Just got a coffee from this Costa. Honestly the worst Costa I’ve EVER visited. Both staff, male and female. So rude and miserable. The coffee, lukewarm. And they didn’t add the bean to my reward app.! If they don’t like working the late shift. Do us all a favour and find another job.! Terrible.!

Food itself okay, but the staff are terrible !!! We were sat quite quickly, but left waiting - and scolded at for asking where we order - just told to 'go up and eat', on the assumption that we both wanted the carvery. What we did eat was good though, no complaints there. We'd ordered a drink which we took to the table and finished, we then waited to see if someone might ask if we wanted another - literally no-one came back, not to ask if we wanted to order a drink or desert, literally nothing. We upped and went to the bar and said we needed to pay for dinner - on cue waitress heads across, face of thunder almost happy to have stopped us. We gladly paid for dinner, got another beer and left. Now, I don't know the etiquette of the Toby Carvery and if we should have been gone to the bar to get a drink to bring back to the restaurant..... food okay, staff may have been busy or had an off night.

On arrival, after booking a table online, we entered the bar and there was nobody behind it and nobody to advise where we could sit. It took me some time to find someone who said we could sit anywhere. We found a table and ordered at the bar after choosing from the menu. We then sat to await arrival but became cold and had to move tables twice as the heating seemed very low (others were wearing padded jackets while eating so was a general problem). When it arrived the food was excellent - steaks cooked perfectly and very tasty. The starter of chicken wings was also excellent. Overall the food was delicious and the value for money also very good. It is a shame that the low temperature and lack of someone to greet on arrival let the food down and will certainly put others off.

This place needs new bouncers out celebrating my sister in law's 40th Birthday when my 18 year old nephew got punched by a 40 plus year old man. My husband jumped un to protect him. The bouncers or so called bouncers came behind and chocked him in a headlock threw me across the floor. My husband thought he was going to die. You should be disgusted hiring little boys that think they can treat people like that. And sort your sofas out looks like a dogs eaten half them. Vile place. I'll be taking this further with the police!!

Muy recomendable, fuimos con amigos para el deporte, reservamos una excelente mesa en la parte delantera, nada demasiado problema. . pedido bebidas / comida en la aplicación, muy rápido, gran servicio y un buen ambiente. . volveremos pronto

Abysmal. Sorprendente, no puedo creer lo horrible que fue el desayuno, y cómo los estándares han bajado. Regularmente voy por café y pastel por la tarde, y eso está bien. Aunque algunas rebanadas de pan de hojalata son ridículamente caras. Pero debido a las circunstancias, me encontré ordenando el desayuno vegetariano. Hace años, cuando solía comer allí, había un gerente masculino muy agradable y eficiente, y la comida era deliciosa. Obviamente ya se ha ido, y los estándares y especialmente la comida son terribles. El desayuno era una gran porción, pero era tan malo que no era comestible. Miré a mi alrededor para devolverlo, y me quejé con el gerente, pero estaba tan ocupado y lleno, que habría tomado una eternidad solicitar al gerente. Ellos - obviamente - no están probando sus ofrendas de alimentos, y los hongos estaban crudos, insípidos, acuosos, y acababa de quedar fuera en la placa caliente -imo- de crudo. Los tomates, eran completamente insípidos, y acuosos - funestos. No había huevos escalfados, solo huevos fritos aceitosos, gomosos y congelados que había quedado fuera en la placa caliente. ¡Podría seguir y seguir! Estaba/todavía estoy conmocionado por lo bajos que han caído los estándares. Aparte del té de la tarde, lo evitaría a toda costa. Para que John Lewis permita este deterioro en su café, hay algo gravemente malo.

Staff are mostly pretty rude. Woman who looks after the self service tills of a night is a nutter who loves being in control of the carrier bags.

Llamé aquí para desayunar con mi marido, hermano y cuñada después de recogerlos en el aeropuerto de Liverpool. ¡Ojalá no nos hubiéramos molestado! Tocino frío que rebota en la pared, hachís morenos sin patata en que estaban que seco, medio tomate que era verde y duro. No hay rollos para el desayuno. Lo único fresco era el huevo frito y las tostadas. Larga cola para las bebidas por lo que cualquier esperanza de conseguir un desayuno caliente fue totalmente eliminado. Esto fue justo después de las 10 am. Si va a servir el desayuno hasta las 11 - 11. 30 am es necesario asegurarse de que es fresco y buena relación calidad-precio que esta mañana las ofertas ciertamente no lo eran. No se moleste en ir aquí, también puede tirar su dinero por el inodoro. Ah y me habría quejado, pero como se suponía que era el regalo de mi hermano por recogerlos en el aeropuerto, me pidió que no lo hiciera.

Visited the Britannia for a mid afternoon carvery while in Liverpool. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and there was no issues with finding a table. I proceeded to book the meal through the Stonehouse app (the table had no number) but with deductive reasoning we worked it out. After placing the order we approached the hotplate to collect a plate and select the meat only to be told we needed a physical ticket before we would be served. (The till being at the opposite end of the pub) After collecting the paper tickets we were served the meat portions and I was absolutely astonished at the meagre amount we were served. I would have expected more if it was a child’s meal. I spoke with the manager who made it clear that the portions were correct because 4 types of meat are served and that each customer gets 155 grams of meat on a carvery. (See attached pics) The runner beans and cauliflower were both tepid and I had to wait several minutes for roast potatoes. This meant that the meal wasn’t very warm when I finally got to the table. The plates and the glasses were also dirty. Mouth marks around the rim of the glasses and a rough grainy texture on the underside of the plates. Maybe the dishwasher needed cleaning but this level of cleanliness is unacceptable. (This was pointed out to a member of staff who merely asked if I wanted the drinks replacing) This place failed miserably on quality and quantity.

Llegamos y caminamos en nadie para sentarnos en la recepción así que encontramos un asiento y fuimos al bar a pedir comida y bebidas Joven barman grosero y necesita un curso de servicio al cliente lo antes posible Dije si necesita mi número de mesa y dijo bueno sí ayuda bastante groseramente Le mostré dónde habíamos tomado nuestros asientos y dijo que necesita que le den una mesa Dije que no hay nadie en la mesa o alrededor para ayudarnos a lo que dijo groseramente ¿estás seguro cuando podía ver claramente que no había nadie de pie en la mesa que luego consiguió que su colega nos sentara estábamos sentados junto al fuego en una mesa encantadora originalmente, pero no nos llevaron a la zona trasera que estaba lleno y ruidoso, mientras que la otra parte del restaurante se dejó vacío, no nos aconsejaron por el mismo dicho joven que tomó nuestras órdenes que los refrescos eran ilimitados, así que terminó pagando £ 4. 15 porque si hubiéramos sabido que mi hija habría tomado más vasos, esto debería explicarse en el pedido.
