PIMA bar at the Hilton Liverpool in Liverpool

The staff were rude, the drinks are expensive, the toilets had no loo role and there was White powder on the side, the vent above was full of dust, we were put in the so called VIP section a tiny room the back of the seating area fell off and the music was way too loud, would never return there are many great bars in Liverpool this is not one

We came here for a steak, on a Friday evening in March 2024. It was disappointing to say the least. Walking into the main reception, it looks pleasant enough with people enjoying a drink. We were taken into the restaurant area and it was a bit basic. The tables and chairs were more like you'd expect in a works canteen and not part of a hotel. The starters were poor and the steak (medium) was overcooked and simply too tough to eat. The waiter was very pleasant. He saw our disappointment as well as the uneaten steaks. He was apologetic but there's not much more to be said. We'd received vouchers to use here and will not be visiting again.

We had booked for 2:30 yesterday (2nd March) and had very high hopes for this as Hilton is renowned for being a good hotel chain and we have eaten in several hotel restaurants previously to this. How wrong we were. This experience was bought for us as a Christmas gift using the activity superstore voucher and we can confidently say we would not recommend this to anyone. Starting with the sandwiches on the bottom tier, we had some kind of chorizo/salami with a very strong horseradish sauce that was incredibly unpleasant. We also had some form of salmon sandwich that again had a very strong taste of something other than salmon and we also did not eat these. The only half decent sandwich on the lower tier was the ham salad and even with this, the lettuce was wilted and starting to brown which was very off putting. The cakes on the middle tier were all stale minus the macarons (these were the only item we enjoyed in the whole experience). Not only did the cakes taste stale but they had a harder exterior suggesting they had been baked and left out some time earlier. The top tier was scones with jam and clotted cream, these were completely inedible and were rock hard. We tried to cut into them and were unable to without hacking at them with the knives provided to then find them dry and crumbly inside and again stale.. Not once during our afternoon tea did a member of staff come over and ask if everything was alright with it or we would have raised this issue but after waiting 20 minutes for a pot of tea and a water between the 4/5 staff members we saw, it seemed the staff would not have cared anyway. We left very dissatisfied and went to a local McDonald’s instead, what a waste of our time and the parking charge. Will be going elsewhere next time!

Myself and friends dine in the Exchange restaurant quite often. When looking for somewhere to have drinks with my family to celebrate my 60th birthday I suggested the Pima Bar. I honestly wished I had stayed at home. The staff acted like they did not want to be there and we honestly felt treated like rubbish off the street. I asked for 2 bottles of soft drinks to not be poured out as I don't like it all in the glass at once. I then got a look that would kill and was asked if I wanted the bottles opening. I am not sure how else they were expecting me to open them, with my teeth maybe. I had to ask for glasses then was only given one. When my husband did not quite hear what was said and the person serving, who appeared to be the bar manager, had to repeat himself he did so in an annoyed manner. So much for the equality act, my husband is deaf and he was made to feel embarrassed. The most astounding thing was a service charge added to the bill, now considering we went to the bar ourselves and carried the drinks back to the table ourselves I think this was a cheek. After this experience I doubt very much I would return to the restaurant with my large group of friends which will be their loss.

The bar/restaurant manager Mihai was fantastic. So was his staff. Very friendly and remembered our drinks each night we came back. Highly recommend!

Stopped by for a drink, and a break from a busy day. Unfortunately it was in the swing of Christmas party season so it was very busy. The football was also playing which and was quite loud so you couldn’t relax. People were being sick in the toilets and they were u clean and lacking in loo roll. It was all quite off putting.

Good food, wonderful music (was shazaming basically all of the playlist) and lovely service (Mike did really well) !!!

Not really the standard we were expecting. Our small table was by the window which overlooks the bus station. However a large skip was on the pavement and the fringe curtain certainly didn't obscure it ! The scones were ok with plenty of jam and cream but the cake selection included one of each type between two of us. The sandwiches consisted of four triangles of bread with uninteresting fillings . I had a caffetier of coffee but the small tea pot of tea my husband had was soon gone and we had to try several times to get the attention of a staff member for a refill. We had a voucher which had been a birthday present and to be honest if I had paid myself I would have felt very disappointed.

