The best restaurants serving British food in Salford North West

Had lunch here today and was really lovely, we got 2 burgers which were very nice and the staff on the bar were lovely (sorry didn’t get their names) and mark who brought our food was so friendly and bubbly and did a great job of checking we were alright and told us about the desserts and coffees etc. Fab customer service and fab value for money

Nothing has changed, beer in the wrong glasses, no ice @ 6.00pm on a Friday night. Tables need cleaning, in there for nearly 2 hours, not a glass cleared. The staff could not walk 100 yards to the co op for ice, typical Greene King, no one cares.

I had a fun night out at the Matchstick Man near Media City. I’ll tell you what the steak is a really lovely cut. This comes Courtesy of chef Dylan on the chain around and including Joe , and some amazing staff. The chips with my 11 ounce steak was really crispy and the peppercorn sauce was a little bit of a twist a little bit spicy and a little bit excellent actually very excellent thinking about it With garden peas on the side and a generous splattering of onion rings it was a veritable fee to say the least Beautiful wine, but a very good price I will continue to come back to the superb restaurant / public house. Did I mention the puddings? Well I will now because the cheesecake is absolutely marvellous. Okay this is the wrong way round but the chicken wing starter was awesome. My whole meal with drink came in less than £25 and I am most impressed by this , especially near Media City If this is the standard of the food in the area, bring it on

Room was as expected apart from a clogged sink. I was sharing a room with a friend and we requested a twin room via third party. I understand that you may get a double room+sofa bed, and we did. There wasn’t any bedding for the sofa bed however and it took them over an hour to sort some sheets and a cover. We arrived late and just wanted to get our head down. Could have let all of that slide but the customer service was dreadful. No empathy - just abrupt and full of excuses. Not a good experience

Stopped off for drinks during a visit to media city. Decent bar with very friendly staff. They obviously had an issue with gas in the lines but they were quick to rectify the issue. Great work. See you again soon

We go to Lowries as a family every Saturday morning and have done for several years. The food has always been perfect and in all the time we have been there for breakfast we have never had a complaint. The staff are excellent, always very attentive, courtious and helpfull. We are a party of between six and ten people, usually with a couple of babies and or older children but we always feel they do their best to accommodate us with the seating arrangements. Pensé en probar este chippy ya que recientemente me he mudado a la zona. Pedí patatas fritas y curry (£ 4 ). No disfruté de la comida, sabía muy soso incluso mis papas fritas estaban inundadas de salsa, más como un plato de sopa. Casi pido pescado, y me alegro de no desperdiciar el dinero. Preferiría viajar a otra tienda de chips desafortunadamente

Still a very good place for food but the mention has shrunk you used to be able to just order a burger not a complete box though that’s the only option now. Still really good though

Very comfortable hotel, close to the city center. Friendliness. Great price. Very comfortable bed. Shame about the Sunday breakfast paid for but done in another hotel nearby (...and waiting for 40 minutes!!) due to an unforeseen event. Shame also about the deafening noise and vibrations of the pub music on Saturday night and the traffic.

Long wait times for food, and very limited menus options, mainly focused on grills and steaks. Ended up ordering from a takeaway. Would not advise coming here

Some wierdo was just outside approaching me and my cousin, staff just walked us to the car, thank you for that felt so uncomfortable him approaching us with a beer in hand weirdly

Pleasant. Has fantastic staff. Good price. No complaints. Wish you did jacket potatoes in the evening s . Mixed grill seems a big favorite. Definitely recommend. Football and friendly atmosphere . Mixed age . Gorgeous puds . We v tried them all .
