I love the cat cafe. £15 for an hour is perfectly reasonable especially given drinks are included. Cats are well cared for, loved and happy. Staff are friendly and chatty. Can’t fault this place! Food is standard cafe meals however cake is delicious!!

Firstly, I am very disappointed in the quality of my visit. As soon as I walked in I was met by a woman who was very rude and had no manners. She already made the atmosphere feel off as soon as I walked in. Nothing sociable or welcoming about this place at all. I feel as though the pricing is way too high for the ‘experience’. If you are willing to pay £50 to look at a few cats then you should definitely consider. I’d rather sit and pet a few stray cats outside than go to this overpriced mad house. The coffee machine is cold. The hygiene in there is concerning. There was cat fur encrusted on a rim of a mug which was highly unacceptable. I saw staff walking around with a plate of cake in one hand and a cat in the other. Like have some respect for peoples food! On all 3 floors it was uncomfortably silent. No engagement at all. Don’t get me wrong the cats are wonderful but I feel like people who pay that amount of money to see the cats should be able to give them small treats like the people who reserve their tables. When you think about it people are sat awkwardly watching the cats obsess over other people because they a few treats. All people should get a small jar of treats because it isn’t fair for others.Others don’t get enough time to enjoy the company of the cats half because other people are hogging them and the other because people don’t have enrichment for the cats to take notice of them. Definitely not worth the money. The people are unsociable and odd. There was no friendliness at all. Gutted because I’m a proper cat lover but this place wasn’t it at all.

As a cat lover, I've been to a number of cat cafes over the years. This was one of the first ones I visited and to this day is still the absolute best in terms of experience and value for money. You pay £15 for an hour of cafe time, and that price includes all of your drinks. They do serve food as well at an additional cost; which is a decent sized selection of toasted snacks and cakes. The best part of the cafe; of course is the cats. They're all super friendly and an absolute joy to be around. A recent addition is the arrival of two snow Bengal kittens which absolutely made my day. I lost track of the time playing with them! The staff are all amazing too. They're all very knowledgeable about the cats and very friendly; everyone I spoke to was up for a chat. They also make an absolute amazing cup of coffee which in my opinion tastes much better than high street brands... and considering you can order as many as you like in your cafe time as it's included in the price it's a bargain honestly. I suffer from anxiety and depression and when I'm having a particularly bad time I always come here. The atmosphere is incredibly soothing and nothing calms me down more than being surrounded by cats. This genuinely is one of my favourite places to be in Liverpool. Thanks so much. :) UPDATE: My last visit here was on my birthday on 17th January. It was this visit that I noticed coffee machines had replaced the freshly prepared coffee by the staff. I've had to knock 2 stars off food and a star off overall for this. I will still come here for the cats and the atmosphere but if I wanted coffee machine coffee I would have gone to Wetherspoons. The coffee was so great before who on earth thought this was a good decision?? I get that it was probably done to decrease wait times but that coffee was worth it. These machines don't make it nowhere near as good and it just seems like a cynical business move to cut costs and hire less staff. I do NOT approve.

A pretty good cat cafe but not the best we've been to. The cats were beautiful and there were lots but they all slept through the hour. Not the cafe's fault though. Cakes were yummy. Drinks were included in the price. Staff were lovely and helpful. It seats a lot of people but there's only one toilet though so each of us spent a long time queuing for it. A bit of a waste of the price to get in.

cats were great, pascal was my best friend the entire time, HOWEVER, when booking, I personally would not recommend purchasing the afternoon tea package as it is quite expensive for what you get, a few sandwiches and tiny tiny desserts and a scone each (photo is afternoon tea for 2), you are better off purchasing a panini for £6 from the menu, albeit the sandwiches were nice. the cats are super adorable though and definitely recommend trying out

The staff are friendly, the food i wouldn’t know but drinks are definitely very good and nice to see they made them unlimited as you do pay £30-50 for an hour stay. I loved the cats, personally think there wasn’t enough to see,but it’s a very calm, chill atmosphere when you’re not being crowded by so many people. The best cat cafe I've been to, and significantly better than its counterparts in Nottingham and Birmingham. The welcome was friendly and all the cats are evidently so relaxed and well taken care of. The building itself is great with three floors and ample seating throughout. It's great to be able to enjoy seeing the cats without children running around and pestering them constantly, like they're allowed to do in other cat cafes. While £16 each may seem a bit steep for an hour, you can easily make the most of by getting as many complimentary hot and cold drinks as you want too. We're already looking forward to returning.

