Eats & Meats in Tameside

My go to for breakfast when I’m in Shaw. Lovely, friendly staff, good coffee and a great range of breakfast options. From a full English to great breakfast sandwiches at a good price. They also do locally made muffins and to die for cream cakes. Well worth a visit.

We ordered a small breakfast no tomatoes but came with them I ordered pea and ham soup no bread but came with bread and the soup came with carrots which I find strange in pea and ham soup

Great sandwiches been using this place for years. Great staff and proper home cooked food. Cheese & onion pie is to die for.

Had cottage pie loaded with meat and mash just right amount gravy was delicious. Fast and friendly staff nothing to much trouble. Brought the rest of the cottage pies for my mum who's disabled we normally use ready meals which are easier she's had 1 tonight and is also hooked thankyou to all staff for a lovely experience

Got to the place for breakfast and give her my opinion on her cottage pie and she was verbally abusive and intimidating even though I was right she had filled it with peas it was disgusting I used to buy them regularly but never again

half these people on this r definitely as i go eats n meats on a regular n in my eyes its one of best caffe i have ever been in also have an amazing menu u wont find anywere else and have always been polite

Will not be eating from here again. Absolutely terrible breakfast. We was sat outside with our dog, the girl behind the counter didn't ask if we was eating in or taking away. So we got our breakfast in take out boxes. I asked for a metal knife and fork instead of plastic and the woman then moaned or should I say under her breath say oh my god. I then started eating the breakfast and it was swarmed in oil. The egg just kept slipping off my fork , the bacon was all fat and looked under cooked. I had a puddle of oil over my spam, I still tried eating this and I heaved whilst I was eating it. I didn't even touch anything else in the take away box absolute dreadful food will not be eating here again. It used to be really nice don't know what happened

Love this place, they make delicious Sandwiches(full to bursting), Breakfasts and the Best Pea and Ham soup

dreadful decided to treat myself to a sandwich ... never again bread very underdone .. raw in parts fillings falling out making a sloppy mess and as they had been wrapped in two thin tissues ( not serviettes ) this was now soaking with the coleslaw and sticking to the sandwich. actually felt physically sick looking at it straight in the bin for the tuna one tried to eat the cheese but bread raw.

Visit here at least once a month and never had any problems or found any faults. Food is delicious and staff are pleasant and it is priced well.

A pleasant shop. Some staff friendly, others not too friendly if you don't spend enough. Sandwiches expensive.

They produce very nice home made meat and cheese and onion pies, small and family sized ones. The cheese is to die for very very tasty.They also get a delivery of some very tasty oven bottom muffins and the turkey and stuffing sandwich on one is lovely.

We called in today for lunch. I had the cheese and onion pie, which was awfully over cooked. The cake i had a vanilla bun which wasnt as fresh as it could have been. Quite disappointing!

I am a local, so visit here regularly for a takeaway lunch. My choice so far has been the salad boxes, which come in three sizes - small, medium and large. You can have salad simply on its own, or ask for a selection of meats to be included. The meat is weighed, priced up, then added to the box. The salad is fresh, crisp, and plentiful, and the small boxes easily fill the best part of a dinner plate. I initially had the large, then the medium, before realizing that the small is best for a solo diner. The place is very popular, and no matter what time of day I go, there are always people sat in having breakfast or lunch at the tables or on the comfy sofa in the corner, or on the tables outside, always nice in the Summer when the weather is warm. There is an excellent team of staff, both working behind the scenes preparing and cooking, waiting on tables, or serving behind the deli and takeaway counter - and they are always in my experience, friendly, polite an helpful, without exception. Eats and Meats is also a deli, and there is a range of cheeses, homemade pies, artisan jams and chutneys, breads, cakes, teas and coffees to try, both to eat in or take home. This cafe and deli has stood the test of time, and is one of the places that Shaw is known for. I think it will be a local marker for many years to come. Nice one Eats and Meats.

All the gear but poor end result, needs better tasting blend don't get that coffee satisfaction after slurping a good coffee. Other than that nice place

Had some home made cheese n onion pie. Absolutely gorgeous. Very friendly staff nothing too much despite near to closing time. Coffee and scone to finish was a delight. Deffo recommend. Oh almost forgot fab meat pies we brought home too.

Called in while shopper, had a lovely sandwich and best chips coffee good, staff friendly, nice sitting area also outside seating xwill definitely go again

Whenever we need to for a family breakfast at the weekend this is the best place in Shaw. Great staff and food. Plus you can get rag puddings for your tea as well and other meats or goodies.

Indeed so far the best place in Malta to buy meat from! Everything is so fresh, the choice is amazing and staff is so friendly. Fair prices and great choice of delicatessens.