We booked an afternoon tea for my 65th birthday treat really looking forward to it. We were assured there was a gluten-free version on booking it. We waited over half an hour to be served when it arrived; it was a non gluten-free one. They took it away, and another 15 minutes later, the proper ones arrived. The gluten-free one was very poor choice; the sandwiches were basic ones I could have any day. The cake choice was an awful chocolate version of which were 2, and a raspberry mousse type the scone that was good only had cream with it to say I was disappointed was a understatement. My friend was just as disappointed with hers. If you are expecting something special I would not go.

If you paid full price you would not be happy. We had a groupon voucher which was 25.00. For that you get 2 x prosecco, lots of tea and coffee, sandwiches cakes and scones. So for 12 50 each the prosecco and coffee were the best part. Sandwiches were very average. White bread was stale. Cakes were ok but nothing homemade. Scones were ok. Overall not bad for what we paid but if we had paid full price we would not be happy. The service was good though. Hope that helps.

We both love Liverpool and went for 4 nights for our wedding anniversary. On the day of our anniversary, for a treat I booked us in the Hilton for a sparkling afternoon tea. We got our tea cups and Prosecco immediately. I was very disappointed with the meagre portions of the afternoon tea. The bread was stale, the scone was hard. I had to ask for our pot of tea, which when it arrived the water was luke warm. This was replaced with a new pot of hot tea, but at this point we had finished our food. I drink my tea black and the tea had a slimy film on it, that clung to the cup. I couldn't drink it!!!! Worst afternoon tea I had ever had,

The area was not pleasant, it was like a basic cafe. Bare tables, food on the floor, table not laid. It really wasn't special. I'm not sure if everybody who'd purchased a deal via Groupon was put in this zone as we noticed lovely booths where people had eaten their afternoon tea enroute to the toilets. That said, the food looked the same & wasn't great. Do not pay full price! We had one tiered plate stand between four of us. All in all extremely underwhelming. Would not return. Wouldn't recommend. Staff were nice but run off their feet.

Having missed out on two birthday celebrations due to lockdowns, my hopes were high that my experience at the Exchange restaurant for an afternoon tea would be a special one. Positive points: service was good and responsive to my requests for a fresher pot of tea. Cakes were good. Not so positive: the tea which was brought was absolutely flavourless, with no additional pot of hot water to top it up. My request for a pot of Earl Grey was dealt with quickly and it did have some flavour. The top up later seemed to be the same tea as was brought initially. There were 8 small sandwiches of which 5 were egg, 1 tuna, 2 ham. Bread was mainly the white sliced variety. I hoped to have been asked for my sandwich preferences, such as smoked salmon. The 2 scones were dry, with one tiny pot of cream and one of jam, no butter, which would have improved the dry scones. The cakes were nice, particularly the red velvet one, however I really would have liked more sandwiches and a better range of fillings. At £19 per person this wasn’t cheap. The ambiance of the restaurant felt like an airport bar as it was part of the lobby. There was no nice outside view even though this place is by the river. They used to serve the tea on the 7th floor but this option has closed, though it still appears in some online adverts for the teas. That would have made the afternoon tea much more of an occasion.

The pictures make it look great and I was looking forward to it but it is not, the carpet was disgusting there was even a huge bleach stain on it, The ladies toilets had 3 loos which considering the size of the bar was ridiculous, I looked up in the toilet and the vent above was horrific it had what looked like 10 years of dust on it, the tables have glass on that covers horribly marked tables, the staff were rude no one seemed to care at all, the whole place needs redoing, I am sure it was nice at one time but now it is just grubby, I saw someone complain and the female staff just walked away smirking she then went to this guy in a suit who looked like the kid from Home Alone who I presume was in charge and he said to her Fxxx them if they don't like it they can fxxx off somewhere else. The atmosphere was horrible you could cut with a knife at the time, The next day we had afternoon tea which again was underwhelming the scones were definitely not fresh and again the staff were miserable I would expect somewhere like The Hilton to have highly trained professional staff, but there was nothing professional about any of them. I don't know if its that they are underpaid or just don't care but either way, I will not return you only have to look at the other reviews to see I was not the only one to think this

Really disappointing experience at afternoon tea. Service was really poor, requiring us to prompt staff numerous times for out order. Food was finally brought out 50mins after table reservation time. Bread was stale & most sandwiches on white bread (not our favourite). Overheard other diners also complaining about the service & food quality. Would not book again & would not recommend.

