The best restaurants serving British food in Salford North West

As a narrowboat continual cruiser with complex PTSD, pubs like this are few and far between. I was made welcome in seconds, they ignored my anxiety stuttering, made my assistance dog the centre of attention and had the kindness to remember me and my order. While I really struggle with my disability, I felt welcomed and respected. Such simple acts of human kindness give me the strength to carry on. It's not the poshest pub you can go to - but the staff and customers make it the most human I've visited in months. Visit for a sense of humanity and community. You won't be disappointed.

...how good it was. Had the mixed grill which was plentiful, piping hot and tasty- can't ask for much better than that!! Didn't think the drinks prices were particularly good value compared to some other local boozers. Whilst we were waiting for everyone else to arrive we had a pint of Level Head (I like it!) and a large glass of red which came to over 14 quid

Since being taken over the place has gone down hill so much food is either over cooked or the chips are still rock hard as tho they have only cooked them for 2mins.The gentleman cooking never acknowledges you at all and they expected Thai food to take off was never going to happen it was disgusting.lets hope someone better takes over soon that can cook

Expected bigger rooms as it's not an express, it was actually smaller than an express we stayed in the same week. Service was good, breakfast lady was efficient tho not friendly. Good location for town.

Stopped off for drinks during a visit to media city. Decent bar with very friendly staff. They obviously had an issue with gas in the lines but they were quick to rectify the issue. Great work. See you again soon

Pensé en probar este chippy ya que recientemente me he mudado a la zona. Pedí patatas fritas y curry (£ 4 ). No disfruté de la comida, sabía muy soso incluso mis papas fritas estaban inundadas de salsa, más como un plato de sopa. Casi pido pescado, y me alegro de no desperdiciar el dinero. Preferiría viajar a otra tienda de chips desafortunadamente

Still a very good place for food but the mention has shrunk you used to be able to just order a burger not a complete box though that’s the only option now. Still really good though

Allowed me to book a table for 8:45pm. Arrived at 8:45pm to be told kitchen is now closed and they won’t serve me. Haven’t eaten at Beefeater in over 10 years and will probably now stay away for another 10 years.

We were staying locally, called in couple of times. We ate on Wednesday, food was excellent especially as it was busy. The staff were all friendly and extremely efficient. The cleanliness and attention of everyone is a testament to the outlet. Thank you, will be returning,....

Fantastic traditional style pub.

Watched the Villa match yesterday and got a few drinks and snacks. Was a brilliant place to watch the match and a great atmosphere. Bar man was top notch

Terrible staff attitude and not a very clean place to stay. I wouldn’t recommend. There are nicer places in Manchester at better prices. Very noisy as well.

My favourite place, the best food in the area and top hospitality.

Been in a few times previously and had a great time. Yesterday was a horror show. There was a family in the extension who allowed two of their children to run riot. They were chasing each other through all three rooms of the pub (and the car park) while screaming and disrupted the whole atmosphere, I felt sorry for the people who were dining.The staff did nothing to intervene even when one of the children started to ride his bike through the premises. Luckily we only bought drinks and left immediately after the first. I wouldn’t take alcohol to a Jungle Jim’s and also don’t expect hysterical minors to be tolerated in public houses.

Stop off for a quick drink, nit very busy but staff were great and friendly!
