The Sedge Lynn in Manchester

A very small venue for weatherspoons. The customers were extremely rude to me and my friends, kept staring & whispering and some ladies took a video or a picture of us. don’t recommend.

Not a regular but usually visit when nearby. Great Value as always from Wetherspoons!

I'm a big fan of this Wetherspoons. I've never had a bad experience visiting. The staff are all polite and service is very efficient. Food is as good as you'd expect from a Spoons. You can't beat the value too.

Perfect place to slip into and relax. Free coffee refills or a cheap beer and a mind boggling list of food.

The orders were fast but the chips and other foods were cold so couldn’t enjoy them.

Cheap food and drink. Vegan options. Free wi-fi. No music so not too noisy . Love it. Lost a star because there isn't a single vegan dessert!

Less choice of dishes compared to the other Wetherspoon's, few staff and the staff was very unmotivated and unwilling to work.

Great meals and drinks at affordable prices

Venue not well heated! Food arrived quickly. However, it was not very hot and was cold before we finished. Not what we expected from Wetherspoons, and we definitely will not be returning :-(

Friendly place for some cheap food and drinks with a nice atmosphere that stems from the well preserved historical architecture. This beautiful building was originally built over a century ago as a temperance hall and it has an interesting history. Good range of food and drink options but the cheerful staff can be a bit slow to clear old plates n cutlery from the tables after the previous customers have left.

The bartender cain, kirstin were lovely and attentive and the manager kev was lovely too the atmosphere was great and not a single order wrong, wings were lovely and crispy and the service was impressive, there was a long line but were still quick to serve.

A unique venue with all the charms and conveniences of a Wetherspoons.

Worth a visit just to see the beautiful historic building. Food was severed timely and was fine. Drinks very cheap! Wetherspoons deserves applause for the large number of historic buildings they have preserved! Many are old cinemas, snooker, bingo halls ect.

Great selection of beer, good enough food for a pub, a nice, pleasant and safe pub with no drama or fights. The staff is friendly and helpful, the beer is cold and inexpensive. Probably my favourite spoons.

Portions have been reduced, unfortunately. Still good food and beer though.

I highly recommend this place in particular, and all the wetherspoon chain in general. Not only is it affordable but it also has great food (mix grill, gourmet burgers) and beers (brew dog). The app is great, specially to order from your table and pay through your phone.

Vinimos a desayunar, pero se había ido la hora del almuerzo para cuando nos sirvieron. También nos avisaron que habíamos movido mesas al interior ya que esperábamos bajo el viento y la lluvia durante más de una hora y nos dijeron "no puedes hacer eso. Eso no le caerá bien a la cocina. " Volví a preguntar en el bar si podíamos mover mesas debido al clima y alguien más dijo que estaba absolutamente bien, así que no estoy seguro de cuál era el problema. Aunque tomó un tiempo y el servicio del personal no era genial la comida era muy agradable.

Great Pub. My favourite Wetherspoons. Please always have Black Dragon cider available. The only problem is the draught from the door on the premises. People open it without thinking about customers inside. It makes a terrible draught..

Sandy is an exceptional member of the Wetherspoons team. His friendly and approachable attitude makes every visit enjoyable. He consistently provides excellent service, handling even the busiest times with efficiency and professionalism.

As usual with Wetherspoons pubs, the building has retained its history. Very high ceiling and a large interior. Great atmosphere.

Had a luvley vegan chilli, staff were helpful and friendly. The other customers were chatty and welcoming. I'll call in again sometime

Always well kept ales in here. Good service and usual Wetherspoons atmosphere. Gets busy.

Yet another crap breakfast in two out of three visits. Toast burned, bacon shrunk, hard and EXTREMELY carbonised, hash browns not cooked. This filth took them 30 mins to get ready with only 5 other people in there who hadn't ordered food. Used to be fine with other managers and team but not this crowd. Money back but a giggle between new manager and new waitress when I was out of earshot. A good example of what not to accept for my 7 year old.

If you wish to sip in beer along with food at eco price. A visit is must, chicken wings are my all time favourite and the best part you can have Indian dishes too. The staff is very friendly and you would find people of every age group around. I love this place and visit quite often it once I am done with all my stuff.

A fine place for a good cheap quality drink of your choice with a friendly atmosphere and good company. Try at least once. Reccomendid.

Pretty but bland, this 'spoons is in an old cinema building, and the vegan evangelists have flowered up the places around it, making it rather pleasant to look at and smell. I only dropped guests there today after a funeral, so I can't directly comment on the food, but I expect it's sensible and properly cooked like every other 'spoons I've been to, expect to pay 10-15 per plate, plus drinks.

Weatherspoons is everyone's favourite isn't it? But this location is eye catchy. The building itself is so beautiful with a seating area outside. We tried a couple of cocktails this time and some wings with chips. The wings were delicious and came with a choice of dip. The staff were very friendly. JD is a vibe I would say.

Went for Sunday morning breakfast. Been to many weather-spoons in Manchester. This place was quiet and calm. Crowded enough, but enough space. Good food and good service. Easy to find parking space.

Amazing prices. Half the normal rate, which is good anyway. Frwiindly, helpful staff. Pleasant atmosphere.

Strange barmaid claimed that most of the barrels needed changing , don't think she knew how to pour a decent pint .

Tomato was small on the vegan breakfast. Mushrooms on the small size but OK. Only a 19 minute wait for food despite busy breakfadt rush hour is very good. Ordered 11:54am.