It's OK here. I'm not a great fan but we were staying in the hotel, so it was convenient for drinks. It was a bit cold, despite being July and the service wasn't all that despite it being quite empty. I wouldn't come here if I was not stopping over in the hotel

We came on a sunny Sunday afternoon around 4pm for a quick drink before heading home, it was almost empty (1 other couple) so we decided to make the most of the weather and and sit outside , service was painfully slow even tho there was 3 staff , my cocktail glass had old red lipstick marks still left on it so she changed it for a fresh one but it tasted awful! And they pretty expensive too. Overall poor experience! would not come back

We had just arrived in Liverpool and realised we would struggle to find a bar for the Englands euro champ game so we decided we would watch the game at the Pima bar we ordered a coke and a pint of draft lager which took a while to arrive but when we had the bill it was £10.15 Yes £6.00 for a pint of lager and £4.15 for a coke I thought we had arrived in Liverpool not London,it made it worse when we could only see one tv which looked if it had lost its colour.We will not be back!

Ok firstly this is such a lovely little outdoor setting on first sight but we sat down ordered food and drinks outside as first night in Liverpool we were hungry and needed to eat before we walked any further. Drinks were lovely and reasonably priced. Starters were very nice and again well priced for a city centre chain hotel. The most disappointing was the mains…..we ordered more drinks to come……took forever to get someone’s attention considering how quite they were inside and outside on this Tuesday night. The mains came asked if we wanted sauces etc a standard….these came after a delay however we asked for cutlery too (not unreasonable?) this never arrived….tried to get someone’s attention….nobody inside or out around to get attention? We ate our overpriced under whelming what was basically a very dry toastie and chips with our hands with no napkins or forks….said this on my way to toilet to manager and asked for bill….no discount or apology given……£70 for poor service and quality of food. I’m sure no chef would let that leave the pass so who was in charge??? Very disappointed in Hilton on this occasion.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to The Bierkeller when we decided to drop into Pima Bar and what a great first time visit we had. Part of the Hilton Hotel ,the interior is fabulous, opulent, lovely decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside, this is were we chose to sit as until the 17th of May its outside service only, we track and traced, we were allocated a table were we ordered a beer each, we chose Love Lane Brewery pale ale ,these were served in excellent condition, we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar .My pale ale was outstanding, a rich,well balanced pale ale bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a real ale style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of,it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and socialising again albeit socially distanced. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another pale ale each before we moved on and for a first time visit to here we were totally impressed. Pima Bar is easy to locate along Thomas Steers Way in the Liverpool One area.A wonderful bar,most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Looking for a nice ‘outdoors’ drink whilst wandering around a partially reopened Liverpool, Pima Bar - which is essentially part of the Hilton hotel near Chavasse Park – looked to be pretty decent. A good spread of tables around the hotel with a decent selection of drinks and a nice atmosphere (music playing, sport on the TV).Didn’t have to wait for a table on any of the occasions we visited that weekend (3) and service was friendly and efficient – good selection of beer and other drinks and a nice, central location if you like to watch the people as you drink.Didn’t try the food this time but I have eaten in the hotel bar here previously, in pre-Covid times, and it was always decent, particularly for a few light snacks and nibbles before heading out for something more substantial.

A gift of afternoon tea and it was super. Very nice presentation, very decent sandwiches, cakes and scones and good tea and coffee. Staff especially the waiter were excellent and attentive. A very nice space to sit in and relax.

Not to be a Karen but... Firstly the menu was completely different to online. We waited what felt like days for our meals and drinks. When the mains came the meat was not cooked as we’d asked, admitted by the waiter. I’ve worked in a restaurant so I can appreciate the struggles of a fast past environment, but this restaurant was near enough empty. Also a crazy man made an appearance at one point wearing his face mask basically around his ankles and nothing was done to remove this man.

