to eat lunch.

VERY dog friendly. Doggo scarfed his dinner up in record time! Great place for a family get-together, though we did have to wait a long while for food service. The food was ok. It's not amazing, but ok. There were ok but not exceptional options for our vegan guest as well. Good beers are available. Wines were ok. Overall, it's an ok place; it's not outstanding foodwise, but it's in a glorious semi rural position and very friendly for our pooch too, which is a big tick for us 😀

Called in for lunch, had a burger and a pot of tea. Service was great, girls being the bar were helpful and friendly. Got a dinner for my dog, will definitely go again. Good food and excellent value.

By far the best pub restaurant in Warrington, great food, variety of ales but what makes it stand out is the staff which make this place truly unique! Nat always greets you with such a beautiful smile and can never do enough to help you, makes you feel so valued and welcome, the pubs greatest asset by a mile! Jen and Beth also do their work with a smile and make the experience fun. All in all a superb place to visit made so superb by the customer service.

First time I have been to this lovely pub. Fantastic offer on for 3 courses for £20. Food was amazing and service spot on with friendly staff. Definitely going to return

Booked for Breakfast on Christmas Eve. By far one of the best cooked Breakfast's I've had in a long time. We all enjoyed our food, the kids ate everything on their plates. Staff were all friendly. I will definitely return.

Went today for a pre booked table at 4pm myself, friend, two grandchildren and the dog. Stood in the doorway waiting for our table 4.10pm got our table only to be told it was a 45 minute wait for food! 4.55pm food arrived and it was absolutely stone cold. Sent it back and manager came over saying sorry we will re do fresh food and if you want we will give you a couple of cakes! 10 mins later he came back to say 5 more mins then 10 mins later he came back to say another two mins…… At 5.27pm we went to the bar to say forget it fed up, starving we were asked to wait for the manager but we walked out. Would absolutely not recommend this pub at any cost. Food, staff and service shocking and disappointing at best.!! The dog ate his dinner but only because we took it with us!!! What a waste of a Sunday afternoon with my grandchildren. Never again

We have often been here in the past, but in the last 6-9 months have found the food not very good. Today jacket potato's were not cooked, when returned unable to cut the skin, we were not the only ones to send them back. I had tuna and sweetcorn, the latter having a handful shown to the tuna. Spoke to the so called chef who's attitude was polite but not very caring, we were offered a drink or cake in lieu. Not good enough. It will be a long time before we eat here again, which is a shame as it is our local and in the past meals have always been good.

Great bar service & drinks, but food was average. Steak was well done and not medium rare as requested...sirloin .steak had more fat than meat on it... chips were undercooked hard and pale. Beef jus for the steak was like runny piss water. I complained and got 3 quid back for piss water jus! Great place if your starving or no where else to eat in a hurry .

Hi, I’ve been visiting the Maltings for a while now, love the pub, lots of character. The staff are lovely, especially Gemma, who always makes us feel welcome on a Sunday morning after our dog walk. The food is fantastic, the menu is updated often which is nice. Recommend the chicken wings if you want a snack with a pint. Excellent selection of beers too Had a Moo pie today which was excellent. Keep up the good work. Thomas

Most dog friendly pub we have been to in a long time and surrounded by lovely walks. Food was great too.

First time trying this place and wouldn’t go back. It took over an hour to get our food and when eventually it arrived the sausage and bacon looked so raw wasn’t cooked properly totally put us off and couldn’t eat them. Even my son who eats anything couldn’t stomach it and that’s saying something. Although the man who served me was apologetic coming over three times to apologise for the wait and offered us a free round of drinks (but we had just purchased another round as the coffees I ordered with our breakfast had been drunk half hour before due to the wait so we declined the offer) it didn’t make up for the fact that the food was inedible when it eventually arrived. No excuse for undercooked food that we waited over an hour for! A shame really as the pub itself has lovely features inside etc is very popular with dog owners (at least 7 dogs was in whilst we was there) and as my relative has just moved into the carehome next door I thought this could have been a regular place to visit as we will be travelling far to visit them but unfortunately this won’t be the case. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back

Although it belongs to the Greene King group, it is so different from the one in Chapelford - the food, the vibe, the settings and even dogs are welcome. The Yorkie wrap is simply amazing! The lady said it was sold out at first and somehow she was able to find one for us so that we could try this. The gammon steak with pineapple and fried egg was delicious as well. Sports TV was on, friendly dogs were sniffing around - oh, they even had a dog menu for your pooch!

Sorry to say but the food was not very good, there was nine in our party for my husbands 70th birthday, most of the food was cold, my pie was a bought one, had better at Greggs, I love this pub but will not eat again no I didn't complain at the time as I didn't want to spoil the day..

Living close by this was our local until it was invaded by dogs no designated area for dogs you will never find a seat where a dog hasent sat dogs eating of tables very unhygienic should be reported to health and safety

First time visiting the Maltings after recommendations. Firstly I would like to say the roast dinner was very good. Really tasty. My daughter had a chicken burger which was also very tasty. Yes. I pinched some. Only thing is I could have done with more veg and I only had one parsnip. I do like parsnips. Now the thing that did take the edge off quite a bit was the football. My daughters and I are not fans of football. And unfortunately it was on every television. And it was quite loud. I was quite disappointed with this. I don't want to sound like a bore but it really didn't need to be on every television. Not everyone likes football. But the food was great.

My meal was cheap looking no nice presentation chips look like they were just thrown on peas were dry , my husband sent his back he has steak and ale pie when he lifted the top of the pie it was nearly empty won't eat there again

Found this place by accident as we dont come from warrington, but we will be going again. Although the place was packed we managed to get a booth outside and as we had the dog with us we didnt mind, also it was heated. Had the roast beef sunday lunch which was delicious,lovely thick slices of beef and plenty of veg. Service was great, staff extremely friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Came this evening with 3 friends. Ordered the double burger and asked to be well done, it was rare. Two chicken burgers, dry and the chips were cold. 3 meals came out and I had to wait another 15 mins. Not a good experience and would never come back. The chicken also was not cooked fully. No coleslaw with the chicken either

Waited over an hour four our food. Burger really dry. Vegetables not cooked properly and hard. Poor service. Staff pleasant enough.

We visited from Stoke on trent so the first thing I needed to do was use the toilet. Only to find there wasn't a single toilet roll in sight. There wasn't even any soap in the dispenser so I could wash my hands before the meal. Food took nearly an hour so I approached the bar and was told it was just being plated up. Waited a few more minutes and they bought out cold food. You can see from the state of the brioche bun and the grease on the lettuce leaf that this wasn't the best of meals.

We went on a wednesday and they had an offer of buy any main and get a starter and dessert for free. the standard of food was very good.

This beautiful old styled pub is located in a quiet corner of westbrook warrington in the middle of the woods. On the inside it looks like you've stepped into a home from hobbiton from lord of the rings. Warm and cosy with wooden beams and stone tile flooring. The food was amazing and is made by the chef from scratch instead and bought fresh instead of your more common store bought frozen foods. This is a dog friendly pub with a lot of snacks and accommodations for your pets including a small dog menu. The service was perfect with one of the staff fully making me and my partner feel welcome as first time customers giving us plenty of information about the place. The food came In perfect timing and was cooked beautifully and presented well. There are weekly events such as quiz nights and game nights, the pub has front and back outdoor seating areas too.
