Harvester Lowry in Salford

Unfortunately I didn't experience the quality of food and the customer service from the staff due to waiting 10 minutes at the door to be seated and was the only customer in the restaurant at lunchtime but I did observe 2 members of staff who noticed me waiting and still continued to chat with the kitchen staff...Poor customer service within hospitality. After waiting the length of time I waited I left but then noticed a male server Coming to Greet me by this time it was to late and I business elsewhere.

Visited for breakfast as the placed we wanted to go to was shut. Maybe shouldn't have bothered! Poached eggs were cold, coffee was weak and eggs benedict was luke warm. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy so not sure why food wasn't served as soon as it was ready. Won't be going back

Don’t waste your time or money… Went to the Harvester bout 2:30pm after an event at the local stadium… apparently they have a new menu… there was about 10 people in total in the place… my friend and myself waited to be seated. We sat, got the menu and waited for about 15 minutes until we asked someone if they could take our order… the drinks came… my glass was chipped so went to the bar and asked for a new one… they apologised, but those things happen with glasses from the glass wash machines (knowing this from experience of running clubs, bars and restaurants myself)… Then the food came… I ordered a medium rare steak and chips and my friend ordered a mixed grill again with a medium rare steak…the chips on both plates were in a tin cup but both sets were cold and the steaks were over cooked past the point of well done… I asked the waitress (Ali who was excellent by the way in trying to help) what she thought the steaks were cooked at she replied they “they look really well done… she apologised and took it away… she then brought my friend and myself a free bowl to share of a new item on the menu which was corn bread (they need to take it off the menu as it’s awful) 30-40 minutes later I got a new meal with hot chips and a pretty decent steak… They did apologise for the issue caused but did state that the chef was training someone in the kitchen… but to be that bad when there was possibly more staff members than customers is highly unacceptable

Just how I remembered Harvester from years ago! Love the salad bar, and now they have honey mustard dressing even better

On Sunday my daughter and I, never having been to this area before, walked into this restaurant through the first door we came to which as far as we were aware was the only door. Nobody greeted us but there were many empty tables. Just as we were about to sit down a male staff member marched over and told us we couldn't have those seats and to get out and go to the other door, a door we were totally unaware existed.This was very rude and embarrassing. May I suggest that they lock or put a sign on any doors they don't want people to use in future. Not that we'll ever be coming back and we didn't go to their other door, we went to Nandos further down and had a lovely meal in wonderful surroundings served by friendly staff who made us feel comfortable and wanted.

Needed to feed the family on a weekend trip to Manchester. Well what can I say... Easiest booking I've made, felt welcomed as soon as arrived. And when asked if any allergies, which I declared to them, this was told to all serving staff and kitchen staff. This is something I've never heard done before! The restaurant was busy, but you knew the staff were there to help if needed. Food was well presented and tasted great. Staff were always friendly. As I am aware of what I can eat I chose what I know I can eat, before arrival of desert the kitchen staff sent over the ingredients of 1 of the items I had chosen not sure if it would affect me to check it over, which again I though was excellent service. I could not put any faults to this restaurant.

Ok overall but much better places in same complex. Food ok except for halloumi balance bowl which had no dressing and was tasteless! The halloumi was rock hard!!!

I had a great experience at Harvester! The salad bar was fresh and had loads of options. The main meals were tasty, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Big thank you to Elaine. It's a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. I'd definitely go back!

Appaling place! Visited today with a friend and our children. Had 2 vouchers, 1 kids eat for £1 and 1 for a free main for my birthday 🙂 Put our order in on the app, would only accept kids eat free for 1 child because if you pick a recommended meal on the kids menu, it doesn't count 🤔 Then I tried to use the code for my free birthday main. Cannot use 2 codes at the same time! Disappointing! Anyway, came to the paying part of the app, entered what was asked but you can't enter month and year card expires. After almost losing the will to live, a guy came over and took our order and accepted just 1 kids eat free meal 🤷‍♀️ I paid for my 'birthday meal' in the end. £13.99 for cheeseburger and chips (photo posted lower down) Lets just say, if it wasn't for the salad bowl I would have left hungry. We will NOT be returning to a Harvester anytime soon, if ever!

Nipped in here after a matinee show at the Lowry Theatre. Hadn't booked but was shown to a table for the 3 of us. On sitting down there was an immediate smell of vomit and the air conditioning was on icy cold (it was only around 18C outside). First impressions count and we decided to leave before ordering anything. Staff were helpful but was not sitting down to eat in a place that was freezing and smelt of sick.

Scarlett was amazing ..... we arrived from the US and this our first meal. She was managing so many tables our expectations were not high . However Scarlett was happy , friendly , attentive and produced first class service. 5 ⭐️ Thank you .