The Sedge Lynn is a Wetherspoons pub, serving the standard menu. I was there for breakfast, which was served very fast - as always for the chain, it offered good value. At 0830am on a Sunday morning it was very quiet! Architecturally this is a fascinating building, built a century ago as a billiards hall, so is worth seeing for that reason.

The quality of the food isn't great but it's quite cheap, the service is great and the possibility to refill your hot drink for free is great :)

Great pub in a previous snooker club with lovely domed ceiling. Had Thai chicken buns with chips and two beers. Absolute bargain just love Witherspoon's

Mid afternoon service and meal excellent . Not as busy as most Wethespoon but place as character. Food and wine excellent value.

Good food and atmosphere but can be quite loud on match days

We ordered breakfast to the table. The food was delivered and the unlimited refills on the hot drinks really helped on this cold Saturday morning.

Very unfiendly wetherspoons. The venue looks as if it has not been cleaned in years. Staff are rude and aggressive. A friend of mine was refused alcohol despite being nearly 27 years old and showing valid identification. She was then told by a male staff member that he would be watching her from the bar to ensure she wouldn't drink an alcohol drink. Unsurprisingly this made her and our experience quite uncomfortable. Understandably people need to do their jobs but at the same time allowing several people clearly under the influence of drugs and actually openly consuming drugs in the toilets seems non sensical. Not being local seemed to have a drastic negative effect on our experience. The atmosphere in the pub was awful. 4 o clock in the afternoon and multiple people shouting and causing chaos while staff do nothing. The food was below average. Not expecting gourmet food but even by wetherspoons standards this was pretty low. Will not be returning and would absolutely not recommend The Sedge Lynn to anybody even if it was the last pub on the planet.

Not happy with the food as my eggs was cold and my boyfriend ended up with my eggs all over him which i wasnt happy about., my bfs eggs was cold also and my other friend tjs eggs was also cold, and shauns took some time to come he was waiting ages. Bad service. Need some more waitresses to serve the food.

Belting pub on a Friday night you might even see a scrap .. haha only messing all jokes aside is a good pub cheap and cheerful of course … does a belting pint of carlsberg I tell u that.. all day brekky get in there !! . Can’t beat a spoons . Al staff are cool and friendly . Majority of the time lol .. enjoy

The drinks were all flat and the cider tasted like it had gone off. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful.

If you like old buildings, this is a great place. Stain glass windows, stain glass lamp shades, and a real atmosphere of an age gone past. The usual fair of simple food and real ale at sensible prices. An old snooker Hall being put to an excellent use.

Experienced my first English breakfast here, plenty of it, very tasty, cooked well and would recommend it. I will return!! Thanks!

Never had an issue in this pub. One of the better Wetherspoons to drink in. The range of rotating ales is pleasant. Atmosphere is a bit too loud for me but to be expected for a Wetherspoons and a pub of its size.

To be fair, I went on a quiet afternoon. The food was great cooking, presentation and service were all brilliant, a very enjoyable (and affordable!) meal. What's not to like?

The drink that came with my son's meal was six months out-of-date. Bar staff didn't seem arsed. Says it all really. Food was to be expected.

Turned me away sat in front seating area because I had my dog 🐕 in this day and age quite sad

Good Wetherspoon pub in the centre of Chorlton in a historical building.

Excellent service. I’ve been here many times and never got disappointed. Food is good and staff always friendly. I had ordered something that they ran out at the moment and someone came in offering me extras to compensate.

Reduced portion sizes (got about 7 chips with a meal?) and upped prices. May as well eat out somewhere else and get your moneys worth.

Foods average but consistent and service is quick.

Nice indoor and outdoor dining area. The price seems cheaper than wetherspoon which in town.

The American breakfast was really nice and fast service. Staff lovely and friendly.

Paulicarus says he remembers me playing snooker here many years ago when this was a snooker hall but he is not old enough. A unique building for a Spoons. Great selection of real ale. Took a bitter from Great Newsome brewery. Very good...cheap..and 50p off voucher£1.76 for the pint. It is what it is...typical crowd enjoying a lively Sunday afternoon.

Just popped in with friend for a quick lunch. Be honest it's not my choice of place.

About what you can expect from a typical spoons however the staff and locals were especially friendly, and the building is very unique

Standard wetherspoons. Low score due to No dogs rule even outside which I think is ridiculous.

Had dinner here and when I saw the prices I wasn't expecting too much, but I was very impressed, I got fish chips peas with curry sause and a pint of coke for around £10 and was struggling to finish it coz it was so big. it was all freshly cooked and piping hot very good quality defo be returning. The bar staff were very friendly and made sure we was happy with the service and food.

Different kinds of cofee and no limit to refuel

This is my new favourite wetherspoons. The building was created by the Temperance Movement as an alcohol free billiards hall in c1907. It's a beautiful building and lovely space to have a bite or drink and very cheap too! When I visited I had the all day breakfast deal. Two eggs, two sausages, two bacon, beans and chips. The deal included an alcoholic drink for £5.99! It was well worth the money

Lovely spoons with a good history - it was once a pool hall. The carpet wasn’t sticky and staff were nice. Easily the best spoons I’ve been to in Manchester! The building is cool and I like the pool table lights still In place.

One of the friendliest cheekiest honest pubs you’ll ever visit. That good I made a few new mates* * grub ain’t bad either 👍
