Excellent food and lovely staff, highly recommended.

Had my mother's wake there, they sorted us out at very short notice and only a few days before Christmas. They were excellent.

Did not know of change of ownership.. should have checked.. total letdown.. roast dinner cold..served on cold plates.. veg ok.. very little gravy.. service poor.. heard great things but far from it.. really poor & disappointing

Pop in for some lunch on Sunday for catch up with a pal. Great local pub service good pub meals. Menue has a good wide choice. Venue is cosy and comfortable service is good and atmosphere is friendly. Large carpark and prices are reasonable. Definitely worth a visit every now and then.

Try the fish and chips - they are stellar and always a favourite with me as this is my local go-to pub in Denton

We visited here on a recommendation off a family member for my birthday. There was 9 of us and we all said the food and service was excellent. I had pate as a starter, steak and ale pie main (huge chunks of steak and really tasty) and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Everything was lovely and the food my family ordered looked delicious too. All reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend

Best steak pie I've had in ages, massive chunks of meat that you don't usually get in other places, with perfectly cooked chunky chips, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Friendly bar staff and waitress serving the food. Shame it was raining, will have to come back and try the beer garden another time.

Was very disappointed with the food. Ordered a chicken Burger and this arrived with a breast of chicken in a brioche bun - no lettuce, tomatoes onions, sauce nothing just a chicken breast in a bun! Never before have I order a chicken burger and received one like this. Handful of chips and a bit of salad on the plate £12.00 Food used to be good here really gone down. Wont be visiting for food again.

Not very dog friendly. Water outside for the dogs and the pavement too hit for them to stand on to drink.

Not eaten here for a while. Sunny evening stroll with the dog. Why not give it a go. Thought I’d try my old favourite Cajun cod. Well I wasn’t disappointed. Different than what I’ve had in the past but its certainly upped its game. Great beer also. San Miguel on tap so the hubby was happy. Will be back very soon. Thanks

My daughter and I visited for the first time after seeing a menu on Facebook. It's quite a strange experience as it presents as a working man's pub, where they stop in for a couple of pints on the way home after work but then has table service if you're eating. The food was great and lots of it! The garlic mayo with the mushroom starter was divine - I could have eaten a bucket of it. My daughter enjoyed her cheesy garlic bread too. For mains, she had a steak sandwich which again was excellent and was loaded with filling. I had the mushroom, leek and cheese pie - massive! The accompanying chips, although a frozen variety rather than homemade, were perfectly cooked. We also had a side of onions rings...omw...without a doubt, THE BEST onion rings ever! Big, chunky, thick crispy batter and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be returning!

Would not give it a one star gone down hill this place went in about 1 was no one in now i know why orded a ching bagutte with bacon 9 pound witt no chips the bacon was not cooked just bits of chicken on a baggutte the slad was even awfull very overpriced and thevfood is discusting now what it used to be

I have visited here a few times throughout the last few months, been a great visit, welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. I visit with my close friends where we ordered cappuccino and soup of the day, it was lovely. The building is such a lovely place. Full of love and architecture. Went in today @ 2.oo Pm today,I can honestly say the barmaid was frosty to say the least,this has happened several times the same person. Other bar staff no issues doing a great job.

Service was friendly and efficient food was really tasty and reasonably priced we all enjoyed our meals.

Lovely Christmas meal, just unfortunate that the ladies toilets were freezing as located by exit which was left open

the service was very good but the main meal was not nice at all.it was my wife birthday so thought we would go for sunday lunch we ordered two sunday roast beef dinners the meat was so tuff we could not cut it with our knifes veg was hard told the young girl she apologized but nothing else was done

4 of us went here for a meal and night out as there was a singer guitarist on. 2nd visit of the year, staff very pleasant and friendly. We had the rib eye rossini steaks. Very tasty, medley of veg was superbly cooked, The steaks were a little over done i asked for medium and it was well done. Its so hard to get steaks right.. some one will,complain its under done others over done.. Still enjoyed it though, One of the party had fish and chips, the fish was big and he really enjoyed. The selection of beers is excellent. Spoilt for choice. We moved to the other room for the entertainment. Stayed all night and had a hangover the next day. Must have been good ! Will return.

Food was very nice and a perfect pint of Guinness was poured, which isn't always the case with most places! Great service too 👍

Lovely lunch. Service was very good considering over 20 of us went with our walking group.

Visited a couple of weeks ago when stopping at Denton Premier Inn - don't eat there on principal. We got a very pleasant welcome at the Lowes Arms and we served promptly by very friendly staff. The menu was standard pub fare, but was reasonably priced, the food was hot and fresh when it was brought out and they serve a very enjoyable pint. Will definitely re-visit when in the area.

Not a good one. Four of us ordered HOT food.My meal was only warm. When I told a member of staff. She replied "What only the one" Not the answer I was expecting. A Friend ordered Turkey & Pork sunday roast. She only got the turkey. She told another member of staff who said he would bring some out. He never did. The last straw was chewing gum stuck to my trousers from under the table. Mentioned it to a member of staff and asked for some ice cubes again nothing done. Would we return. No way.