Had a Groupon voucher for 4 cocktails, the barman scanned the voucher and told us the cocktail menu was on the table and just come up to order, opted for the Hazelnut Espresso Martini, ordered at the bar and the waitress brought it to the table, was not disappointed it was amazing, that good we had 4

We came here using a groupon and wasn't sure what to expect. When we arrived it was very busy and there were no tables free. We went to the bar with our voucher and were shown to a fantastic reserved table. We were told we could have any cocktail we wanted and the staff even provided table service. We felt like VIPs!! There was a brilliant live singer playing too and the atmosphere in the bar was just wonderful. We did have to pay a Saturday night supplement of £5 each which we didn't mind at all. A fab night, great staff and lovely place - so glad we came here!

Great night at the Pima Bar on Jan 25th. The atmosphere and cocktails were great. Music had a good vibe with Joe the DJ setting the tone, he really got the crowd up dancing all night! He was very friendly and told us the best places to visit. We will definitely be returning.

Buen servicio rápido del personal mientras estábamos esperando para nuestra reserva de té de la tarde previamente reservada en el restaurante. Solo lo clasifiqué en un 3 porque las bebidas eran muy caras, 10. 00 para una Coca-Cola Light y luego una Coca-Cola Malibu y Diet, pero era un hotel en una ciudad, así que supongo que era razonable.

Always sometging going on in the Hilton, events and socialising, the bar is great, nice comfy private seating layout and good selection of drinks. Nice friendly bar staff making a great experience, always fun!

Mi hermana y yo teníamos un cupón para 4 cócteles para 20, el bar Pima no decepcionó, nuestros cócteles eran deliciosos, de hecho, los mejores que tuvimos durante nuestro viaje también a Liverpool. Kalum fue nuestro servidor, fue muy amable y conocedor, es un activo para el servicio de atención al cliente de 5 estrellas del negocio de él, definitivamente volveremos y recomendamos una visita para tomar un cóctel o dos:)

We had booked for a meal in the exchange restaurant if the hotel but had a Groupon voucher for four cocktails between two of us The waitress was great and told us we could have two before our meal and return after the meal, which we did.The bar was totally heaving as it was a Friday night tribute act. However, the waitress saw me in the melee and nodded her acknowledgement so I waited for her. I thought the staff were working really hard and never showed that pressure on their faces. I thought the member of staff was absolutely superb so I left her a good tip. Excellent services, especially above and beyond, does deserve to be rewarded.

Went with my grandsons for lunch and they loved it, I also used my Tastecard which was great, would recommend it if you need a quiet lunch.

Evite a toda costa, no se deje engañar pensando que vale la pena, pero no lo es. Los bocadillos y los pasteles no estaban frescos. Habían empezado a ir duro. Unfortunately this place is not what you'd imagine. Afternoon tea was a disaster. The most bland sandwiches and gross cakes. I can see how an effort has been made to make this look presentable. I suggest they remove this as it clearly is not working. I was optimistic considering the negative reviews we're slightly out dated. This should be removed from Groupon as it is a scam to have people look forward to. The reality is a dull tasteless selection. Would be better heading over to McDonald's for a mclurry and a cappuccino

Decidimos ir al Hilton para cenar después de un ajetreado viaje de compras navideñas, recibidos por los gerentes de los bares que nos mostraron un encantador puesto, comieron una excelente hamburguesa con papas fritas y un par de copas de vino, hasta que llegó una gran multitud. de trajes pn su navidad se volvió amd se hizo cargo del lugar, pero el personal de servicio era fantástico y se aseguró de que nos cuidaron, bien recomendado?

The music was so loud I could barely hear myself think. Service was patchy, although staff were pleasant enough. Food was OK, but expensive for the quality and quantity. All in all, an unpleasant experience.

Called into this bar for a drink whilst waiting to meet a couple of friends.Ordered 1 beer and a glass of wine at the bar.Price was astronomical so queried it and was told £8.50 for the wine plus £4.80 for the beer plus a 10% service charge added on.WHAT??? And why are you adding service charge on I asked.Dunno was the reply it just gets added on automatically.Well "take it off" says I which she duly did.What a farce. EVERYONE BEWARE!!! When visiting this bar query your bill or you will have an extra 10% added on without your knowledge.DISGUSTING!!!!!

