The best restaurants serving British food in Kendal Fell South Lakeland North West

We thoroughly enjoyed a berry delight waffle with blackcurrant and cream ice cream and a double vanilla scoop ice cream with a flake a sprinkles! Thank you so much, we will definitely be returning.

A cosy restaurant with good friendly service, very helpful. The food was great. I had the fried seafood which was fresh and hot. The best squid I’ve had in a long time. You’ll find it down an alley. It’s well worth finding it.

When we do our Xmas shopping we like to pop in for our Xmas lunch. I had the turkey wrap.with chips which was lovely much needed. Plenty to choose from on the menu the breakfast looked good. Washed down with a cup of tea. Will definitely be back.

I visit every time I'm in Kendal, most weeks. Excellent gluten free food, pies, cakes etc, so I buy 2 pieces of quiche to take home too. The owner & staff are really nice. Highly recommend as I rarely eat out due to trying to find places that do little or no gluten free food.

I'll keep this short. £6.50 for a small and not particularly tasty or fresh scone with jam and butter (no cream). What a rip-off - almost twice as expensive as pretty much every other café in town for a scone (I'm a Kendal resident and frequent café-goer). The other cafés' scones are better, too. Not impressed.

This is always a good place to eat with genuinely home made food and a good variety. Also a good range of drinks and willing to vary the menu if necessary. Nice building too and helpful staff.

My husband and I were staying at the nearby county hotel and decided to call in for a coffee on the way into the shopping area. The coffee was great and the millionaires slice was lovely. Service was very good.

Comida encantadora! Una muy buena opción en el menú regular, con algunos especiales de temporada muy buenos también. Teníamos la fuente de otoño, fue excelente. . . . pastel de cerdo, jamón asado, queso azul, piccallili casero, chutney, pan. . . . tan sabrosa Terminado con unas galletas de cereza y chocolate blanco, también deliciosas. También tuvimos té de hojas sueltas, de nuevo. . . excelente. El personal y el servicio es excelente. Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que visite Kendal.

We have been visiting Kendal for a number of years and wandering around we found this wonderful cafe/coffee house , and what a wonderful place it is. Great service plenty of choice and a coffee that was one of the best we have ever had.

Visited for live music on a Saturday night. The band were blasting out a little too loud but the atmosphere was great and the place was buzzing. Staff very friendly.

Nice place, seems well run. Friendly staff, all smiles. It seemed a decent place. Clean, hygienic. The food however isn't great. Everything tastes of chip fat. From onion rings, battered haloumi, the chips, burgers, scampi. None of us enjoyed it. And it's expensive for a chippy, very.