Was a quite when we arrived not many people in the atmosphere was pleasent and nice we got a drink and ordered fish n chips for us both it was nicely presented and was very good

Went in for meal, i got a piece of chicken, and approximately 10 chips and it cost me £13.00, i wasn't impressed

Have always loved eating here as the food has always been excellent and this is the first visit since the change of ownership. The food was very disappointing, the pate was grainy and difficult to spread and the Sunday roast was poor. I ordered the roast beef but was brought the turkey I sent it back then my husbands order arrived whilst I waited for My correct meal. When it returned it was lukewarm and bland. Service was slow and they seemed very understaffed and whilst this would not normally concern me the food quality made it a very disappointing experience.

Wonderful staff. Pleasant surroundings Great for a function and great food. Parking is ample, and good outside space Well worth a visit.

This is actually the nearest pub to where we live and we were regular visitors a few years ago - but it’s pre covid since we last visited. New ownership so we decided it was overdue a visit. Pub felt much more cosy than we remembered it. The Food was really tasty with generous portions and very good value. Estrella on draught was a treat but there is also a good selection of hand pulled ales to tempt me back… Service was excellent and very friendly. We will be back soon. Enjoyed it and recommended.

I frequently visit the Lowes, it's a friendly pub with great staff and I go primarily for a drink after work. However, it was Valentines Day so I'd booked a table for two - wifey was pleased, then delighted - it was the best meal she'd ever eaten! For starters, I had the duck salad - delicious 'fine dining' - Lorraine opted for the mackerel pate which she thoroughly enjoyed. We both ate Baron of Sirloin for mains, the meat just melted in my mouth and the thoughtful sides just confirmed that it was, again, 'fine dining'. Dessert (since when did I eat dessert?) was a Lemon and Mango Parfait that was scrumptious! Lorraine 'wolfed' the Chocolate Marquis and never even gave me a little taste - I was offended! I think we'll both be eating here more often. Hats off to the new owner Craig - this guy can seriously cook! A special thanks to Liv (20)and Grace (18) for being so good and helpful - 2 young girls who will go far in their careers. A brilliant meal - thank you so much!

Great food menu and well cooked. Alcohol is served here.all at competitive prices. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. There is no problem parking. There are entrances for all people. Ground floor entrances.

Great local pub. Very well presented and the Sunday lunch was very good. Three thick slices of beef on my plate, along with crispy roast potatoes. A side of extra gravy would be welcome

Food is basic, drinks are a bit cheaper than some pubs and the staff are helpful. If you want a meal that's not expensive with a limited choice then you will enjoy the Lowes.

Had a lovely meal here, the lady that served us was wonderful and cheery which made us feel great. The food was really tasty and will certainly head back there again.

Just had a meal here, waitress was very helpful then it went downhill… fillet steak ordered medium/well, came more like medium rare, should probably have been butterflied.. nobody asked how my steak was or even how the meal was, soggy soggy broccoli, our waitress now seemed to have disappeared, nobody asked if we wanted another drink, another waitress took our plates without asking how the meal had been , nobody came to ask if we wanted a sweet… sat and sat so eventually I went to the bar and asked for the bill.. 2 of them behind the bar too busy giggling and chatting and didn’t even have the decency to ask how it was…what a disgrace… first and last time at the lowes arms Denton

The food at this is very good, I've been a couple of time in the last week, the Cajun Cod and Chicken are recommend, the Steak and Ale pie is a solid pie, and not just grave, but with meat. The Apple Crumple was a Pie but this was also a good solid pie, and I look forward to going again. However it is a small menu but very good quality.

Let me just say first the staff at the Lowes Arms were so welcoming from walking though the door to walking out of the door. they were very professional. And then there was the food it was a reduced menu but all the food my little group ordered was excellent cooked to a very good standard. our first visit but not our last. will be recommending to all my friends.

Good food, the Steak and Ale pie is a really good pie.

Table pre booked. Arrived and told we couldn't order right away as they were busy. Observed staff delivering food in a chaotic fashion. Wrong meals sent to wrong tables. Food when it arrived was warm by the time I had finished eating my food was cold. When asked for the bill we were overcharged for drinks that we hadn't ordered. Food was mediocre staff very disorganized will not be visiting again.

We go here frequently with our girls, wider family and as a couple - literally perfect for all ages. Pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We all absolutely love it. Great quality food, which is also very reasonably priced. Friendly, polite staff and we always received excellent service

Visited here with my partner on a weekday lunchtime. I tried the chicken club baguette and it was really good! The portion size is more than enough, and it’s really affordable :) we will visit again I’m sure.There’s a decent variety of options on the menu and I loved how the bar had Smirnoff pornstar martinis on the tap! Not seen that before.