Celebrando 2 aniversarios de bodas, 4 de nosotros decidimos tomar el té de la tarde en este lugar. Yo no lo recomendaría . Recibido con una cara agria (habíamos reservado) nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Los bocadillos eran insípidos, los pasteles eran como algodón, los bollos eran duros y la crema y mermelada eran patéticos simplemente no es suficiente para todos nosotros. Ahora el café estaba en una jarra sin sabor y solo con leche fría. Tuve que pedir leche caliente. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados. Algunos miembros del personal eran sonrientes y agradables. En total, no iremos allí de nuevo.

He intentado utilizar un sólo cupón groupon. Me dijeron que tenía que reservar con 24 horas de antelación para cócteles. Esto nunca ha sido refrendada antes. El bar no estaba completo. Había estado sentado en una cabina silenciosa.

Whilst staying at the Hilton hotel last August with my partner we had a quick drink in the bar before heading out and having used the bar before we knew what to expect. Nice chilled atmosphere and although a little pricey drinks were nice.

I visited with a group of friends last week and we all enjoyed a couple of cocktails during our catchup. As always, the cocktails were amazing and made with premium spirits and quality mixers/juice, this is not always the case in a lot of other bars, regardless of what you pay.

Marlon davis was a pleasure, he made us an amazing carribean cocktail. He really looked after us and made us feel very welcome, cant praise him enough!!!

Marlon, tailored made out delicious fruity afternoon cocktails, we let him invent on our behalf after a few hints!! Top quality sat outside in the sun. Thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed a couple of drinks and cocktails whilst staying in the hotel. Great strawberry daiquiri cocktail! We enjoyed the booths which make it more intimate and private. Nice bar, friendly staff.

Used a groupon voucher and had a lovely afternoon tea, the food was fresh and tasty. The place was very busy but staff were friendly and accommodating and we were not rushed.

We only used the bar once during our stay at the hotel because most of the time the noise level was intolerably loud. We had a pleasant good value lunch with very good service.

We've been here four times now. Its now part of our regular schedule when we can escape the kids. The only reason we first went in here is the Groupon vouchers that allow you to get 4 cocktails for £20. I mean, who'd just wander into the Hilton? It's quite intimidating right? Well get in there. It's such a nice place to be and the Pima bar staff are all really nice and down to earth.

We went today on arrival the lady was so friendly. As I had my daughter who is 14 she offered her a mocktails instead of prosseco the food came it was nice enough. The cakes was small and cut in half.

Very poor, mediocre cakes, very poor selection of time ny sandwhiches on value bread, not a bit of salad in sight, Luke warm coffee, dirty cutlery, 1 pot of ham between 2 scones. Glad it was a groupon offer.

Teníamos planeado ir al bar de gin en el Hilton, pero estaba lloviendo y como era estar al aire libre sólo estaba cerrado. Nos pareció que la zona principal de recepción tenía un bar grande llamado Pima, que es en ciertos momentos un gran local para ver fútbol en vivo premier en un bar de categoría. Fuimos al Hilton para el té de la tarde, tomando algunos amigos de fuera de la ciudad que querían ver Liverpool. Cuando llegamos, el bar estaba muy lleno no pima una sorpresa - un montón de tés, y extremadamente ruidoso con varios grandes fiestas de celebración.

A baby seagull wandered in infront of us... That was the most memorable part of our evening. It was not disturbing anyone, because there was nearly no one there. I ordered a Greek salad, and thought it could not go wrong. There were lots of leaves in it and little tomato or cucumber. In fact, it did not really fit the description at all. I knew something was wrong when I saw the balls of mozzarella dotted on top. The waiter was nice. When we asked him how a goat cheese salad could be made with mozzarella, he said that they must have run out and offered to take it back. I did not want to make my hosts feel awkward, as they were paying. In the end, the cost of my salad was taken off the bill, and they gave the waiter a make-up tip...

