Piet right served the food for the corporate Christmas functions happening at the moment. I can't tell how vile the food was! The chicken looked like a boiler fillet absolutely No seasoning, wrapped in a bacon rasher that was still breathing 🤢 there was 19 of us and not one person thought it was a nice meal. The starter resembled dog food, was it a pate? God knows but it didn't spread and looked like pedigree chum. Honestly vile. £60 a head 😂😂

Amazing place, loved it so much we went over 6 times in as many days! Whether it’s drinks or food they will get you good! Reasonable prices for excellent food and the staff are so friendly you almost feel at home here! We wanted variety but we couldn’t think anywhere that may be better! Recommended to 10/10 people in a heartbeat! Partially want to come here again on holiday just for the restaurant!

Three of us for a pre-show dinner on a Friday night. The service was excellent (Brandon), very personable, quick and efficient. The food itself was also very good. The atmosphere great, with tables not too close together. Only a choice of 2 course or 3 course items. My only criticism is that although the food is indeed very good, the menus are limited, with 40% of the starters and mains being vegetarian.

Reasonably well priced with good set 2 or 3 course choice & wine menu. 👍🏻

We visited the Queens Head pub area at Pier 18. Staff were pleasant; the place was fairly empty. We ordered Nachos and a Cheeseburger and two diet cokes. The cost was £27 - ok had the food been decent. The cheeseburger was average and edible. The nachos were the worst I’ve ever been served. Barely warm, soggy with meagre lumps of burned minced beef on top of straight-from-the-jar tasting guacamole and salsa, and smothered with synthetic waxy sauce that hadn’t yet been introduced to the cheese it was meant to represent. I sent the nachos back as they were inedible. The lovely server apologised and offered me a free drink! I politely declined. Don’t waste your money.

We decided on the spur of the moment to go to Pier Eight for a pre-gig evening meal . We didn’t have a table booked, but from the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were treated with the utmost care and respect . The staff provided an impeccable service, in particular, Lizzy who attended to us all evening. There was a fixed price menu, 2 courses for £30 and three course for £35. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic. We had pleasantly difficult choices to make . The wine and drinks list was spot on too. Food and drink were excellent quality and great value for money. All tasted delicious. The service was second to none. Pier Eight is our new ‘go to’ restaurant whenever we are in Salford Quays in future.

The Pier Eight Bar menu has changed, and the usual lovely lunch menu of Jacket potatoes, pies, panini's etc.. has gone. The Vegetarian or Vegan options are indicated, but you have to ask a memeber of staff about the Gluten Free now, and its is very limited. I used to look forward to a GF pie at the Lowry. We didnt stay, and we won't be coming again. Another couple left just before we did, for exactly the same reason. Such a shame.

Service with a smile - excellent. 0% Guinness advertised on menu but none available. My alternative cranberry juice was fine and my wife's rosé was very good. Meals at £30 for 2 courses were expensive and there was a very limited menu of only 4 items in each course. Bread for 2 for starters was average. The advertised pan fried cod was unavailable, replaced by coley, eaten by both of us and a tasty dish.We shared a lemon meringue tart which was average.

We went to the Pier Eight restaurant before seeing an opera at the Lowry as we had done once before. You have to book in advance as the restaurant sells out. It is very well tailored to going to a performance. Service is geared up to ensuring diners have time to eat without rushing before the show starts. We had booked for 5.45pm when the performance started at 7pm and had plenty of time for a two-course meal. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent. It was quite expensive but well worth it for the sake of convenience before a performance.

Went to see 12 Angry Men for a Wednesday matinee and followed it with a 5pm 2 course dinner for £27.50 each.. Lovely modern restaurant and an Impressive meal. The lamb starter was a bit on the small side but the chicken main course with dauphine potatoes was really lovely.. Service was excellent and the restaurant started to get busier as people were obviously having a pre show meal... I would suggest the staff have it down to a fine art in the fact they would be aware people would only have a certain time to eat... My only criticism is on a matinee day the restaurant should reopen earlier than 5 as the performance finished around 415 but that's a minor point. Will definitely return if we come back to the Lowry

A fine spot for a pre theatre dinner. The food is really quite good and the staff so very friendly. The menu is very limited, but as they say, better to do a few things really well than lots of things badly. That, however is where the problem is. The menu is advertised as two or three courses for £27.50 or £33.50. Fair enough. The choice on mains has fish, chicken red meat , vegetarian and vegan. But here is where the lie is and the reason not to give 5 stars. The red meat option is Lamb and they charge a whopping FIVE POUNDS SUPPLEMENT. Since when was Lamb more expensive that Salmon or chicken??? If you cannot source produce and sell withing the confines of the offer then provide something you can do. I'm sure those that take the Cauliflower Steak - yes you read that correctly - are subsiding the rest too. A bit of a rip off and less than honest if you want a red meat dish.