There are 3 levels. The cats are calm, sociable and well-groomed. We especially liked playing with the two new sphinx kittens, which were playful and lively. The ragdolls, snow bengals and maine coons, and other cats, were good company too. Thanks to the cafe staff for being welcoming and helpful.

such a lovely, cosy place to go, definitely affordable too. i go every time i get the chance and i can’t wait to go back. there’s 3 floors with plenty of cats hanging about looking for a good pet. staff are lovely, cats are very well looked after. very honest place, reasonably priced food and drinks are free from what i can remember. i’d spend a whole day there if i could!! everytime ive come down from manchester, its been absolutely worth it, so i recommend making the journey. i dont think ive ever booked, usually just walk in when i arrive. plenty of cat toys and wands about to interact with them. seating areas are super nice too and service is great. no specific time limit, i believe you can head out whenever you are ready and pay every 15 minutes or so that you’re there. a lot better than leeds kitty cafe in my opinion as usually they seem to have lots of kids tormenting and harassing the cats, which absolutely does not happen here. but this place is 100/10 you should definitely go!

Liverpool’s cat cafe is by far one of the very best we have visited. Truly organized, clean and friendly cats surrounding visitors. They use a timed system charge, drinks included. We stayed for 30 minutes inside, which is enough. They have coffee machines in all 3 levels and it is self service. If anyone wants to order food, then it is to be ordered on ground floor, against a reasonable price. All cats will gather around you and truly demand their share as soon as they see you having a ham toast so I truly recommend ordering one :). The cat cafe does not accept tips by card so I truly suggest carrying some cash as they truly deserve a tip for up keeping this cafe and their cats in such a magnificent way. A definite recommendation for anyone who is a cat lover same as we are, while visiting the beautiful Liverpool city.

One of the rules is to not wake sleeping cats, but when the cats are sleeping or attempting to sleep customers are constantly touching, petting and trying to play with them with wands which obviously disturbs them from sleep. I know if my cat was trying to sleep and I kept bothering him he’d eventually become frustrated and grumpy. A lot of the cats cover their eyes when sleeping as a sign that they don't want to be disturbed but it's not respected. I also don't get why they use breeder cats when they could use rescue cats and adopt them out. Just donate to a shelter or rescue org.

I visited this café yesterday (December 5th 2024). I was excited to visit as a cat lover who can't have cats due to living in student accommodation. I booked an hour long stay and I liked the café overall, although I do have some slight criticisms too. The furniture and aesthetics are good as well as the drinks. The staff were polite enough and the woman at reception gave me refund immediately for a festive afternoon tea thing I'd added to my booking, as you apparently have to book at least 1 day in advance. I think it'd be useful if they stated this on their website, but at least I was given the refund immediately with no issues at all. This meant I only had to pay £15 instead. While the hot chocolate I had was free and nice, I had to pay for my food. This is fine but a little bit odd admittedly. However, I wouldn't mind too much if it wasn't for the fact that I waited 22 whole minutes to be served. I saw only 1 table on the 2nd floor where I was get served and it seemed like staff mostly stayed on the ground floor. I had to approach one of them to ask if I had to wait to be served or go downstairs. Only then did she take my order. Luckily it then came quick enough and the food was good quality, but they really need to improve on this. I saw 2 other customers leave seemingly for also having to wait a long time. It seems like there aren't enough staff either. They were at least helpful and polite though. The cats spent most of their time sleeping, but that's understandable. I got to stroke a few and they seemed relaxed and happy. However, the café could do with stricter limits on how many people can be in at 1 time, as it made it feel more cramped and I worry that the cats might feel that especially. Also, there's a rule that you shouldn't stroke sleeping cats, but most people did that anyway, including one of the staff members. I stroked them too though and it seems like they don't really enforce that rule as long as you're nor actually waking them up and bothering them a lot. As I left, some people arrived for a birthday party and a staff member made a noise with something for all the cats to go over. I understand it's for making the birthday experience even better, but it made it seem even more cramped than before to the point I could actually tell 1 of the cats that walked past me really didn't like it, as he reacted negatively to me standing next to him as he came by. He was calm soon after but again I worry that it's a bit cramped for the cats. Overall, I liked coming here and I definitely will visit again. I think the positives outweigh the negatives, but there definitely need to be some improvements.

Visited the Cat Cafe yesterday......what a let down, we were booked for 1.00pm. When we entered the Cafe, the ground floor was sparse of cats, went upstairs to the next level to find quite a few cats but absolutely nowhere to sit, some people were standing, the next level was busy with people .....no seats, we had to settle for ground level table, 1 cat did saunter in briefly but left. It was a surprise for my neice. Why are we giving time slots if the cafe cannot accomodate . We thought as our time schedule was given people would be leaving. Saw people continually coming in but no one leaving. Felt the self service system for drinks was very clinical, food was very limited. The £15.00 cost per person is definitely over priced.

