We came for breakfast but it had gone lunch time by the time we were served. We also advised that we had moved tables to inside as we were waiting in the wind and rain for over an hour and we were told "you can't do that. That won't go down well with the kitchen." I asked again at the bar if we could move tables due to the weather and someone else said it was absolutely fine so I'm unsure what the issue was. Although it took a while and the service of the staff wasn't great the food was really nice.

Just called in for a quick snack. Ordered a wrap and a chicken burger, both with a Pepsi Max. The Pepsi, or should I the 2 glasses of ice arrived, quickly followed by the food. The burger without the chips. No one came over to ask if everything was ok, which it wasn't. Tip: Remember to customise your drink to no ice. Otherwise, you get more ice than what sunk the Titanic.

Can not give a good review because I was not allowed in, perfectly sober, well dressed but the bouncer thought I was straight so therefore gave me some rubbish about single entry not allowed. Discrimination laws work both ways and I will be taking it further. Just for your information I am a gay guy who just happens to be straight acting. With the smoking ban coming these pubs will loose 12% of trade but this obviously does not bother them.

In Manchester on business and the Rain Bar is close to the hotel. From start to finish it was a really great experience. The food was lovely and portions very generous but what sold it was the staff working there and the service they provided. Very friendly and attentive as well as making some good recommendations on the beers available. Pretty quiet on a Wednesday evening but just right for the solo traveller.

After getting off the train in Manchester before meeting other friends before a flight to Riga we called into this nice old traditional pub for a drink and a bite to eat in the centre of the city. I had the chicken and bacon club sandwich on baguette with chips at £9.50 with an alcoholic drink which was plentiful and delicious on this lunchtime special.