Well it's been a while since we have been at the Liverpool one ( Hilton) Yes very good & the Staff all very nice & very Friendly ,they are always pleased to see you Visit them again ,All the Staff are lovely But Kat was a great help to me & This cap came to the front Desk & was Rather Rude to Kat ,who was very helpful to him ,But she was excellent she handled the Situation extremely well & extremely polite ,The Rooms all excellent ,But I do have to say my Husband & I were in Room 508 & they have some tiles cracked on the Floor & when we had to go into use the Bathroom we had to put Towels on the Floor ,to make sure we did not injure our feet ,I did tell Staff ,but nothing was done while we were their & we spent 3 Days their ,but all in all Food Excellent & Its very very Clean So yes we sure will be visiting them all again very soon we hope ,But I do Hope Kat ,& all the Staff are doing good & The Staff in the Dining Area all excellent also But it does seem they are cutting down on their Staff ,But I'll give it 99% Only for the Bathroom Floor ,It's my pleasure to send this Review ,so as other people will enjoy their visit as much as we 4 Did ,xxxxxxxxxx

Extremely disappointed with our recent visit for a Wowcher prosecco and canapes to the Hilton in Liverpool, the Prosecco was a Galanti extra dry which can be bought for around £8 a bottle on-line, the Prosecco is not even listed on the hotel drinks menu. The last two occasions we have taken up this offer we were provided with the Bottega Gold Prosecco which is listed on the hotel drinks menu and would have met the deal conditions. The deal was for £19 which should have cost £58, needless to say I won't be buying another offer for this deal.

Had drinks before going out and it had a good seating area with a large screen for tv but could do with replacing as not good picture at all. Leaden staff serving. Pricey beers at 4.90 for stella but discount for residents 5 to 7.

We arrived at approximately 8.30pm and were put in a small room with glitter curtains and were all squashed in. I'm still unsure why we we're put in here, as we didn't all fit. We were then moved to some seats by the entertainment; a male singer who was very good. We waited around 20 minutes for the waitress to take our order and around another, at least 15 minutes for our drinks. All the cocktails were lovely. To make things simple for the staff, we just ordered the same round again. After another 20 minutes they started to trickle them over. My friends and I waited and waited... another half an hour passed.. we we're now thirsty. I went over to the bar and asked the waitress where our drinks were as we were part of the group and she dismissed me rudely, said the barman was busy and said they were coming. It wasn't busy in there. After another ten minutes I went to the bar again and the barman a) didn't have a clue what I was saying and b) blatantly couldn't be bothered. The waitress then asked me THREE times what we wanted. She then came over to the table to ask me again. I thought she was joking at his point! Half of our party had now moved on,which wasn't our intentions. The drinks eventually came and a Liverpudlian waitress came and apologised and offered some free drinks. It was now 10.45pm and I had drank two martini glasses of drink. It was painfully slow and I wouldn't bother going again. There are nicer places to drink in Liverpool with bar staff who like their jobs...go to them instead.

We had not booked but were found a table in the foyer which wasn't ideal but took it anyway . We waited 30mins with no drink or food or explanation . When we did ask they were very nice but still waited a further 20 mins! Food was decent but not many sandwiches for the price . A very poor experience and would not return !

We arrived at the Pima bar and stood at the bar for 5 minutes or so before a young lady behind the bar took the copy of my reservation and asked us to find a table that wasn't reserved. We took a seat and waited for our food and Prosecco after 40 minutes I approached one of the waiters and asked how long does service take as a rule. He asked who had initially served me. He apologised and asked me to bear with him he would sort our table. We had our items withing 6 minutes and a upgraded Prosecco.. Ryan was the waiters name and he saved the day. He is a very personable guy. Every one got a great level of service from him. The service provided by Ryan was 2nd to none. He was the reason The Hilton Liverpool got an excellent review. He turned a poor score and scathing review to a top box review. Thanks Ryan

Good atmosphere for a hotel bar when we availed ourselves of its services for a late night drink. Friendly and professional staff and very clean and tidy.

Been here a few times and the title of my review is so true , we have had some really nice afternoon drinks ,afternoon teas ,also evening cocktails , staff really friendly . Can be slightly untidy after busy periods but other than that we enjoy this bar

Spent Sunday afternoon having proseco and canapés, after purchasing a voucher, the atmosphere and staff were lovely however the canapés were a bit of a let down, no variety, extremely small and bruschetta was not very fresh. Really enjoyed the prosecco. Don't bother with the voucher and just go and enjoy a bottle of prosecco instead.

