Lovely friendly staff and excellent food . Restaurant nice and clean and homely . We especially like the smothered platters great value for money.

I visited the Fletchers for an early Friday lunch with my brother and sister in law on the 7th February. We had not booked but received a warm welcome from the duty manager at front of house when we arrived. We were seated in the bay window at the front of the restaurant and immediately attended to by Alice who took a drinks & carvery order. The food on the carvery is delicious, with ample choice and always hot, whilst served with a smile! Being vegetarian I can easily fill my plate with the great range of vegetables and lovely vegetarian gravy. Josh later served us with drinks, and we agreed that all the team were friendly and efficient. Another delightful visit. Thank you.

Lovely pub food and Shana who served us was great and very professional. I had the salmon noodles and my husband had the barbecue chicken. Good portions and place was very clean.

Had lunch at the Ashley Arms today. Amazing food, service was great and would hightley recommend you give it a try! We will definitely be coming back .

First time here and I was a little bit apprehensive as it’s a half hour drive from where we live My conclusion is it’s ok if your a local There was nothing wrong with any meal, but the two who had lasagna thought the portion was small, us other two thought ours was ok Would I go again no because it’s not worth the journey and it’s nothing special just pub food

We visited for lunch with friends and had booked, the table was ready for us and we were seated immediately. We got menus straight away and a drink order taken. After we had ordered our meal the waitress brought over a jug of water and glasses which was welcome and I always like a restaurant that does this. As a table we had lamb shank, cheese and onion pie, rag pudding and gammon steak and all plates were cleaned. With 3 soft drinks and a lager the bill was £76 which was good value, the menu is varied and online for a browse. I would advise booking as it gets busy especially in better weather but there’s a decent sized car park, dogs are allowed and it’s flat enough for those less mobile.

On 5th October this year, I collected an order of food for my elderly parents ruby wedding anniversary. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious.

Really friendly chippy and even though the queue was long the girl behind the counter was really fast and took orders down the line rather than wait for each order, like people used to do in the old days! The fish was a big portion and really tasty and the chips were freshly cooked - they gave me a nice cardboard box to eat it in and I sat in my car by the co-op and ate the whole lot. Someone in uppermill told me about this chippy and said it was the best so I drove home via mossley and glad I did I will definitely be back

There were 11 of us out for a meal. The service was great, from the minute entering The Fletchers, the staff communicated well as to the progress of the table. Again they were attentive during the meal, making sure we had all that we needed. The place was busy, a good mix and had a very relaxed feeling to it considering there were so many people inside. Definitely more about the food than somewhere you pop in for a night out. Most of my group had the carvery which was cooked well, even though we were nearly finished before our pigs in blankets came to the table. The only moan, shall we say was the plating of the meat, where everything was piled on top, could have been a little neater. And finally to the price, very reasonable indeed, certainly would recommend it for a family meal or a team night out.

Had Sunday dinner, food was bland, roast potatoes and boiled potatoes hard to cut gravy was like water. Meat wasn't tasty and was fatty with blood veins. Vegetables came in a separate bowl and was hard no gravy to cover them. Wouldn't go again.
