The room has soundproof window, by having two layers windows. However, they forgot that the doors, floors, drainage and water pipes need to be sound proof as well. In the midnight, guests around you are so loud that you can barely sleep till 4 a.m., as if they are stamping their feet on a hollow wooden board above you. You can even hear all conversations in the hallway. Anyway, if you want to stay here, please do yourself a favour and bring your earplugs or whatever stuff you may use to protect yourself from noise, or you may have to stay up so late until everyone falls asleep.

Only stayed over night but it's handy for The Lowry where we were going, just a shortish taxi ride. Very clean and well maintained hotel and rooms. Breakfast was plentiful and hot, which I find unusual for buffet meals. Have stayed in the past and will stay again.

The hotel entrance had a pleasant scent on entrance. The food and bar selection was pretty good. I would definitely recommend giving the chicken wings a try. Breakfast had a good variety to chosen from. The room was clean on arrival but not sound proof as you could hear the neighbours at times in the hall. The location was a bit busy for road traffic in the morning but expected for a big city.

Perfect location just outside the main town but close enough to quickly access. Free park for residents and plenty of space, including disabled spaces. Quick arrivals from Matt who was very friendly. The rooms are a good size and nicely orientated. They could do with a little reservation but are clean and maintained. The safe didn't work which was a shame and when I tried to ring the reception the phone wasn't connected with the wire removed which was strange. Will the evening staff was a star and professional and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the team that worked were on certainly on point with excellent service. The range of food and standard was outstanding very impressed. Highly recommend we will be back!

Brilliant staff, Beautiful food and a great mattress!! I stayed here for a few days and were very well looked after by Staff, especially Victoria, who was very attentive and would answer any queries we had. Breakfast Buffet was fantastic. Would have given 5 stars but for the squeaky floor boards from room above!

One of the worst experiences at a brand as well known as Holiday Inn..felt more like a basic bed & breakfast rather than a branded 3 star hotel Like holiday Inn… don’t know where to start from - 1. Checking in with 5 bags, was told at d reception that the lift is not working since a week! And they gave us a 2nd floor room.. when we asked them To give a ground floor/1st floor room the receptionist very rudely told us no family rooms available on lower floors and if we want we can cancel the reservation n look for some other hotel! Finally after lot of argument they just offered to Help us drag our bags up 2 floors. 2. Entering the room - the phone in the room wasn’t working, the towel warmer in the bathroom was broken, basic thing like a body lotion is also provided in the toiletries. 3. Breakfast next day was a limp affair - had requested for vegetarian breakfast the night before after speaking to the chef who has assured with much confidence that the breads - croissants n muffins are eggless & they could provide pancakes as well.. going down next day was told The chef made a “mistake” - that is after my daughter already ate the muffin thinkin it’s eggless. Pancakes provided were raw, uncooked n falling apart.

To start at the end I am writing this instead of watching a film of my choice from a USB stick. When I plugged it in to the TV the TV just started resetting itself repeatedly. I questioned this at reception and there was an aloof response with the tacit implication that I was attempting to watch pornography. Oddly this has been one of the better conversations with reception. Going to the start, my booking clearly specified a ground floor room was required. They tried to put me in a 2nd floor room. When I requested a move to the ground floor they offerered a 1st floor room. Believe it or not I had to explain how a 1st floor room was not a ground floor room. Ultimately they found me a twin single bed room on the ground floor, which was not the booking. The room itself was terrible. Even if we leave aside my size, as a functional adult, isn't really suitable for a single bed, just wow on the discomfort. Seriously, had I gone and committed some serious vicious crime and been stupid enough to get arrested it would have been a more comfortable bed. If these beds were in prisons there would be riots, an inquest and the expectation of a senior MP resigning in disgrace. Yet Holiday Inn are comfortable charging you real, actual money to make the vague use of a bed you cannot sleep in, unless of course you are on heroin. Adding to the discomfort, and I suspect this is a signature move to let you know the contempt they hold you in, the room was freezing. It was warmer outside on a cold wet Manchester night than it was in my room. Five minutes inside and despite thick socks and reasonable shoes I could no longer feel my feet. Needless to say the heating in the room does not work. Several conversations followed with reception. I was presented with a portable heater. This had no PAT test sticker, but ultimately I felt it worth the risk, as the worst that could happen would be a few moments of pain if it caught fire and burned me, then I would be free of it all. Also they provided a (PAT tested to be fair) extension cord, since a big part of making you as uncomfortable as possible they have blanked out virtually all of the plug sockets. Didn't keep a precise count but I think I managed to eventually sleep for three and a bit hours. Breakfast? Breakfast. Surely this would be all right. No. The coffee machine produces some sort of metallic tasting concoction, the orange juice was watered down to the extent that it truly tested the dictionary definition of orange juice. Bread was twice the size of the one toaster provided, so you get a kind of half well done, half raw bit of toast. One bite of the bacon was enough to make me take no further bites. The famous saying by Satre is hell is other people. I did not know he had been here. On one instance of me going outside to get some warmth I saw a fellow guest leave his room, observe someone had put a room service tray out and proceeded to rummage through it, taking an unspecified item or two to eat on his merry way. Surprisingly and thankfully I didn't get glassed or stabbed by the very loud, aggressive gentlemen in the bar. Positives? Well it's in walking distance of Salford Lads Club. The staff are really, really good at saying "sorry" and do so repeatedly with enthusiasm. Meals in the restaurant on an evening were surprisingly average, which contextually is a plus. Should you book in here I sincerely hope they all like you more than they like me.