In the midst of a shopping trip with my mum we decided that we were going to head into Harvester for some lunch. Mum wasn't sure what she wanted, but went for ordering a chargrilled chicken flatbread which came with chips and I ordered the pasta. There were only two issues with the food - on the salad bar, the pastas were a little bland, and the other was that the garlic bread was quite overdone. We raised the issue with the garlic bread to the lady who was serving us and she reported it to the kitchen (we were already done with our meal by this point as when she had asked previously I hadn't tried to bite the garlic bread yet) and also spoke to the manager who gave us a discount. I figure the pasta thing is possibly just our preference, as it's part of the side salad and there are a number of excellent sauces that can be added! I also had a cherry soda which was excellent and honestly, I can't fault the server - she was really upbeat, really kind and just a great representative for the company. In fact, the majority of the staff were really lovely, clearly hard working and going above and beyond to keep tables turned over, ensure their guests were happy and that everyone was having a lovely time. Genuinely happy with the experience and given that the prices of everything are going up, it's still really great value for money. There was so much chicken on the flatbread, my mum needed to take some of it off to be able to eat it and even shared her chips as it was a generous portion of those, too.

Thank you for your hospitality when I visited your Salford Quays restaurant last Friday for a pre-theatre meal. Food and Menu The menu is simple, effective and is easy to read. On the left hand side you have a great selection of appetisers which cater for a variety of tastes. This consists of Garlic Bread, Prawns, Potato Skins, Calamari and many more. This is delivered in a tapas style in which you can share 3 or 4 starters together. There is a great mixture of mains from the Grill, Fish and Chips, Burgers, Steak and Vegetarian options with good sides that provide a great addition to any main. This includes Fries, Dirty Fries, Onion Rings and Sweet Potato Fries to name a few. Desserts cater for the sweet lovers and Chocolate lovers from the indulgent Chocolate Fudge Cake to an offering of a mini dessert with a hot drink. There are also Waffles and Sundaes if you love cold Desserts. All dishes have a great description giving you an insight of the dish and any sauces that come with it. In addition, one of the things about Harvester is that you can get a free salad from the bar and their soft drinks are refilled from the machine. For the Starters the Crackerjack Prawns were delicious. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside which melted in the mouth. It was lovely with the Sweet Chilli sauce. The Breaded Mushrooms were moorish. They had a battered coating on the outside with a tasty Mushroom inside. The Calamari on the other hand was yummy and it was not chewy or overcooked. For the Mains the Southern Fried Chicken Burger was tasty and moist. The bun was soft and the Chicken was crispy on the outside but lovely and it melted in the mouth. The Barbecue sauce was a great addition to the Burger which was nice and not dry. The Sweet Potato Fries are always a great addition with any main and they are so soft with fluffy potato. Dipping the Fries into the Mayonnaise is a great thing to do. The Chocolate Brownie was heaven. It was rich and indulgent with gooey Chocolate. It was cooked perfectly and it was lush to eat. The Vanilla Ice Cream complemented it well as it adds texture against the rich Dessert. It was presented superbly with the Brownie in the middle of the plate and the scoop of Ice Cream in a cup to the side. Service Our waiter was friendly, attentive and accommodating. He gave us the time to choose our dishes from the menu and he also provided great recommendations when we were stuck for ideas. The food came pretty quick and it was all presented to a great standard. Lighting and Access The level of lighting at this restaurant is decent. We sat on a lovely big table with good lighting in which there is no trouble seeing the food that you eat. This made the experience worthwhile. If you have a sight problem then visiting Harvester is ideal if you like comfort food that is cooked very well. In relation to access at this restaurant then there is a small step in order to enter the premises but there are no stairs as it is on one level. Parking You can park at the multi-storey car park for Quayside Media City UK (formerly the Lowry). You can also use your Blue Badge for disabled parking in which your ticket can be stamped giving you 4 hours free. This begins from the time of your arrival. Pricing Harvester is reasonably priced and it is great value for money including the refilled soft drinks and the free salad. It is great. If you love food that is comforting, hearty and that is great for sharing amongst family or friends then Harvester is the place for you.

We have been quite a few times now and it’s always very good service, the servers are very polite and professional.. we was served by jay today and again very polite and the food is always on point would defo recommend 10/10

i think its hard to find if you have never been before.you dont expect to see a restaurant in a shopping mall opposite retail shops.we had to ask directions from a stranger in a car park to get directions to the place. i had steak and chips.the food was nice. i struggled to get some pepsi drink at the dispenser.never used one before and a stranger who was dining there had to help me.

The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was nice and quiet at 8pm and the atmosphere was relaxing at this time. We always like a nice meal at Harvester and this one has rarely let us down.
