The food was great 👍 I had the fish and chips with mushy peas with the add-on fish for 3 quid. Bargain but filling!!😋

We were literally there for just 10-12 minutes and they didn't have the food that we wanted to order. So we went somewhere else. Disappointed 😞

Nice meal, great menu. Come here often, can't fault the food.

Knowledgeable attentive, friendly staff. Reasonable prices and a spotlessly clean pub and toilets. They have a good pub grub, a good local place to go for a food & drinks. Parking free by submitting car registration as instructed on the tablet at the bar.

Me and a couple of my friends came in for food as we got there we seen it was busy but they was so kind letting us sit down. The staff were so accommodating and friendly couldn’t find a fault. Will definitely be coming back 10/10

Food was warm not hot, food served on the skillets were not “sizzling” steak overcooked ordered blue steak but it was medium rare spoke to the server a male who was not in the least interested in my concerns Pictures are of half a chicken breast (half of tomato was bigger than the chicken) We were a party of 6 and 3 of us had very bad stomach cramps after eating the food Lights flickered all the time we were there

Some staff are very slow and have a can't do attitude Was in here previous week for a family meal my mum had a tab open, I came the week after and asked to start a tab and was told they don't do tabs 🤔 phoned to ask if I could increase a table from 4 to 5 people, was told it was busy and they can't. For the two hours I was there the restaurant was never full and it wasn't busy at all. Again staff had quite a can't do attitude towards just about everything. Food was good though

I've been in the Bods three times since refurbishment. It is much improved. The food is much better. Had a sizzling platter, and it was very tasty.

Will definitely not be returning . Staff lovely ,pub cold , and food well the fries smelt and tasted of fat . The sizzling halloumi dish , their was nothing sizzling about it , raw onion , hardly any pepper and the halloumi was barely cooked

4th time back since it’s had its refurb food the last 3 times was spot on tonight was just shambles from ordering to receiving it got 1 of the orders wrong then had to wait 10 min for gravy to come out for part of another meal on our table then ordered pudding (4) 1 came out still 20 min later waiting on the other 3 2 of them also came out wrong gave up by this point when paying couldn’t use my BlueLightCard!….which I had the App for apparently I hadn’t spent enough to qualify using my BlueLightCard our meals came over £50 and sweets came over £24?…..

The curry feast was a microwave curry from Aldi wouldn't go back.

We were in the pub for Christmas dinner and the food was first class so were the staff and management. Thank you we had a great day.

Everywhere is looking lovely after the recent refurbishment. The bar area was beautifully decorated for Christmas with a stunning tree and the atmosphere was very festive. We had booked a table and were quickly seated. The menu is extensive with food for all tastes. We ordered at the bar, the staff member was lovely and our meals arrived in good time. Food was hot and freshly cooked. We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon here with good, value for money food and drinks and polite, friendly service. The impression is that they really care about how they are looking after their customers and staff were going the extra mile at a busy time, working hard with a smile. Thank you to everybody for your good service.

Henry’s has recently reopened after renovations so this was our first visit for a while and I was pleasantly surprised. The bar area has much more space than before and comfy seating. We went for lunch and our food arrived in a reasonable time. We all had different meals and they were all hot and nicely served. There was a good choice of desserts and we would all recommend the crushed mince pie sundae from the Christmas menu, it was excellent! The young woman behind the bar was friendly and we had a bit of banter as we were ordering and the manager who brought our meals to the table was also friendly and pleasant. The food was reasonably priced and I would happily pay them another visit soon. Definitely would recommend them for a nice lunchtime visit.

Much improved since the refurb, we were a group of 7. We were served at the bar by Matthew who was friendly and very efficient at sorting our drinks & food order. Food arrived quick even though it was busy at the time. 4 of us ordered the curry feast and this was the best meal I've had in here. The kids enjoyed there meals and we also had desserts who I heard were made by Daisy, all were great. The pub was very busy at this time but it's good to see there was enough staff on for this and they are not overwhelmed I hope this carries on.if I have to be picky I think your curry feast meal would of benefited from having onion bhaji & pakora and ditch the salad, some feedback for your development chefs.

Although we have been a few times we hadn’t been for a while, this visit the staff were lovely and the food was gorgeous, we just found the overall experience really nice. Thank you.

Absolutely shocking and we've booked a table a week ahead and the whole pub was hammered without telling me or my friends. So we have to leave. They really need to sort their booking out soon or later

Had a refurb and change of menu. We had the fish and chips which were under cooked on our mind . Left most of it. Did tell the server would apologised " sorry about that" . Nice refurb but sorry won't be visiting again.

Very good atmosphere for a drink after work. beautifully decorated and refreshed. The outside area must be amazing to be when the weather allows it. I've not eaten this time but looking at the menu will definitely go back soon for a taste.

Me and my partner where staying in the premier inn next door for a few nights and on our last night we decided to book a table with these. Which I knew it was a bad mistake as soon as we got seated. There was clearly stains and grease left over on the table from the previous customer which hasn't been cleaned or wiped and we've just been seated down. After deciding to give this a pass we just ordered our foods which taken them 25 minutes to serve which I found was ridiculous considering our order was just 2 burger meals and a side. More over upon waiting for our food we noticed there wasn't any fresh cutlery on our table and the ones that where was used aswell as they where placed in that pot without any napkins.. the waiters also looked so out of place and just chucked the food and drinks on the table everytime they brought it out. It felt very un pleasant and dirty form start to finish.

