The best restaurants serving British food in Ordsall Salford North West

I walked in with three friends for lunch while the place was empty. The person who we spoke to suspiciously said he'll check if they had any free tables. I knew from the way he looked at me what was going to happen. What was strange was that there was literally no one there but the man turned around and said "sorry we have no free tables." Racism in this day and age is disgusting.

Brilliant food and service with reasonably priced meals. I had a carbonara and it was probably the best I had. Loved the little cheese baskets that were on top of the dish holding the Parmesan.

Diana was a very good waitress and is very beautiful :)

Probably one of the nicest, friendliest, and delicious restaurants I've been too. Me and the Mrs came here before going to a show in The Lowry and we were not disappointed what so ever. Firstly, the staff are super polite, friendly, well mannered, and professional. From the moment we walked in we was greeted with smiles and pleasantries. This continued throughout the entire meal. Also, the staff are trained to know about all the shows, times doors open and shows start etc, and they will make sure you are not late to the show. We was actually gunna finish our meal early (about 45 mins before the show started) because we just assumed once we had our main then the desert would be right out. But the member of staff (i think his name was Rob) told us we have time and if we would like to just rest before desert then we could do that. Which we opted to do. So yeah, super helpful aswell. Secondly, the place looks amazing. So modern but without loosing any class. Super clean and tidy. Well spaced tables so you're not squeezing past people's chairs etc if. Really well organised. Lastly, prices. You just want complain really. It's 2 courses for £30 or 3 for £35. (This was at the time we came so double check prices online) Even the drinks were well priced. I was actually shocked, I was expecting to pay ALOT more. Especially with the quality of the food, which was just AMAZING. I will 100% recommend the Pier Eight Restaurant and I really hope to go back again some day.

Food, service and restaurant was amazing and was well worth the money. Amazing food in an amazing environment what more could you ask for.

Stopped off for drinks during a visit to media city. Decent bar with very friendly staff. They obviously had an issue with gas in the lines but they were quick to rectify the issue. Great work. See you again soon

Ok not the best pub in the world but beauty location and the most amazing staff!! Big thank you to Rox for very attentive service and care, she’s a dedicated long standing member of staff and deserves praise! Thank Roz for making my afternoon much easier!

Unfortunately I didn't experience the quality of food and the customer service from the staff due to waiting 10 minutes at the door to be seated and was the only customer in the restaurant at lunchtime but I did observe 2 members of staff who noticed me waiting and still continued to chat with the kitchen staff...Poor customer service within hospitality. After waiting the length of time I waited I left but then noticed a male server Coming to Greet me by this time it was to late and I business elsewhere.

A really disappointing experience. My friend and I had a wonderful concert booked and wanted to get a nice dinner afterwards but in hindsight, I regretted booking this restaurant. Although the restaurant looks good, the food was really underwhelming. I ordered the Katsu chicken curry and chicken had no salt. I had to try and salt it to make it better. Even after that, it was still underwhelming and definitely needs more seasoning. My friend ordered the two types of sushi and left most of it on her plate. We thought about packing the food for her partner to have later but then we were informed they had a no take away policy which is wild in this day and age. The only thing we enjoyed was the popcorn halloumi but for the amount we spent, we truly felt there was very little value for money.

Visited around 3:30 pm for coffee and cake. They had some wrapped Eccles cake and a few pieces of "home made" caramel cake. These didn't look attractive but we decided to give it a try anyway. How a respectable supermarket like Sainsbury's allows a cafe to be open when there is virtually no choice and when what is on offer is way below what is acceptable, is beyond belief. We paid almost £10 for dry cake and some coffee. Total waste of money and infuriating.

I had a really good time and the food was lovely. I was served by Jack who made the experience amazing. I will definitely be coming back.