Cats were in amazing condition and it felt like they were happy to be around people, they had the choice to go out the back if they wanted to. Would have loved to have seen more about the cats, breeds, personalities etc. (I will say it is across 3 floors so if you have needs, best to see if you can arrange to have a table down stairs before you go)

I was disappointed. You should really book ahead here. The cafe itself has three floors. The second floor is really where all the action is. Basically, that is where all the cats like to be, so people take up all the tables there. It isn't a huge place, so not many tables. My daughter and I walked in off the street. We had to go to the top floor. People had reserved tables in advance and also "placed" their things on chairs when they weren't even sat there, which really annoys me. So there was one cat luckily, he was the devil in disguise lol. Myself, my daughter and a lively little girl all played with this cat. He was gorgeous. The staff were good, offering food and self served drinks. If you wanted specialised drinks like a coffee with other things in it, you ordered it rather than getting it from the machine. The price included unlimited food and drinks. Food like cakes, crumpets, scones, toasted ta cakes etc. Hot and cold drinks. Really nice hot and cold drinks as well, not cheap ones. It was really clean of cat hair etc. the cats that we did see, are really looked after. There are toys you can play with them with. There are rules about not disturbing them when asleep or picking them up, which is right. I have been a cat owner and these are common sense rules. Let the cats come to you. Apparently they will but I can't comment on that. We did meet a lovely father and daughter there. He welcomed us to "his city" ☺️. That was really nice. If I were to come here again, I would book in advance. Also watch the time and price.

Any start-up business, take lessons "Cat Cafe are on a mission to make animal assisted therapy accessible to everyone.", but we rearly have free walk in, so you'll must pay if you want to see the cats. And you can't actually pet the cats unless they come to you etc. Not to mention that it is closely related to exploration since the cats have no say in it, and how will they since they don't speak. Although, yes, they are used in therapy. Conclusion, have a mission statement for facade, make sure your employees have limited rights and power, and paired it with high prices (they have £1 something for 5min) - cause most of the times people associated spending with high status. Personally, I think you guys nailed it at using the system in your favour, and the only reason I gave you 1 start is because I see no integrity. Nevertheless, I'm truly concerned of where this will lead (for example, some might go to the extreme and actually harm animals only to use them as an excuse for gathering donations).

once i went here and there was this developmentally challenged boy chasing and yelling at all the cats his sight landed on, it was very uncomfortable watching him race around and bother these cats that were really not interested in him. I definitely don't think they should of kicked him out because of his disability but at least tell him off. Obviously no one was brave enough to due to his condition, a little cowardice of the staff when the cats were clearly suffering. it was really cringe worthy to watch them all run away from him. I'm surprised his parents did nothing as well, shameful. i think the cafe should be adults only, the kids don't understand the rules or ignore and often harass the cats. the cats like to be left alone which is quite frustrating when watching grown adults (mostly karens) stick their phones right in their faces to post to their facebook page no one cares about. I enjoy how reclusive the cats are at the location but the amount of people who go here trying to get a reaction out of them when there clearly not bothered is frustrating to watch. its always too crowded in here as well.

Not worth the money. The cats are gorgeous and amazing, as all cats are, but there weren’t enough of them to make the experience worth it. It cost 2 of us £30 for an hour and we each had a coffee and I had an orange juice. The coffees were fine but the orange juice was warm. Over the 3 floors I think we saw about 8 cats but all but 1 were sleeping. Maybe my expectations were too high but I definitely feel like it was a bit of a rip off - £30 for 2 coffees and to stroke one cat? Won’t be back again.

Paid for an hour. Saw a handful of cats on the middle floor but not seats available. Top floor cat and human-less. One cat on the bottom floor fast asleep. Had a nice cuppa but ultimately didn't really get the experience. A very expensive cuppa!

This is the second cat cafe I've ever been to, the first one, in Nottingham, was pretty awful. Children weren't being too friendly and the smell was horrific. In comparison, this place was amazing. The cats were all lovely and the workers were kind and helpful too. It smelt lovely with good food & refreshments. <3

It is expensive but the cats are incredibly cute and I had a great time. It's a big place so plenty of space to sit. Menu is decent as well!

Such a beautiful little cafe! Very well looked after, clean and friendly staff. The cats are very well looked after and have lots of things to do and spaces to roam. Very well priced and you get your drinks free, theu offer food at an extra cost but very worth it. They have a shop at the front with keyrings of the cats (so cute!) if I'm ever in Liverpool again I will definitely be stopping by!

Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Hype I recently visited the Cat Cafe in Liverpool with my daughter, expecting a magical hour of bonding over our shared love for cats. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of our expectations and felt like a complete rip-off. Despite paying £15 each for entry, which doesn't include any food, we were shocked by how underwhelming the visit was. We only saw three cats, and with so few around, there was a noticeable scramble among visitors to get their attention. It made the whole atmosphere stressful rather than relaxing. Hoping to salvage the experience, we ordered some food, but were further disappointed. The food was nothing special—just standard Panini café fare you could get anywhere. To top it off, the staff appeared disinterested and fed up, adding to the overall negative vibe. In the end, we were in and out within 25 minutes, far less time than we had anticipated. What was meant to be a joyful, memorable outing turned out to be a letdown. Save your money and time—this place is nothing more than a tourist trap. Avoid.

Such a relaxing and amazing place to have a hot drink. The cats are adorable, the staff and friendly and the vibe is amazing. When going I recommend to sit in the quieter areas as the cats don’t tend to hang around areas where there are loud children

Visited here for my fiancé’s birthday back in June. I wish I had have known that Saturdays were kids time. Because it’s the only day we could go for his birthday. There were kids everywhere. A kids party was going on downstairs and there were about 15 kids running riot. They were chasing cats, grabbing them by the tail, running and picking them up when they were trying to sleep. The cats looked so distressed. They started lashing out and biting and scratching the kids and the parents in charge were saying “that cats awful” instead of telling off the children. They were running on all 3 floors so the cats ended up hiding up the top so they didn’t have to be near them. We saw one cat come near us enough to stroke it the whole time. Also our drinks somehow got missed off so we didn’t get them until 35 mins into our booking. They did let us extend it by ten mins which was good but we had to leave as we had another booking straight after. The staff were lovely and I did see them telling the kids off but I know they can’t do a lot it’s down to the parents.

We visited here on 26-08-24, we felt the price we paid for an hour was reasonable, the unlimited drinks was reasonable and had lots of choice, food was extra but we didn't purchase any of the food so can't comment on that part. It seemed clean, and the cats are absolutely stunning and look like they are well kept, and all seem happy within themselves, there were playful young ones, and older cats that rightly wanted leaving alone. The staff could do with wearing a smile occasionally I get you probably don't want to smile all the time but at least try a few times within the day it may make you more warming and look less miserable, or look for a job where you are not serving others, one of the colleagues with the blue hair took it upon herself to speak to a few children who were on the stairs in an awful manner with my child in this group, now whilst I truly wanted to give her a peace of my mind at this point, I would have been asked to leave and felt it best to post online after calming down, I get that children can become over excited and possibly being somewhere they really shouldn't be, but there not something you stepped on, they are our children and to see a colleague act like that towards them was just plain nasty to see. I feel if you changed the staff members to ones that would build rapport and communicate with your customers and actually have a conversation about the cats would have been far better then the miserable faces which were displayed by all members of staff!! Took two stars off because I believe that the service stands for a lot of the experience, after visiting here previously, we want be returning unless the service gets better.

Visited the cat cafe today in Liverpool after really enjoying the experience in Slovakia. The cats were lovely and the humans were friendly. Service was slow though and for 5 of us, the cost for just 40 minutes was £64.90. We only had one drink and snack each and the food wasn’t great quality. Sorry, but we won’t be visiting again.

A total rip-off. It looks lovely and staff are kind, but It’s small, on 3 floors and feels crammed. We paid a lot for the time we spent there and hardly saw any cats. Cats are stressed out and prefer to hide (quite rightly). You pay a lot just to spend 30 minutes at a normal cafe’… that’s what it boils down to. not worth one’s money

The cats are treated well and willingly lend themselves to cuddles, the coffee was a little long but still drinkable. Small note, you pay for the time spent in the restaurant and drinks are included