We were booked in to the Pima Bar for Afternoon tea with Bubbly as a Christmas gift from my family, via Groupon. We sat down and had a glass of Prosecco to start. We decided to have a bottle of Prosecco as the day was beautiful outside. The food arrived and we have to say the amount of sandwiches you receive was rather small, and could of been substituted by the cakes given instead. What we received was nice to eat though. By chance we met up with our relatives who had just arrived as we were 75% finished. They had bought two small bottles of Lager and were asked for £10. I wondered, how much is this Prosecco going to cost ? When leaving I went to pay the bill for the Prosecco, and guess what, £43 a bottle. Even the waitress behind the bar said it was extortionate. Never agian Hilton, you are a RIP OFF !

Visited here in the past and really enjoyed, usually when staying in the hotel. Visited here one evening when out in town before seeing Russel Howard. We had a drink which was a little more than other bars which we knew from previous visited. Looking around the bar though, it is now looking old and tired and in need of some TLC. The actual bar had drips of stale liquid staining the edges and the remnants of direst smeared across it as though it had been washed with a dirty cloth.Nice drink but in need of some care and attention.

Whenever the word "Groupon" is mentioned you always feel you are going to be treated differently by hotel and restaurant staff.However this is not the case in Pima. We were greeted by Maureen who could not have been more helpful or welcoming. She was in charge of the dining team and it was clear to see how well it was being run. Prosecco was with us as we took our seats. The waiting on staff were well presented and courteous as you would expect from a high end hotel. The afternoon tea itself was good quality with more than enough items for two people. The atmosphere was a relaxed one which also made the visit memorableOverall a great experience that I would highly recommend.....with or without a voucher

Initially stood at the bar for service and we were not acknowledged by at least 3 staff. As the staff appeared to be doing table service we took a table. A further 15 minute wait followed until we managed to engage with a waiter. Unfortunately he did not return! About 5 minutes later a waitress took our order. We were using a voucher on this visit supposedly to include includes a bottle of Prosecco to share, alongside a mouthwatering array of six delicate canapés each, including goat’s cheese and caramelised onion tarts and tomato and mozzarella bruschetta. We received a bottle Prosecco and 11 supposed canapes of which only the soup offered any taste. We did not receive goat’s cheese, caramelised onion tarts or tomato and mozzarella bruschetta. Very disappointing experience of the Hilton brand!!

Nice place to sit for quiet drink. Bit pricy so we only had one drink and headed into town for cheaper drinking

The negative review stems from the price and below average offering of the afternoon tea.The little pot of filter coffee was ok. Wife's fruit tea (hot water and tea bag) no problem.The balance of savoury and sweet was all wrong - with the tiniest of sandwiches and then just a few miniature Iceland-style party desserts. Sandwiches were fresh and scones were warm, but overall just a mini-shelf of disappointment. Especially in comparison to offerings from other restaurants and cafes. Managed to eat sandwiches and scone because we were both quite hungry - but had to leave the rest because it was all too sickly sweet.Even with a voucher offer how they can justify even £25 for this is quite shocking. I can honestly say a couple of sandwich meal deals from m&s would have been much preferred over this. The surroundings aren't worth paying anything extra for either - overcrowded with tables to close to one another, with dark and uninspiring decor. I don't think a lot of the other patrons seemed to over enamoured by it either. Small point was dirty cups on table when we sat down and disinterested staff. Won't be going back.

Afternoon tea, presented on a modern block, was a nice selection of sandwiches and little cakes. Scones fresh but tiny amount of cream. However very nice, but the service was the worst I have ever had in my many years.Shown to our table and left, no "be with you in a minute" or anything. After about 10 min we asked a passing waitress if we had been forgotten. She said "no" and moved on???. Well eventually two glasses of fizz arrived followed by the food. No conversation no checking to see if all was well, or if we had any requests etc....no customer service whatsoever. Extremely poor, better service from a transport cafe.