The Pier Eight restaurant is extremely well organised for dinner before the theatre. We booked for 5.30pm when the performance was due to start at 7pm. We had plenty of time for three courses (we had originally intended to have only two). It took away all the stress of going to a restaurant unconnected with the theatre and being unsure whether you would have to rush. The menu was not large but evidently well tailored to a pre-theatre meal. Our starters were served only a few minutes after ordering and the main course was brought out as soon as we had finished our starters. The waiters were generallly very effficient and pleasant. Our food was very good. My trout in particular was outstanding, accompanied by caulifower puree and broccoli. The portions were not large but apprpriate for a pre-theatre meal when you don't want to feel too full. All the courses were skilfully presented It was expensive and I would rather spend more on theatre tickets and less on food but I would certainly go again before going to see a performance at the Lowry.

Really great restaurant attached to the Lowry Theatre in Salford. We had purchased the VIP package with some theatre tickets and it's really worth every penny! You get a glass of prosecco on arrival, three courses of food (you choose from a menu), a bottle of wine to share between two of you and a hot drink to finish. You can either have everything before the meal or save a glass of wine/your dessert for the interval. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, would definitely recommend!

I had dinner with a friend. The restaurant was less than half full, and there was plenty of wait staff. But it took two hours to eat dinner. Our waitress rarely came to our table, and she was not on the floor. She has our table (2), a 4 top, and a 3 top. I ordered hush puppies. They were raw inside. I sent them back, and they were still raw. The oysters were priced well and they were fresh. Actually, the oysters are the only item that I would recommend. The drinks were all in small glasses. The boil was okay but very bland. Unless you don't normally eat cajun food, stay away.

Visited on a Saturday evening after seeing a show at The Lowry. Despite being a volunteer at the theatre this was my first visit. After a warm welcome we both enjoyed three courses and the staff were very accommodating with our requests. All dishes for both of us were excellent: I had a beetroot based starter with pitta bread, a surprisingly tasty cauliflower steak with kale and a lovely sauce (with excellent chips for a very reasonable supplement) and a truly outstanding vanilla cheesecake for dessert. My wife enjoyed a pate based starter, a chicken rosti dish they adapted from the set menu and a chocolate torte that was nice but a little rich for our tastes (we shared the desserts). What I found most refreshing was that whilst the food was very high quality the service was professional yet informal. Sean, Dao, Oonagh and a friendly waiter (whose name I did not catch but who made sure I got my staff discount which I had forgotten about) were all a credit to the hospitality industry. My only minor gripe is that, common with many other restaurants, it took a while to get someone's attention to pay the bill, possibly due to the fact that many customers were heading on to a show just as we were finishing our meal. The menu is quite short but this helps maintain quality I think and cuts deliberation (would like to see it on the Lowry website though as the summer menu is on at the time of writing this). If you get the chance and they appeal to you make sure you have the chips and the vanilla cheesecake (which was clearly popular with other customers judging by the number being brought out). Highly recommended and we will be returning.

Our waitress, Daniela, was the star of the show. She was enthusiastic, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. The pre-theatre menu was very good value (£17 for 2 courses) and plentiful. The sweetcorn fritters were a tasty first course and I really enjoyed my chicken curry and rice but my friends thought that the jerk chicken was a bit dry. Good variety of cocktails and interesting decor. However, early dining and poor weather meant less diners so atmosphere lacking somewhat- not their fault.

Staff friendly and very welcoming. Ate from 3 course lunch menu, great value for money, plenty of choice. Excellent service from Lizzie.

The new year party was a big disappointment. It was more like a kids training Karaoke 🎤 night the kids can read the words and sing but not very melodic. I would have thought it should have been for adults only. Sorry
