TGI Fridays in Tameside

Not one to take the time out for reviews but I will make an exception on this occasion. This was one of the most welcoming places I have eaten at. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted. My allergies were managed brilliantly. It was my son's 10th birthday and he got a piece of cake and staff sung to him. The food was delicious. Thank you to Bex and Liv for a wonderful service. X

Good customer service, excellent food. Quick turn around for starters and mains. Cocktails in 2for1 are brilliantly made

I went with my dad as we had been to a Manchester City game and were staying in a hotel which is nearby to this restaurant. We hadn't been to TGI Fridays for a while, so was not entirely sure what to expect. Drinks service was on point. We had starters, I went for the garlic chilli king prawns. They tasted stunning, although I thought for value and portion it was a bit tight; however the quality made it fine for me. For our mains, we both had the glazed smash burger, which was quality. The glazing is quite sweet, which might not float everyone's boat but it tasted good for me! The fries was a fair enough portion, nice seasoning which is quite salty. Great service in general so am more than happy to give this a good rating!

Food came out really slow and when it did come out the chips and burgers were cold. Normally the service is really good and food is really fresh. But this time the portions were half the size they normally are and wa not worth the money. Really disappointed in my visit today.

For almost £20 a burger you expect something fairly good. A small and dry offering is not worth the money in any way. Decent chips, ok kids meals and friendly service the only things going for it.

Alicia was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us, she was so friendly and when there was a problem with our food she tried to get it sorted and told us about the rewards so we could get a free dessert

Not appy. No sweet potato fries :( Really looking forward to them after a hard day. Do not recommend unless you want severe dissatisfaction with your evening. The rest was great though.

We had great apps and service - thanks amy. In fairness, the whole team were great - nice welcome and no time pressure on the table

Cold food, odd tasting beer. £20 for a bowl of pasta, £25 for a cold burger that was basically just a mountain of cheese.. Alright service but did have to ask a couple times for things… would I go again? Considering there are plenty of other places within 300 yards that would get the food out hot and cost half the price.. probably not.

Food was lovely and the staff are so so friendly. Constantly checking up on our table. Ate here a few times and I’ll definitely come back again!!

We went as a last minute plan. The food was amazing and the service top notch. Thanks to Lucy who was our server. Everything was hot, drinks flowed and came out quick.

Outstanding service from Alicia this evening. She couldn't have been more helpful throughout our meal and was one of the most attentive servers I've ever met. She's an absolute credit to TGIs and we would absolutely return again if the service is like this every time.

Lovely food and Lily our waitress couldn’t have been friendlier and helpful, especially when one of our party has a severe milk allergy.

Went here for the special offer of chicken wings for £25. Sat there for 20 Minutes without anyone taking my order. Had to go find a server to take my drinks/food order. Food took 40 minutes to come. Avoid this place at all costs.

Restaurant was quiet. Food prices have increased significantly & the service seems to have gone down! Ordered a dessert we get every time we go to TGIs and was very disappointed to say the least it was 3/4 of marshmallow fluff and barely any ice cream & was charged £10.55 to add brownies ontop. This is the second bad experience I’ve had at TGI Ashton under lyne now and won’t be returning, Manager was very unhelpful.

Myself and son came in today at 12.48, whilst staff slowly walked around trying to look busy, the friendly bar person greeted us and showed us too our table, gave us menus, we then waited about 15 minutes being aware we only had 45 minutes before are film was due to start, no one served us, I got up and ordered drinks at the bar, at which point our drinks where bought over the bar man asked me did I want the 2 for 1 I agreed, was not planing to do a review as staff are smiley and it was only drinks, however they over charged me for 3 drinks it got £23 they charged me for both cocktails bill should have been £16, will not be back.

Johnboy served us well. Not been to a TGI for a while, the first bite into the dry chicken made me remember why. The food an menu are out of date and pricey for the quality. But the service was good.