I've been coming to this cat cafe at least once a year for the last 3 years, sometimes more than once. We visited on a Friday in August, and it was the worst experience we have had so far. Firstly, there were just too many children, the youngest clearly being no more than 6. All the customers had clustered on one floor, obviously where all the cats were. The children were not treating the cats with respect, following them round, waking them up and just not appropriately handling them or following the cat cafés own instructions. The parents of course, were not paying their children any mind, or trying to stop them for not petting the cats properly. It did appear to be an accident/cat lashing out waiting to happen. We chose to sit away from all the commotion on the top floor and there were 2 cats in our vicinity, fast asleep in their cat trees quite high up (in cat speak a huge "sod off I'm sleeping"). Children were walking up and down the stairs generally making a nuisance of themselves looking for cats, and actually disturbed us from our tea and scones to pet one of the sleeping ones behind us. The staff didn't seem too bothered by this, and looked quite fed up. The place was also not as clean as it usually is, and smelt more of cat than I've ever experienced. We ourselves have cats, and I do like the principle of donating to a cat charity to take care of rescues. We were disappointed to say the least at the standards this time round (and by the prices, £7.60 per person, per half hour, plus food on top) and will not be visiting again for some time. The cats appear to be well looked after, just not well treated by the patrons that attend. Other cat cafés we've visited have age restrictions for children. May be that is something that should be enforced more readily, alongside the staff educating children on how to handle cats properly too.

Friendly staff, plenty of friendly pedigree cats which are clearly very well looked after, with lots of climbing and scratching areas around the cafe for them to use. We went at the child friendly hours and my son enjoyed it.

Popped into Cat Cafe again yesterday as I had a little time to wait before catching my train home. The girls on the front desk were lovely as usual and explained all the protocols to me, including not picking up or following the cats around and not disturbing them when they are sleeping by petting them. As I walked into the cafe area I was immediately greeted by Austen, one of the Bengals, who immediately rubbed himself against my legs and then jumped into my carrier bag! After this excitement, I went and had a look around on all the floors to see which cats were around. It was late afternoon and a lot of the cats were sleeping as I expected (they are cats!) or enjoying some time in their private living spaces. Shortly after I got a drink and a shortbread and sat and enjoyed the ambiance. I even got to meet two new cats who haven’t been officially unveiled yet. I noted that there were a few special packages dotted around but there was ample room for me and other walk-in customers to sit and relax. With the special packages they get treats to entice the cats over, I don’t feel this is unfair to myself or anyone who walks in as when you are celebrating something you want that bit of special treatment and something to make your visit all the better. I have had special packages before and after the treats are gone some of the cats do wander off and visit with other customers so there are always opportunities for interaction if you are calm and patient. After 30 minutes I had to go and my visit came to £9. I have seen some reviews saying they believe the cafe is horribly overpriced but I can’t say that I agree. The cafe must cover costs of food, litter, vet visits and health checks, yearly vaccinations and any other unforeseen costs that come along with cat ownership. When taking this things into consideration, whilst the pricing may be more than some other similar establishments, I don’t believe it’s in the extreme. * On cat interactions: I noted a few reviews before my visit about limited opportunities to interact with the cats. I think it is important to remember that these cats are not performing at a circus. The cafe is their home and they should be able to come and go as they please. They all have their own unique personalities and this should be celebrated. It is just as lovely to sit and watch them potter around or sleep as it is to have them come and sit on your lap. The cat to customer ratio may seem odd but there is a delicate balance when caring for a multi-cat environment and the associated health issues that can arise from this and I believe they manage this very well. It is obviously not practical for a for-profit business to have one customer per cat. It is also very possible that if no cat wants to interact with you, you and your vibe may be the problem! Overall I would recommend Cat Cafe to anyone who loves cats and wants to spend time appreciating them, but you must manage your expectations. They are not there to entertain. You are guests in their home. Thanks for another lovely visit 💕

£15 per person JUST for entry. Free drinks but you have to pay for the food. My problem with this place is they do not give everyone treats, but pick people out specifically to give to. There are about 5 cats total, there were none of the first floor, and the second floor was packed with people so we couldn't sit down (where all the cats were). The third floor had one cat that was sleeping, which according to the rules we weren't allowed to touch. The cafe is extremely small and if you pay £15 per person, that is £75 for a family. Any food is additional, and the prices aren't great either for food. I can PROMISE you it is not worth £75 coming here. Save your money people.

Wonderful cafe, price is reasonable for what you get £1 per 5 minutes with unlimited drinks included. Cats are adorable as cats should be. Only tried the chia latte out of a pretty big list of hot and cold drinks and it was nice enough to rival costa. Staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Overall a great experience and i would return.

Friendly place with good food and staff helpful and friendly. But when we arrived they seemed overwhelmed and it was a bit haphazard. Food service was slow, but good when it arrived. If you're going to a show afterwards, give yourself loads of time if you don't want to be watching the clock!

Fantastic meal at Milo Lounge once again. New menu dishes include the Sri Lankan Curry with Marinated Chicken with was delicious, followed by the new Tiramichoux dessert which is just as good as it looks. Great service, as always. Top notch.