The food in here is lovely and so well presented as too are the cocktails my personal fave is the amaretto sour it tastes so good. I would also recommened eating in the restaurant part if you can get a good deal on groupon or living social it is so worth it.

My wife and I had cocktails here last week and it was a wonderful experience. The location is good, the atmosphere zinging and the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Plus the cocktails were excellent too. All in all, a must visit place to visit in Liverpool.

Booked in January and we were really looking forward to it. Arrived and was immediately surprised as it wasn't what I expected looked like a supermarket canteen, We had to wait for a table then a harassed lady came to tell us she would get it ready for us but they were very busy as a member of staff had gone home as her Mum was ill.Prosecco was brought over for us but we waited more than 1/2 hour for our sandwiches to arrive and we were only brought tea and coffee when we asked for it and the coffee was cold.One member of our party asked if she could order a cocktail the order was never taken and she had to ask another member of saff before receiving it.Sandwiches were average with no choice of fillings and vegan option avocado wrapped in lettuce and fruit. Sorry not good enough even the supermarkets carry a large range of vegan options we had to go somewhere to get her something to eat as she was still hungary. No one came to ask us if everything was alright ,Disappointed by the whole experience and will not be returning, I have been to other hotels for afternoon tea and it has been a lovely experience but sadly not here. We did voice our concerns when we went to pay for the cocktail and the member of staff would not accept payment for it but we would rather of had an enjoyable afternoon and paid for the cocktail.

Visited here at the end of Feb for prosecco & canapés for my mums birthday. Hannah serves us she was amazing and an absolute credit to the Pima bar. I used a group on voucher and the offer was so good I bought it again and went with my friend yesterday! Completely different story! They did the same as a previous person says and tried to give us galanti prosecco which isn't on the wine list!! I pointed this out and they did bring bottega which is what I had paid for!I had booked a booth over the phone with Ryan for 3.30, we arrived at 3.25 and were told there was no booths available! One did become available fifteen mins into our visit so we moved ourselves the staff member who checked us in didn't come over and move us and didn't come over to see if everything was ok, she was new but should have been trying to make an impression.The canapés were awful and we didn't eat these, again no body asked if everything was ok. It seemed like no body really cared yesterday and had this been my first visit I would not go back! Not sure my friend ever will!

Had afternoon tea today. We went as a couple . Started off with a glass of prosecco each . Had sandwiches , and a selection of cakes . The warm scone with Jan and clotted scream was my favourite . Got given a pot of tea each . The tea is endless if you want it . A nice pleasant time . Lovely helpful staff

Came for afternoon tea. Groupon treat Hubby has bought me for my birthday. We were booked in for 1pm but arrived at 12.30, had planned a little sightseeing but it was pouring with rain and we were soaked throug. Girl at reception took our coats for us and the staff in the Pima bar were more than happy for us to sit down earlier than booked. Tea included a glass of bubbly, choice of tea and coffee, 4 triangles of sandwiches each (mixed fillings), 6 little cakes and 2 large scones with clotted cream and jam. All the food was really fresh and tasty and nicely presented in the little wooden stand you see in the photo. I asked for some butter for my scone (personal preference) and this was promptly provided. Staff were helpful and attentive. Would happily recommend. Hubby paid £25 for the deal and it was well worth it. If I could change anything it would be to have 1 extra sandwich each and 1 less little cake - personal preference again. If I went again I'd probably just ask if this is possible.

We came for afternoon tea on Friday 10th March at 13.30 ,we were looked after by Hannah who was very attentive and accommodating when we requested certain sandwiches,nothing was too much trouble and always with a happy smile.We would definitely return after such a enjoyable time and wonderful service Thank you Sheila Jamieson

Another fab evening using a living social offer , we just love this bar, staff are always friendly , we have been when it's really busy great atmosphere and when it's been quiet and you can sit have a catch up with your friends and always had a lovely time , looking forward to our next visit

A different selection of food, served in an unusual way, but all very tasty and well presented, with very good and discreet service.Only a small restaurant, but never full, though it would be advisable to reserve a table beforehand.One of our party had a birthday, and at the end of the meal, a cake / dessert was brought out and "Happy Birthday" was sung by the staff. Ideal venue for a special treat.