Always come in for drinks and i’ve never had a problem with anything. The staff behind the bar are always lovely and welcoming couldnt think of a better place to go and have a nice drink

I ordered the rib platter which cost 18.29 it says on the menu it’s comes with 2 ribs and it only come with one The ribs where chewy the mac and cheese was just pasta with cheese melted on top of it The Dinning room has all little midgey flies flying around I won’t be coming back here

The staff was amazing as always, very friendly and great to have a chat too. would definitely recommend and will be telling my family and friends.

Would have given 0 star if I could. Queued up to order but had to left as they told us they don’t serve outdoor seating ( we just saw them serving next table with full meals as well as desert) and the waiting time is 30 mins (the pub is not full ) Staffs are rude. They do not care about the customer. Stooding there waiting to be served while they were doing talking !!

6 of us meet monthly and was our 3rd visit to Henry Boddington. The music was so loud and was so disappointing that we found it difficult to hold conversations.

Menu and food very good the food was well cooked with generous portions the downside was for a pub named after a famous brewer they had no boddingtons or any other bitter just lager and Cider but the food made up for it

Food was ok despite the burning smells coming from the kitchen... I would say a little over priced for what it was. Service was very slow but ok. Unfortunately the main restaurant seating area was closed despite it being Saturday afternoon, we had to sit in the bar area for a meal. Which was disappointing and frustrating. Atmosphere was terrible - music blaring far too loud whilst customers were trying to talk which resulted in everyone in the bar practically yelling at each other, so not a great place to grab a bite to eat and catch up with friends and family.

Quite good but went to order food and found it was sold out spent time to reorder plus some people who had been to a funeral were over loud

Really nice food! We almost didn't go as the app said it had no availability, we called and they reserved us a table, when we got there it was empty, I think they need to reset the online preferences. Service was good depending on who you got serving you. You could tell who had been there a while and was having a chat. But at one point 5 meals (out of 6) came out and the staff just walked away, we waited a while but I had to go and ask at the bar about the other meal to be told it would be out soon. We also asked for extra spoons with desert that never arrived. I've still given 4 stars for service as it was only those two instances, and the more experienced staff made up for the mistakes made.

Not been in for a year or 2 but glad to say the food improved massively mixed grill was lovely

A great place to go and eat. We just moved to the area and live around the corner, we tried it on a whim and found it to be one of the best places to eat that we have been to. The food is of very good quality, far better than normal pub fare. We're not too keen on the atmosphere, but that is more because of the customers, they don't seem to be the friendliest lot, not moving out of your way if you need to get past, and you get a lot of stares if you're not a regular, but that's not the pubs fault. I just reflect it in my review to prepare anyone trying the place for the first time.

Cannot fault a thing. Food is always hot and tasty. Service is second to none and the atmosphere is brilliant. Table 25 in particular is wonderful. Can’t recommend enough.

Excellent service and excellent Food

Booked a table online. Was worst experience of a pub I’ve had. Was shown to the table that’s where customer service finished! Ordered food via the app was told there would be a wait although we were the only table in the restaurant. Food came burnt and inedible. No one asked how the food was. We ordered 2 desserts but waitress couldn’t put them down as nobody had cleared the table.

Didn't have a meal but there were many people eating. 👍 Good service and atmosphere for our reunion.

Some of the meals were good others no so, very noisy, but to be fair it was a quiz night

The landlady Amanda is rude, confrontational and in my opinion needs training in hospitality, customer service and general good manners. Apart from the landlady this place is quite nice tbh.

Attended this pub with friends and was treated with a lovely parking ticket a week afterwards. After reading some reviews this is not an issue only we have come across. The staff replied to a previous review stating “if you would have discussed this with us we could have seen what we could have done”. My partner went into the facility and was presented with an extremely rude and confrontational staff member that seemed uninterested in what he had to say and told him to take it up with the parking company. Whilst this may be your “policy” there’s ways of explaining this to customers rather than coming across as rude. Due to other local pubs dealing with this issue in a pleasant manner with friends of ours i decided to call up the pub myself and discuss our situation. They have the same argument about these 9 signs that are clearly a waste of money due to nobody seeing them. Regardless of the 9 signs a parking ticket has still been issued despite us having proof of purchase. I explained to this woman over the phone that one of their staff members has kindly pointed us in the direction of where to get help and her response was “was it …. By any chance? Ill be speaking to him about this because he shouldn’t be telling you that”. What, he shouldn’t be helping customers where he can? Why would you disclose to customers how your going to discipline your staff? Very unprofessional! I can only thank the one helpful staff member that wanted to help us and tried to despite not even being on shift. Overall the disgusting attitude and behaviour from these staff members is outrageous and how she thought it was appropriate to behave that way with customers. Will not be returning to this place its a mess.

Bad service, girl didn’t even know what the cocktail I chose from their menu was, she said “what’s that” you tell me love, then proceeded to say she’s only got 1 of the 12 cocktails they had… has to go back and re choose only for her to ID me, I’m 32. Said f it and left, smelt weird in there anyway

We frequent this establishment on our dinner breaks and have to say the food and service is excellent only made more perfect by my tinted eyebrowed queen behind the bar, they say angels don't walk on the plains of this realm but in this case they genuinely do