This tiny holiday inn is probably the worst I've stayed in. The price paid for 1 night does not reflect the the peculiar little place and they didn't include breakfast either which would have been an additional charge of £24 for 2 guests. Wish I'd stayed somewhere else.

Ideal accommodation for an overnight stay and an early airport departure. Breakfast - all the trimmings at 4:30 am. Delightful Manchester staff - friendly, polite, helpful and efficient. Room was modern and comfortable. Booked with Holiday Extras airport parking, it only cost £50 for family room for 4. Also, flights out of Manchester vastly cheaper than Heathrow, Gatwick and Scottish airports.

Stayed here for a night out in Manchester. Hotel was a short taxi ride away from city centre, in fact receptionist ordered us the taxi, which was nice and efficient. Room was better than we exected for a mid-range/budget hotel. Clean and comfy, warm enough and hotel in general was pleasantly quiet. Staff were all very professional and polite.Breakfast next morning though was miserable. Our server said that they wouldn't be putting the hot breakfast buffet out as not enough guests that morning, which is fair enough, but we could order it to be made fresh. Hubbie went for the full brekkie and I asked for poached eggs, but asked for them to be cooked so there was no raw wgg white, I just hate paoched eggs that still have a bit of runny white. I wasn't expecting them to turn up hard-boiled though, with a faint brown tinge and stinking of vinegar. (Top tip to the kitchen - a proper chef knows to use white wine vinegar not ordinary malt vinegar in the pan and not to boil 'em for ten whole minutes!) The full breakfast was pretty poor too, bland sausage and bacon, congealed beans and just generally looked quite unappetising. Very disappointing considering it had been cooked to order. Thankfully, there was cereal, fruit juice and yogurt too that we could hellp ourselves to. I was told at check-in that they had gluten-free bread for toast at breakfast, which they did and was very commendable of them. I always appreciate hotels that make the effort to supply gluten-free bread though sadly my sorry poached eggs had made the toast damp and soggy so I couldn't appreciate this as much as I would have liked to.Overall though, a good stay and we would consider this hotel again if we were heading back to Manchester.

We stay at this hotel a LOT because it's close to our main office in Salford. The area around the hotel is pretty rough, but it's a short taxi ride into the center. They have recently done some upgrades to the hotel itself and it's looking wonderful. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I would like to commend the chef, Avinash, for his efforts in offering some new, exciting dishes, our favorite of which is the grilled chicken with butternut squash and spiced carrots. It is AMAZING! He's working on other new dishes, too; I'm sure it will be as good as the grilled chicken! Great job, Avinash, keep up the good work! You all make a great team!

Me and a couple of friends stayed in this Holiday Inn for a friends birthday. We arrived and was given a map of the City (we had never been out in Manchester before) by the receptionist who was fantastic through our stay.On the evening of our stay we went out had a few drinks and came back in the small hours of the morning. Me and my friend went to bed quite sharply but were awoken by someone in the corridor. I am not upset by this, these things happen and you can understand people have a good time. However me and my friend started talking about our night out, when five minutes later we got a knock on the door and were asked politely to quieten down, which we were perplexed by, one can only assume because we had came in looking a bit tipsy they must have assumed we were making lots of noise, when it was not. After that we chatted for a little while longer and had a decent sleep despite being beside a busy main road. Next time I'm in Manchester I would consider staying here

1 night stop on a quiet Monday night but all the staff were friendly and made me feel welcome. Aircon in the room took a while to figure out but the room itself was bright and clean. Only gripe as chair was way too low to work at the desk properly. Breakfast was simple but ok and check out was easy straightforward. It's in a great location in the city but on a road that was quiet so sleep wasn't an issue. I will be using it again when I'm back in Manchester.

With people going I or out, or coming to take some ice, I could not sleep. I manage to sleep after 3am!So from now on I'll be careful and ask not be in that position again!!I was impressed by the quality of the food. The rooms are ok except for the lack of sockets. The wifi connection is not terrible depending if the hotel is full or not. But all of that is smoothened by the customer service. It's location is quite far from the city centre. I ordered catch of the day, thinking I would have a tasty fish dinner. When the meal came there was a very small piece of fish on a pile of frozen vegetables which had no flavour at all. the fish was disgusting, when I cut into it a lot of water came out and it tasted rubbery. I would imagine that it had been microwaved from frozen. my husband had fish and chips with a side order of vegetables of the day-these were also obviously frozen veg, tasteless and watery, so awful that he didn't eat them. Why can't restaurants cook fresh vegetables it would make all the difference to the meal and does not take much effort. I will never eat in that restaurant again!!
