The best restaurants serving British food in Central Liverpool North West

Fuimos a comer “pre-”teatro después de la matiné en el Empire. Nuestra primera visita aquí y no será la última! La comida era excelente, excelentes opciones, cómoda velocidad de servicio y el personal era encantador y muy atento. La habitación es muy cómoda y espaciosa. Reservar era fácil y lo recomendaría encarecidamente.

Have been a regular morning and lunch customer for several months now, they are friendly and quick with coffee (black americano, espresso and black/white/soy iced lattes verified👍) . Great breakfast options; in particular: (bacon egg mayo baguette)÷2, chicken & bacon caeser sourdough stick *perfect amount of parmesan - although the smoked salmon egg mayo is no option at breakfast here sadly. LUNCH🍵 soup dragon would be proud, the clangers appreciate the chicken laksa soup especially - mushroom risotto is very filling, great on a cold day and packed with flavour, chicken broth and tomato are nice. Kale mac & cheese, bacon mac & cheese, i forget if there is cauliflower hidden but they are great especially the kale. 🍋raspberry lemonade and, the rhubarb lemonade is boss, as are the other fizzy drinks. Lots of ginger things, the stil selection all refreshing and light, ginger lemon for example. When you have soup you can scandi rye roll or just rye roll or baguette÷2 with mini butter. Scandi rye roll is a sophiscated construction made with smoked salmon and radish and dill atleast. Lovely staff.

Mi hermano gemelo y yo estábamos explorando esta parte de la ciudad cuando decidimos pasar por Scruffy Murphy's Pub, fuimos a este pub en Harrington Street muchas veces a lo largo de los años, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita. Un pub de gran aspecto, el interior es magnífico, un bar llamativo domina la sala principal, decoración y mobiliario del pub, pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte, gran arte de la pared y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub, es solo un pub muy bueno para relajarse. Estábamos aquí en una tarde de febrero amargamente fría, pedimos cervezas de Carling Brewery, estas se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones al ser heladas frías y espumosas, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este pub ocupado y popular mientras bebíamos nuestras cervezas. Mi cerveza era muy buena, una cerveza estilo lager dorada, ligera y con lúpulo rebosante de sabor y muy fácil de beber sobre todo cuando se sirve helada fría como en este pub, era tan bueno estar en un pub tan encantador disfrutando de una cerveza de calidad y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a Scruffy Murphy's Pub nos lo pasamos muy bien. Scruffy Murphy's Pub es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Harrington Street. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a domingo, abierto de 11 am. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

When here for the first time, lady at the front was friendly and helpful, after that a young Asian lady took over, and it went downhill from there. Her voice was barely audible. She did not add jam as a side to the order for toast nor butter, nor did she convey that different bread was available but costed more, or soya also costed more, either way when we sought clarification for the bread from another server, the manager turned up at our table, his attitude was quite belligerent as was his stance. He didn't even resolve the situation as he forgot to add the order,which actually favoured us. The food was good, so the sourdough toast and jam was excellent, as was the taste of the scrambled egg on granary bread, albeit the egg was cold. The flatwhite was good equally. The bill already had a service charge added, to which we asked for this to be removed as the level of service provided did not merit this charge. Even though the food was good I would not dine here again, sadly the worst service I have encountered for a long time, with a turnip of a manager not dealing with a situation in a calm manner.

This was my 2nd visit at Town house and service was amazing as first time. Food was nice steak done the way I like it. We were served by Farris who has excellent service skills his smile was welcoming and so happy to help explain all aspects of the Brunch we enjoyed. Stress is Dessert spelt backwards come her to feel recharged.

Friendly service, excellent coffee and a delicious lunch. The setting is lovely! The room at the back is airy and light. We had a snack lunch which was so good I’d eaten it before I remembered to take pictures. A good range of choices on the menu and the cakes look amazing. Altogether a great experience.

Excellent staff, great location, old fashioned room but was very clean- no complaints! Loved the bathtub:)

Food is fine. Service fine but it's a great pub and the quiz has to be the best in Liverpool. Highly recommend

Avoid paying £15 for the birthday package it's just a cheap balloon, one supermarket muffin and card from the cats. Hot drinks machine is so-so. Gets a bit cramped and crowded with people in there but the cats were lovely.

Good, authentic, and down-to-earth food. It feels a bit like it's homemade or even made by mom. It could use a bit more seasoning, but the portions and prices are really good. The staff varies greatly. Some seem cheerful and friendly, others seem annoyed and as if they'd rather be somewhere else. We'd come back.
